I'm Back! Alpha's Primary watchers live blog for W.V. & Nebraska
Hi guys!
Sorry I missed the last one, with family in town I haven't had a second to do anything but clean and entertain, lol!
I sent them all off to Disney Land as present for my wife's graduatio, for a few days of a quite house for me, and of course, to allow me to able to hang with my C99P Peeps for tonight's primary.
I will update this post with the Guardians links and the TYT live feed once they go up (probably closer to 6:30ish EST).
The first polls to close will be West Virginia at 7:30PM EST followed by Nebraska at 9:00PM EST.
I look forward to seeing you guys! I got a new bottle of 12 year old barrel aged Scotch, a fresh bag and a positive feeling about tonight!
Hopefully we won't have to look at Mini-Hillary tonight much at all.
Go Bernie! This shit ain't over till WE say it's over!
Zoe and Loki are sitting here in Alpha's Election Central ready to assist me as usual (If by assist you mean repeatedly pestering me for cookies and scratchies, lol.)
I think Zoe may be in love with Bernie, whenever I have one of his speeches on TV she comes and sits right in front of it, it's actually kinda odd. (It would be scary if she did it for Clinton, I would have to cut her cookie rations which could lead to trouble. )
These should help keep you smiling until the results start trickling in.
I think this last one is obvious pro-spider propaganda. (I make my wife handle them, I would rather deal with a 6 foot snake than a 1/2 inch spider... )
And again I apologize for missing the last one, I hope I didn't let anyone down.
Update:
Ok, apparently the original Live Blog exploded or something and is down so here it goes again.
Here is the TYT Live feed.

if Bernie says he's won WV based on exit polls...
then I assume all the networks/media have that info. So why hasn't it been called, like how Arizona got called for Hills immediately?
drama
Or maybe they are trying to make a point of those exit polls
should the "actual" results somehow turn out for Hillary like they magically have in the past. Somebody should. This primary is such bullshit.

I think that MSNBC
called it for Bernie right after the polls closed. This was probably based on exit polls.

Maybe the exit polling showed a big enough lead that Bernie was sure it wouldn't be stolen from him. Hope so.

Todd said it was more of a vote against Hillary.

I don't mind picking up votes against Hillary.
Trump implicitly gave his supporters to do such a thing when he told them they didn't have to vote at all today because he had it all wrapped up.

I'm arguing with myself
about why Trump would turn his supporters loose. Arrogance? Maybe. But he doesn't want to run against Bernie, does he? Clinton would be a much easier target. Maybe he doesn't want to run against Biden. I'm sure he has more info than I have and maybe he knows something.
Life is strong. I'm weak, but Life is strong.
He did recently say something to the effect of
how much he'd love to run against "Crooked Hillary" and that it would be fun. Bernie Sanders? Not so much.
The people, united, will never be defeated.
Look at these exit poll results before they change them
Look how Sanders support is consistent across all income levels and across the political spectrum from very liberal to moderate, and tell me why the DNC can't recognize which candidate is viable for the general... sigh:
http://www.cbsnews.com/elections/2016/primaries/democrat/west-virginia/e...
ETA:
This one is particularly interesting - Bernie leads among both those who want more liberal and less liberal policies in the next administration. He can appeal to a whole lot of people, whether liberal or conservative.
And the second one - he did better among people with coal workers in family, then flip flopping liar Hillary who pandered to the coal workers instead of telling the truth:
I believe the DNC recognizes him as viable
They know the people will come through, especially if he's running against Trump.
What they don't like about Sanders is the he doesn't represent their best interests. Bernie is only interested everyone else's best interest. How selfish. /s
The people, united, will never be defeated.
Going to take a break

“To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.” -Voltaire
Oh brother.
I haven't looked. I would guess that they know Bernie is going to win and they don't want to have to make a headline to that effect, so they are just skipping it. What a sad sad place.
Sad but true
they usually manage a terse one line diary but not even that this evening. Primary - what primary?
“To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.” -Voltaire
not a legitimate primary
only Hills wins are real primaries, like Michigan and Florida in 2008 when the DNC said they wouldn't count and she was the only one who didn't withdraw her name....yet then went on to claim those were valid votes and therefore she had a higher popular vote than Obama....Believe it or Not!
The revisionism
from 2008 is surreal. Also love the way that the Hill people neglect to mention that California was on Super Tuesday then. Michigan and Florida were a complete embarrassment. The lack of integrity is mind boggling.

Donnie The #ShitHole Douchebag. Fake Friend to the Working Class. Real Asshole.
Okay, I hate thinking like this.
There's 10% of the vote unaccounted for. All night long across the board. 10% is a vote for neither.
So 10% of the voters came out ONLY to vote on down ballot measures?
I get this suspicious feeling like someone is taking a 10% slice out of something hoping no one notices.
I'm not one prone to conspiracy theories, but I am good at math and probability.
The people, united, will never be defeated.
there's apparently another name on the ballot
on the reddit site someone mentioned a guy who's actually in prison that is running = 10%
Yeah, in Maryland, there was someone named
Roddy Rodriguez on the Presidential ballot.... so I guess maybe 10% are voting for a random third person. Still seems high.
Hell, I'd be tempted
to vote for a guy who's in prison.
Life is strong. I'm weak, but Life is strong.
That does seem high for a neither vote
a few percentage points seems more believable. But maybe there are WV Dems who support Trump so don't want to vote for either??
i was wondering about that
i didn't understand how the vote totals for Sanders and Clinton only totaled 89%.
**edit**
this post is in the wrong place. i still seem to be hitting the wrong reply button on occasion when i'm doing this. criminy!
16.6%
reporting and split is 9 points! Go Birdie
Don't believe everything you think.
Maybe I missed it
For whom is the other 10% of the vote going?
supposedly a guy in prison is on the ballot
Here's my guess.
Either 10% of the voters came out to ONLY vote on down ballot measures, or someone is nullifying 10% off of one of the candidates votes.
The way WV delegates are distributed takes into account votes that receive less than 15% of the total (in this case 'none of the above' has 10% of the vote). In this case those 10% are split proportionally among the remaining candidates (i.e., the ones that got more the 15%).
I applaud those 10% who don't really care about the Democratic Presidential Nominee (because after all...it's been over since March) but still came out to vote on the down ballots. That is what a responsible voter is.
On the other hand, I flick boogers at the people who would erase votes from one candidate in order for the losing candidate to be able to transfer delegates won by the other candidate to themselves.
After all, it's not that Bernie wins. It's by how much. That missing 10% has me suspicious as well. It wasn't there in the other primaries.
The people, united, will never be defeated.
Okay, if there is a 3rd party
that could explain the 10%.
Still, according to WV Delegate distribution that 10% goes proportionally to the candidates who got more. No hooliganism.
The people, united, will never be defeated.
Oh, that's good news WaveyDavey

"Hillary Clinton leads in Democratic Primary Race after WV"
I'm practicing my MSM headlines for tomorrow. What do you think?
Or "WV Sanders win won't effect Primary Outcomes"
Or "Sander wins WV but Clinton will win nomination"
I'm certain they won't say Bernie has a big win. So how will they spin it to make it sounds best for Hills?
Local news,
before the votes, said something like "Sanders is expected to win tonight, but Clinton will still have a massive lead in delegates." I swear.
I assume that's how they will report it on the later news after the votes as well. Probably will show a chart with the delegate count and of course including the superdelegates.
i saw a chart on MSNBC
it made it look like Clinton was only about 100 delegates from reaching the 2383 needed to win the nomination. i only turned it on briefly to see what the WV returns were and it promptly pissed me off enough to turn off the channel.
