Liz Warren is possibly the smartest person in Washington. She's already proven herself to be effective, which does not require further emphasis by me. She does an exquisite job at skewering self-serving, sociopathic Banksters, Federal Revolving Door bureaucrats, Koch-suckers. She gets under the skin of Donald Trump like no one else can (three cheers for that attribute alone).

Furthermore, she is a master politician whose name has been invoked by two presidential candidates, as well as lurker Joe Biden, as possible vice-presidential candidate. That displays true political mastery!

So, now, several possible scenarios why Liz might choose to run for VP regardless of who asks her:
1. If HRC wins the nomination, and all goes well for Shillary (because the system is rigged), then Liz gets a free ride to national prominence. If HRC loses the general election, Liz's political career will not be harmed--she has a safe seat in the Senate.

2. If Bernie wins, their pairing would unite possibly the entire Democratic Party as well as many Independents, so producing a Democratic victory in November. Now Liz might not want to run with Bernie, because she could feel Veep is only a figure-head position and her estimable skills would be put to better use by remaining a voting member of the Senate. She would certainly feel comfortable with Bernie's proposals and progressivism--if they do have differences, those differences would be minor. Of course Bernie stands to gain with her running for Veep.

3. This is where it gets interesting: returning once more to Hillary's enlisting Liz to run as Veep, a tantalizing prospect opens up: as Judge Anthony Napolitano (yes, he's right wing but he knows the law) states that "A perfect [legal] storm" is closing in on Hillary. The FBI is already on her case, with interview of her inner circle at State due to testify (if that is the correct term) in the next few weeks. Very possibly HRC may be requested to e interview--something which she said about 6 months ago that she be glad to do--such an interview is likely to be a lose-lose situation for Hillary. If she does not agree to the interview, then what little credibility she may retain up to that point will be lost. Another possible outcome is that HRC will say something contrary to testimony by her top cronies, which would open a wide wound suitable for further criminal probing. But wait, there's more!

Judicial Watch is coming at her from currently two sides at once (with other probes likely due to other acts of FOIA obstructionism yet pending). Each of the two JW probes have been authorized by two federal judges, neither of whom are pleased with Hillary's and the State Departments handling of requests for information. This means that almost simultaneously, expositions under oath will be overseen by each of the judges, with same cast of potential malefactors testifying at each hearing. In fact, one judge has apparently given JW the green light to question HRC under oath. It is also possible that the other judge may do likewise, compelling Shillary to testify in the other, contemporaneous lawsuit.

Even if HRC is ultimately vindicated (if I may be permitted to use such an odious adjective as applying to her), this time in deposition and in interviews will take Clinton off the campaign trail for some days. Now accepting the real possibility that BHO will either pardon her or have Attorney General Lynch refuse to indict her will:
a) drive a wedge irremediably into the heart of the democratic Party, breaking it asunder--this would deprive Hillary of much need potential support from her own party, without which she cannot be elected President. Following this train of thought further, if Shillary does not get elected, Warren's career is not damaged--because nobody votes for Vice-President really. Liz will retain her chair in the Senate meanwhile garnering national name-recognition, which would provide a positive boost for any upward moves she might consider (e.g., President).

b) in the off chance that the legal quagmire does not take Clinton down before election day and she WINS the presidential election then there are three subsidiary possibilities which would benefit Liz Warren immensely:

1) She is criminally indicted after her election and foes from office holder to wearing an orange jump suit. This outcome makes Liz Warren President (one caveat to this scenario: can a sitting President pardon him/herself?)

2) She is not criminally indicted, does win the Presidency but is immediately impeached by the House of Representatives. If not removed from office by the Senate, HRC will effectively be a lame duck president from the outset. In that case, had she any honor (a dubious proposition), she would resign the presidency, leaving Liz Warren as president.

3) HRC does win the presidency, is impeached by the House of Representatives AND removed from office by vote of the Senate, then Liz Warren becomes President.

The way I see it, it would make perfect sense for Senator Warren to agree to being HRC's running "mate".
