(I know I shouldn't say any of this below, I fear I'll just catch grief, but I've typed it all and I need to blurt it out, so I'm leaving my own rant, on your rant - which is a fine diary - and you can ignore the rest of my comment ...)

I'm over and over reminded of The Mainstream Media and Its Discontents over at CounterPunch, and a quote in it:

Add to that an article here where the writer was complaining about an article at NYT, and I said, "go to CounterPunch and The Intercept, not the neoliberal NYT." The writer replied, "I go to those too ..."

I thought, "too" means he's still infected by the “the surrounding power system in the society” and as long as he subjects himself to the negative thoughts of "global Capitalism, or Neoliberalism, or whatever you want to call it" he will be subject to being discontent.

I also think of mental health a lot, since I deal with a sociopath regularly in real life, and we have two sociopath's running for the office of President ... I guess I'm trying to say, Don't go to TOP, it's bad for your mental health and frames the world in their "“acceptable” boundaries of political and cultural discourse" and you then internalize their worldview.

any type of legal proceeding involving anal rape? Besides me? Like, in 30 years, I have defended an accused, gotten custody of a child victim from the mom/rape environment the non-raping Dad three times, have represented the child rape victims in Child Protective Services twice, and have represented one anal rape victim who was in prison. I represented a woman who was anally raped by her religious nut husband because he found her vagina impure.
Let me just say, reading the medical reports and seeing the photos, done under the auspices of doctors, such as Dr. Dworkin, are goddam tough. Hearing the testimony of Doctors, such as Dr. Dworkin, about anal penetration, is NOT for the faint hearted. Testimony of the victims will change your world.

As I have been involved with a variety of genders and anal penetration of children and adults, husbands and wives, I didn't take it as homophobic, although I clicked and gave him support.
