I read (and tipped and recced) your "Just vote Blue" Diary in which you quite successfully and succinctly debunked the "Just Vote Blue No Matter Who" putrefied bovine excreta we see so much of nowadays.

I have two requests, both of which relate to the blogsite at http://www.caucus99percent.com. The first: If you are already a member there, please publish this Diary over there immediately! The second: If you are not a member, please go there at once and sign up!

AH SHIT DAMMITT!!

Ok, I went over there and read the diary and tipped and reccd. Now I feel dirty. And my fucking blood pressure is out the roof! I read the first comment after the tip jar and my head exploded. The asshole dismissed the diary and said something like "do you know how many unions have endorsed Hilary?" Well fuck me sideways. Instead of debating what Sean wrote they pull shit like this. What the hell do you call it..deflection???
I'm an old Union guy. Retired but still elected to my council. The reason so many Unions came out and supported clinton early is 1. they're run by a bunch of assholes and most if not all DIDN'T TAKE THE ENDORSEMENT TO THEIR RANK AND FILE FOR THEM TO VOTE ON IT! 2. they think she'll throw them some crumbs. 3. They're not old enough to remember how bad Billy fucked us in the 90s!

I'm pleased that Mr. Scribe

is a member (retiree member now) of a union (ATU) that proudly endorsed Bernie Sanders.

Of course, they did it after asking the membership for their input.

Seems to be a pattern -- if a group or union asks for their members to weigh in, invariably they go for Sanders, while if the decision is made solely by some sort of governing board they go for Clinton. People power vs. establishment, yet again.

Still good for larfs

Shanikka, someone whose opinion I respect even when I don't agree, was warning Democrats not to be complacent, using a video of Van Jones speaking on how the massive EC victory scenario (as typified by a diary on the rec list) was not the way to look at the race, citing Trump's history of exceeding expectations and other factors. I threw in a few of my own, including my reading of Pennsylvania and Florida, two states I know well...only to be told that President Obama and the Clintons know what they're doing (in spite of massive loses for their party since 2008) and that so many people hate Trump that he'll lose (which is why he's winning and also drawing interest from independents).

I briefly imagined bothering with a response, or a comical pic of children whistling past the graveyard, but at this point, who cares.

A knowing chuckle and off for a cup of tea are more than enough. Hope that diarist makes his way into the sunshine.

I think it's partially loyalty to Kos

(they go back a ways) and also concern that if he leaves, no one will be there for things like Green Diary Rescue and such. Plus there's his involvement with Native American Netroots and the NDN community at DK. He's basically keeping his opinions to himself at the present time.

I appreciate MB's posts on climate change, science, etc.

These things desperately need attention and we need to invest in wind, solar, renewable energy, upgrading and/or rebuilding our energy infrastructure, and the like. [Bonus: Jobs, jobs, jobs!]

Without getting some kind of control or drastic slowing of climate change as the #1 important thing to attend to, all the things that have been ignored for 15-20 years and need attention in the #1-A category are pointless since we'll all die off when we go extinct with the other life forms we are killing with our pollution.

MB knows this and has been writing posts about climate change and alternate energy for, I think, all the years I was on TOP. I still Rec BNR, C&J, PWB, posts, as well as MB's well-written posts when I'm up to catch them.

That diary is truly spot-on, but I can't take off my TOP Cloak of Invisibility in order to rec it. Meanwhile, here's a comment he posted there in early April:

The Turd Wayers want us, the Occupiers, the New Dealers, the Great Society advocates, to completely cease to exist, or at least to shut the fuck up. They want to present to the world a united Democratic Party, with Bernie Sanders and his nasty, inconvenient campaign completely forgotten.

If he gets all the Bernie supporters to leave (willingly or Bojo'd), then the next time he runs a straw poll his candidate will win. Late last year and earlier this year (before the Ides of March) Bernie was winning all the straw polls by YUUUGE numbers. Then he can point to his straw poll and say "See? Hillary is ahead!" That, of course, ignores all the times Bernie won.

Hillary diaries they declare them safe zones? They say if you want to comment in them then play nice. But they feel free to go into any Bernie diary and shit all over it.
I do stay out of the Hillary diaries because I can't stand to read the comments from people I respected and can't understand how they can be so delusional and not see the damage that she will bring to the US people and the innocent civilians around the world.
Right now the US and NATO are surrounding Russia because of their aggression according to Obama and Kerry.
Funny I haven't seen Russia invading country after country in the Middle East or seen them put troops in Mexico or Canada.

He is reinforcing the concept that Hillary is a weak candidate who needs special rules to protect her.
