To those who still have diplomatic relations with TOP: Two Requests.
I have two requests for all of us who still have diplomatic relations over at That Other Place.
To wit: First, please tip and rec this Diary: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/4/30/1516517/--Just-vote-Blue-is-dest... . The Diary is on the Wrecked List and deserves to stay there for as long as possible. Then, once you've done that good deed, follow up by leaving the Diarist, Sean R Shealy, a private message similar to this one I sent him:
Hello, Sean!
I read (and tipped and recced) your "Just vote Blue" Diary in which you quite successfully and succinctly debunked the "Just Vote Blue No Matter Who" putrefied bovine excreta we see so much of nowadays.
I have two requests, both of which relate to the blogsite at http://www.caucus99percent.com. The first: If you are already a member there, please publish this Diary over there immediately! The second: If you are not a member, please go there at once and sign up!
This is a Diary, and a Diarist, which we need to be playing over here on c99p, IMHO. If you have a strong (and none too recently filled) stomach, read the Comment thread off the above-cited Diary. The Diary and the Diarist deserve better -- and our c99p community easily supplies that "better", every day!
Thank You!
UPDATE: 2:58 PM MDT 4/30/2016: It seems that within seconds of my posting my private message, the Diarist was put on TO, and can't see his kosmail any more! So the Diary may well soon disappear as well. Damn!

Real rec!
“If there is no justice for the people, may there be no peace for the government.”
I rec'd it earlier
It was a very well constructed diary, but I will not be surprised if he is TO'd or banned for it.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~ President John F. Kennedy
He has been placed in TO for that diary
My God, the lack of critical thinking over there is unbelievable. Talk about shutting down any and all opposition. Pathetic.
I am not sure I can even go over there to rec BNR any more. I check with myself in the morning.

Wow, 290 Recs and TO'd for it
Not signing in or visiting regularly at present, but went over for a quick look.
Sorry state of things.
Euterpe2
Not TO'ed now.
He's bojo'ed.
And the diary tops the rec list.
Funny dissonance about that place.
Now I have to shower.
I didn't believe you and went and looked for myself, because
I saw the TO earlier. How can they change a TO to a bojo? That's not fair when he can't be there to defend himself. Plus the diary wasn't all that bad. Plus the guy's semi famous. Oy. That place.
Please check out Pet Vet Help, consider joining us to help pets, and follow me @ElenaCarlena on Twitter! Thank you.
Update! I just went and looked, and his diary is second on the
Rec List with 355 recs! I love it when they ban things that are popular. Makes them look SO foolish.

I just can't bring myself
to click on that shithole site anymore. Here's a link to Sean's Facebook page. I'm going to send him a message through it. I'd really like to read the diary.
Here's a quote from his Facebook page
I like this guy
Multo, multo grazie, fugwb!
I'm not a Facebook user, so your kind and noble service is doubly appreciated! Thank you!

I will not have relations with that site.
Soul destroying. I can only imagine the comments section.
But I will tip the jar above.

Okay, took aspirin....

AH SHIT DAMMITT!!
Ok, I went over there and read the diary and tipped and reccd. Now I feel dirty. And my fucking blood pressure is out the roof! I read the first comment after the tip jar and my head exploded. The asshole dismissed the diary and said something like "do you know how many unions have endorsed Hilary?" Well fuck me sideways. Instead of debating what Sean wrote they pull shit like this. What the hell do you call it..deflection???
I'm an old Union guy. Retired but still elected to my council. The reason so many Unions came out and supported clinton early is 1. they're run by a bunch of assholes and most if not all DIDN'T TAKE THE ENDORSEMENT TO THEIR RANK AND FILE FOR THEM TO VOTE ON IT! 2. they think she'll throw them some crumbs. 3. They're not old enough to remember how bad Billy fucked us in the 90s!
I told my UAW leadership last week that we shouldn't endorse clinton even if she wins the primary. It's too late. Now she'll just grab our money. Sorry for the rant...
I got that far as well.
I feel your pain (thanks Bill)
Carefully went across, recced and tipped, but did not look at comments.
Mental health requirements, etc.
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
No need to apologize, fugwb!
No need to apologize, fugwb! If I were a long-time union man and found out that my union had endorsed Hellery without consulting the rank-and-file, I'd be pretty pissed off too!!
"US govt/military = bad. Russian govt/military = bad. Any politician wanting power = bad. Anyone wielding power = bad." --Shahryar
"All power corrupts absolutely!" -- thanatokephaloides
I'm pleased that Mr. Scribe
is a member (retiree member now) of a union (ATU) that proudly endorsed Bernie Sanders.
Of course, they did it after asking the membership for their input.
Seems to be a pattern -- if a group or union asks for their members to weigh in, invariably they go for Sanders, while if the decision is made solely by some sort of governing board they go for Clinton. People power vs. establishment, yet again.
Didn't I read an article several months ago...
... I think right after the DNC Summer Meeting, that said one of the famous union's leadership endorsed Hillary, but the rank and file adamantly refuse to endorse or vote for Hillary...?
[Oh, hell. I can see the guy's face in my mind's eye but I just can't recall his name this second.]
I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute ..., where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference. — President John F. Kennedy, Houston, TX, 12 September 1960
I gave it a rec, which
will likely get me some sort of warning.
I only go for BNR. I try to support TomP and subir, but there is just so little of interest to read, and so much suppression of opinion, there is no point is participating there. OPOL is here.
Interestingly, a couple of weeks ago, Jamess wrote a diary about Hillary's paid shills, and my comment was something to the effect of "once this diary would have topped the rec list". One of the 4 people who liked my comment was Scott Wooledge. I was floored.
"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." ---- William Casey, CIA Director, 1981
Scott's been keeping a very low profile
on TOP, if he even still writes there, but he's been very pro-Bernie on Twitter.
If I recall
correctly, Scott was kinda neutral/on the fence until HRC's proclamation that Nancy Reagan single handedly broke the silence about AIDS/HIV crisis. He leaped right over the fence that day.
This
is why I remain at the shithole.
MeteorBlades, OPOL (when I can't get on here), and a few of the other authors who haven't migrated here yet.
Thanks for the link.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
I have a few to add....
Besame, Mopshell, the Daily Bucket crew, Backyard Science. If I have it right, FishOoW is here and other weather, and science writers, but there are some very good writers who post incredibly good essays on science.

If you can donate, please! POP Money is available for bank-to-bank transfers. Email JtC to make a monthly donation.
I rec'ed it, commented downthread
and messaged him. He got a TO, from that no doubt.
There are still valiant warrior over there. I rec'ed some of them as well. Some new handles, so identities are murky, but what the heck. The anti-comments could be compiled for a lesson in groupthink. Or, Propaganda Results 101.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
I would rec people's comments there
If my ability to do so hadn't been stripped away for flagging a diary that was nothing but a hit piece full of slanderous lies about Sanders and his supporters. You know, something that was allegedly not allowed against either candidate (and supporters) under the new dictatorship rules Bigugly put into effect. Consistency is great, eh?
I managed to tip and rec.
It won't stay loaded long enough on my iPad to let me leave a comment or click on his name. I'm trying on my phone. It's still loading. This diary needs to go viral it needs to be on FB, Twitter, Reddit, everywhere. Let's all help post a link.
"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11
He is in TO now, RA!
But the diary is still near the top of the rec list. LOL
I rec'd it earlier today. I fully expect to receive some sort of warning for doing so.

I finally commented, gg,

Good thought! I went back and FBed it, it's on that list

Thanks for doing that, riverlover.
The henchmen will be appearing at my door any second, for my comment, but that diary is worth the punishment.

Still good for larfs
Shanikka, someone whose opinion I respect even when I don't agree, was warning Democrats not to be complacent, using a video of Van Jones speaking on how the massive EC victory scenario (as typified by a diary on the rec list) was not the way to look at the race, citing Trump's history of exceeding expectations and other factors. I threw in a few of my own, including my reading of Pennsylvania and Florida, two states I know well...only to be told that President Obama and the Clintons know what they're doing (in spite of massive loses for their party since 2008) and that so many people hate Trump that he'll lose (which is why he's winning and also drawing interest from independents).
I briefly imagined bothering with a response, or a comical pic of children whistling past the graveyard, but at this point, who cares.
A knowing chuckle and off for a cup of tea are more than enough. Hope that diarist makes his way into the sunshine.

MB did have his OT for Night Owls a few nights ago
that was an elliptical criticism of which side I could not parse. He is walking Occam's razor, I think.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
MB has chosen silence at a time that matters
too bad. I thought better of him.
Sea Turtle
Sadly, so true, SeaTurtle
Someone with his history of fiercely fighting for choice, alone, makes me wonder how the hell he can stick around a place like Killary Central. It's so disappointing, and shocking. Of all people, I never thought he'd stand for, and by staying silent, endorse what the little crooked fit thrower is doing.
Look, the guy has to eat.
I believe he is paid at Kos. At his age, he can't just be up and quitting a good job.
It's unfortunate that he has to tow the line at GOS, but please cut him some slack.
dfarrah
I don't know MB
but it certainly sounds like he's spent a lifetime fighting the good fight.
Whatever reason he has for hanging around over there is good enough for me.
"The real power is in the hands of small groups of people and I don't think they have titles. -- Bob Dylan"
I think it's partially loyalty to Kos
(they go back a ways) and also concern that if he leaves, no one will be there for things like Green Diary Rescue and such. Plus there's his involvement with Native American Netroots and the NDN community at DK. He's basically keeping his opinions to himself at the present time.
I appreciate MB's posts on climate change, science, etc.
These things desperately need attention and we need to invest in wind, solar, renewable energy, upgrading and/or rebuilding our energy infrastructure, and the like. [Bonus: Jobs, jobs, jobs!]
Without getting some kind of control or drastic slowing of climate change as the #1 important thing to attend to, all the things that have been ignored for 15-20 years and need attention in the #1-A category are pointless since we'll all die off when we go extinct with the other life forms we are killing with our pollution.
MB knows this and has been writing posts about climate change and alternate energy for, I think, all the years I was on TOP. I still Rec BNR, C&J, PWB, posts, as well as MB's well-written posts when I'm up to catch them.

And here's the disconnect from Hillary's supporters
It's like the comments that I keep reading that state Obama has ended two wars and hasn't started any new ones.
Um, hasn't the US been at war during Obama's two terms? I'm pretty sure it has. Well, except for the time he pulled most of the troops out of Iraq but he's sending them in again. Over the objections of the Iraqi government.

Amazing, isn't it?
It's like they hadn't been paying attention to what Hillary did during here time as SOS.
Suddenly everything that was wrong when Bush did them and we bitched for the democrats to stop him became okay once Obama was elected.
And now citizens United is a great thing to have happened because it means that Hillary can take as much money as she needs. But only because she HAS To BEAT THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE!

It's too bad that there wasn't someone else who could have ran on the principles that the Democratic Party used to stand for.

They can't see the sky for the pollution
The heavy particulates polluting our air make the sunsets very pretty colors, so they probably think that's normal, but it's technically abnormal, and potentially deadly if we don't stop polluting the air we breathe, land we use, water we drink.

They want us to cease to exist.
The Turd Wayers want us, the Occupiers, the New Dealers, the Great Society advocates, to completely cease to exist, or at least to shut the fuck up. They want to present to the world a united Democratic Party, with Bernie Sanders and his nasty, inconvenient campaign completely forgotten.
It's not going to happen. We and our Revolution aren't going away, whether kos likes it or not. He well may have expelled us from his blogsite, but it is proving to be to the cost of them both. kos will discover that the kind of people who tend to be Turd Way will, eventually, go back to the GOP whence they originally came. And, meanwhile, his blogsite, which used to be the most influential such with respect to Democrats, has become an anachronistic irrelevance.

Why would Bernie put the revolution in jeopardy like that
Regardless Jill Stein will be President if Bernie is not.
Beware the bullshit factories.
I sense a method to his madness
If he gets all the Bernie supporters to leave (willingly or Bojo'd), then the next time he runs a straw poll his candidate will win. Late last year and earlier this year (before the Ides of March) Bernie was winning all the straw polls by YUUUGE numbers. Then he can point to his straw poll and say "See? Hillary is ahead!" That, of course, ignores all the times Bernie won.
I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute ..., where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference. — President John F. Kennedy, Houston, TX, 12 September 1960

Just like those sham elections in dictatorships where the tyrant keeps winning by 100%.

And later in time (not sure by how many minutes) Lyssi or one of teh others pipes up with "this is a real fly-catcher diary!", words to the effect responded to by the Owner who came back with this gem:

Hillary Clinton 2016: I'm a proud progmoderate!
They might as well run their own fake anti-Clinton pieces
And kick off everyone who supports them. Markos has long supported snitchery and gang-bullying; entrapment shouldn't be seen as that big a problem.
Stay on track. Stay in lane. Don't throw rocks.
Anyone else notice that when they write the pro
Hillary diaries they declare them safe zones? They say if you want to comment in them then play nice. But they feel free to go into any Bernie diary and shit all over it.
I do stay out of the Hillary diaries because I can't stand to read the comments from people I respected and can't understand how they can be so delusional and not see the damage that she will bring to the US people and the innocent civilians around the world.
Right now the US and NATO are surrounding Russia because of their aggression according to Obama and Kerry.
Funny I haven't seen Russia invading country after country in the Middle East or seen them put troops in Mexico or Canada.
Good old American exceptionalism.

The amount of deflection OT
becomes "Look! Squirrel!". No answers to challenge, just slide to a new subject. Moulitsas could scam a thesis just by copy/paste as an example in promoting group-think.
Many of us have seen that coalescence and run in horror. We must stay open to alternative ideas here or we will devolve like that.

I left comment invitations to here several times. They seemed to pass under the radar since I started the comment with a thank for your diary.
