Thank Goodness For Republicans (Sort Of)

It's no secret I think that the Trans-Pacific Partnership is the worst "trade" deal ever representing a complete corporate take over of the United States government and the end of democracy as we know it (oh, it's also bad economically and excuses actual factual 18th and 19th Century style slavery).

All 4 Presidential Campaigns (Green, Libertarian, Republican, and Democratic) have rejected it (Deez Nuts is silent on the issue). Of the two major parties, one candidate has been completely opposed from the start (though given that it's Trump he's probably lying) and one (after a too close for comfort Primary) has changed her mind and currently says "I oppose it now, I'll oppose it after the election and I'll oppose it as president." Clinton is reluctant to directly call on Obama to withdraw the pact or to lobby Congressional Democrats against it because it would be "disrespectful" to the President (let me show you some disrespect- Barack Obama is a murderer and a War Criminal).

Fortunately the decision has been taken out of their hands by none other than Human/Turtle Hybrid Mitch McConnell, Senate Majority Leader.

Stein--Delaware Success, New National Polling

Another day, more steps forward for candidate Jill Stein of the Green Party.

Stein is now officially on the ballot in the state of Delaware! That brings her total number of "on the ballot" states to 35 plus Washington D.C. Delaware adds access to 3 electoral college votes, so I believe she is now has direct access to 425 electoral votes (not including the 3 write-in states).

So NOW the MSM wants to talk about election fraud...

Lee Camp on RT just hit the ball out of the park with his observations about the media's change in stance on election fraud. His previous segments on the subject are all quite good and his facts are credible (I fact check him a lot) - not perfect, but not many mistakes. Anyway, I find him credible. Check out the relevant part in this video or watch the whole thing, its great. The segment starts at about 15:40.

American workers can do everything right and still lose.

This diary is simply a pointer to the best article I’ve read on the plight of organized labor in the US. I would urge you to read it in full if you have an interest in labor, unions, or the working class as a whole. It presents a good explanation for why the organized labor has been eviscerated in this country and an excellent explanation for why organized labor is essential to maintain a strong, secure working class.

Last night's Sanders call and the reason for it.

Short post because I'm back on the iPhone for a few days. You know how it is. Needed air conditioning the past couple months so it's keep the electricity going or pay Internet (which you can't use without electricity) and somehow find money to pay all this and find someone to borrow something to live on until the 3rd of September (having had 32 cents in the bank for the last 9 days). My daughter Carrie has been an absolute angel and paid for my phone for a couple years.
