I feel like I am in a waking nightmare, with so much happening that seems to be rolling us back to the bad old days.

Back in the 80's we once heard Aussie Dr. Helen Caldicott speak in Austin while she was on a tour promoting doing away with nuclear weapons. She said Americans were suffering from 'psychic numbing' with all the fail and catastrophes that were surrounding each day, and thus were not taking the necessary action destroy nuclear weapons.

There are no issues in the 2016 Presidential race.

Maybe there were issues when Bernie Sanders was running. Sanders made an issue of honesty, of whether or not any of the political rhetoric you hear coming from the mouths of the politicians had any relation to what the politicians were going to do. And then Sanders endorsed Clinton, and, lo and behold, it didn't, again. And the issue disappeared.

Email from physician's office - new fees

I don't know about you, but I've been getting $5 bills from my doctors for the last year or so - never have quite figured this out. This is after paying my co-payment at the office when I arrive for an appointment.

We have this morning the residue from a 100 year flood in Louisiana, and a terrifying wild fire, the largest of many, in CA. What if Mt. Rainier had erupted at the same time, pouring tons of mud on surrounding communities? It is considered active, in geological terms, along with Hood, Adams and many of the other Cascade volcanoes.

These are disasters of Biblical proportions. "Capitalism", "Free Market" cannot cope with them.
