Black Cats and Attitudes: Street Prophets Sunday All Day Brunch

Welcome to Sunday Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. As many of you know I am owned by a black cat named Pixie. She can be very loving but boy does she have an attitude.

Pixie has a loud voice when she meows. When it is close to what she thinks suppertime should be she starts yelling to me. The closer to the time she is fed the more the meow comes out NOW.

Pixie loves sleeping with me but she expects me to sleep on my left side so she can get on top of the legs so I can't move. She will tap me with her paw until I roll over. She has me well trained.

Her latest attitude stunt is still making me laugh. I was sitting on the bed reading and she was on the floor guarding it from whatever she was guarding it from. Reid can bring the wheelchair so it is at the foot of my bed. Pixie glared at Reid and jumped up on the bed and got into his face and gave a loud meow. She then turned around and stuck her butt in his face and flipped her tail at him and walked over and sat down next to me.

It is all about the attitude. Mom told her she was a Princess and she has been acting like it ever sense. her philosophy is "I like my attitude. You change yours."

There is no justice. There can be no peace.

that s/he's not the featured kitty on Animal Planet and is quite cross (rightfully so, I'd have thought!)

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.

I have no cat toys to experiment with, alas!

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

All cats have cattitude. It's genetic. Ginger also has a big demanding voice. The others let her speak for them. When Blues was alive, she'd make the demands in her plaintive voice and Ginger almost never spoke then, but has taken over since. Well, spokescats are preferred to spokesdogs, IMO.

This is a good open thread to mention the Caucus Catalog(ue). Michelewln and I and several other progressives are in there and can help everyone wrap up their holiday shopping! See logo to the right.

Also, a pre-announcement: I plan to have a Caucus Critters post up tomorrow afternoon for some fun and a semi-serious discussion of something that has been on my mind lately!

The MSM has really been sucking at propaganda lately, as should be obvious. Fortunately a group of experts hasbravely come to the rescue: PropOrNot.org. Not to be confused with a Special Ed. project of a similar name. They are dedicated to bring the quality back to propaganda. Remember the Maine! Shit, remember Tonkin Gulf. Man, they just don't make 'em like that anymore.
