On Becoming Israel

Open Thread Image.jpg

Looks like the bill to integrate the US military and the IDF will pass. Pro-Israel voices win out, kill bill to stop US-Israel military integration, with statements (lies) like Israel is the only democracy in the region. Let's face it folks, the Zionists own our government. They are even considering giving IDF soldiers full US veteran benefits. I guess we plan to become genocidal maniacs ourselves. We're well on the way. Human life doesn't mean much to the US military. We're still blowing up fishing boats claiming they are running drugs. "Besides being clearly illegal under both US and international law, the bombing campaign has also failed at stemming the flow of drugs to the US, according to a recent report from The New York Times." The US used to pretend to adhere to international law, but now we don't even offer a pretense, like Israel we are a law unto ourselves.

Screenshot 2026-06-06 at 08-55-57 The US becomes like Israel at DuckDuckGo_0.png

MAGA somehow morphed into Israel First. Any politician who does put Israel first is targeted. Recently, Massie is a case in point, but Dems, Cory Bush and J.Bowman were also targeted in the last couple of years. That's just one of the ways Israel owns our government. "Capitol Hill is lsraeli-occupied territory" said Pat Buchanan in 1990.
Like Israel, the US is agreement incapable. As Trump said this week, "A ceasefire in that region just means fire less" or something to that effect.

Does Trump control Bibi, or does Bibi control Trump?
Trump and Netanyahu: The odd couple
“He’ll do whatever I want him to do,” Donald Trump declared recently about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu....
If there is one lesson since the election of Trump, it is that Netanyahu, not Trump, has consistently dictated the pace of America’s wars in the Middle East. Trump may occupy the White House, issue ultimatums, and proclaim himself the master negotiator, but the facts on the ground tell a different story. Again and again, Netanyahu acts, and Trump adjusts.

Col Douglas Macgregor: The Israel First White House

Joe Kent's recent article:
US-Israel integration is far from 'America First'
We cannot outsource components of our national security to nations that do not share our interests and that is exactly what this proposed scheme would do.
...Section 224, cleverly buried deep in the massive National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which is entitled “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” This initiative transitions the traditional aid relationship into a deeper partnership between the U.S. and Israel in many aspects of technological research and development and defense production, and would also give Israel unprecedented access to U.S. technology development and "data fusion."
...We are a sovereign nation. We cannot outsource components of our national security to nations that do not share our interests; they will put their own interests first every time. No other government prioritizes the needs of a different country before its own, because that would be foolish.

Fusing the US Military and the IDF
A bill’s provision to integrate the U.S. and Israeli militaries will go to a U.S. House vote after an effort to stop it failed Thursday. Passage will make it nearly impossible to end the U.S.-Israel special relationship, writes Alan MacLeod.
In essence, then, it would dramatically change the relationship between the two states, from one where Washington supplies Tel Aviv with money, weapons, and diplomatic support, to a situation where the two are fundamentally intertwined.
It would also make the relationship far less transparent, as aid to Israel currently requires an annual public debate and vote. However, by moving it away from the political realm into that of defense acquisition, oversight and accountability mechanisms will be removed, and the public will have little right to know the details going forward.

Israel Asks For A Guaranteed Share Of U.S. Weapon Purchases
The colonial expansion of Israel is openly subsidized by the U.S. with currently $3.5 billion per year. Most of that money is bound to Israel’s purchase of U.S. made weapons. The stipend is controlled by Congress and must pass the yearly budget review.
The Israeli government is trying to change the stipend into a more lucrative racket.
It has suggested to replace the yearly subsidy by a ‘deeper military cooperation’ which is code for the guaranteed U.S. purchases of Israeli made weapons and continuous profits for Israel’s weapon manufacturers. To institute the new scheme Congress will pass a law that will integrate Israel’s military-industrial complex into U.S. procurement and production lines.
Following that there will be no more yearly reviews

Economic Reality Will Force Trump To Defy The Lobby’s Pressure

Screenshot 2026-06-07 at 06-12-23 inventory.jpg (JPEG Image 616 × 612 pixels).png

The Zionist lobby is vehemently against any peace deal with Iran. Israel will do its best to sabotage any resolution of the matter by continuing its war in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank. It wants the war on Iran to continue until that country is destroyed as a viable competitor.
So far the Zionists hold the upper hand. They can and do defy Trump at every corner. The Lobby has the upper hand. He does not yet dare to take it down.
Existing oil inventories, commercial ones as well as state owned strategic reserves, were used as a buffer to paper over the lack of some 15% of crude oil in the global markets. Gas prices at the pump have risen, but only moderately.
From now on the situation can only, and will, get worse.
During June and July Prices will rise further. Distribution problems will lead to temporary closure of this or that gas station. Selected oil derived products will become rare.
By August western governments will start to introduce rationing measures. Smaller refineries will shut down. Political pressure will increase to a point where it can no longer be ignored. The voices of the (non-oil) industry, financial circles, and the public will become louder than the Lobby’s.
This is driving a global depression, and if the conflict continues through the summer the effects will be felt around the world.

That's plenty of perspectives on the war with Iran and a good bit of discussion of Israel's continued attacks on Lebanon. We're in a tit for tat exchange of attacks between the US and Iran that looks likely to escalate. But there's another war brewing that may prove more consequential...

Konstantinovka Is Falling, West's Ukraine Narrative Is Crumbling

(28 min) The western narrative that Ukraine is winning on the battlefield is visibly falling apart, and Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris on The Duran break down exactly why: Ukraine's drone offensive deep into Russia is producing less damage than last year, Konstantinovka is on the verge of falling and opening the road to the Slavyansk and Kramatorsk cauldron the channel first predicted in 2022, and the CIA is now moving to place Budanov in command not to win the conventional conflict but to prepare for a long insurgency once the front line collapses. Add Zelensky demanding a Patriot missile manufacturing license that will never produce a single interceptor but will generate billions in contracts, and the question becomes: how much longer can the gap between the official story and the reality on the ground be maintained?

Putin held on of his marathon press conferences at the Economic Forum answering questions from global journalists. He also presented a 2+ hour speech at the plenary session of the Forum.
During the interactive session at the International Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin addressed geopolitical issues being faced across the world, including the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict and Russia's war with Ukraine. Putin repeated his earlier offer to play mediator between Israel and Iran, while also revealing that he spoke to leaders from the US, Israel and Iran. The Russian President also issued a warning to Israel as it seeks to destroy Iran's nuclear program, revealing Moscow's stake in the entire ordeal. On Ukraine, Putin spoke about Russia's territorial claims as well as peace negotiations that have, so far, not yielded any major outcomes.

Putin Reveals Oreshnik Plan. West Desperate to Get Conflict Freeze

The Duran examines Zelensky's open letter as a coordinated Western operation timed to the forum, the reality behind the House Ukraine aid bills, the fading influence of Russia's business oligarchs, and why the Oreshnik is being quietly perfected for strikes on Kiev command centers. So, my friends, we are living in volatile times. We've talked for years about the power of the lobby, and now we face the lobby becoming the government. Think things are bad now? Just wait. We are addicted to war...it is the US business model. Any country who won't submit (think Venezuela and Cuba) will be targeted just like any US politicians who challenge the lobby. The funny thing about it, by designing the military as a profit generator, our weapons are ineffective and dysfunctional. They are designed to break down and require maintenance. A new warfare has evolved involving unjamable fiber optic drones, under sea drones, hypersonic missiles, and underground bases. We've not adapted, and we're going to face consequences sooner or later. Do any of you see an escape route? Looks like checkmate to me with Israel winning control of the US system.

Sorry I don't have a more cheerful summary. Perhaps we can ride out the decline with less negative effects than most simply by being aware. Have a good Sunday. I look forward to your stories and insights below. The thread is open...

...is much more overwhelming than Corruption based extortion (the Maxwell-Epstein set-up). In some national governments, cash-based corruption is immediately normalized and incorporated into the system. The US is a good example, with elections funded "privately", the privatization and degradation of government services and obligations, a flurry of grants, family foundations, and elaborate money laundering schemes and phantom corporations, government contracts, travel junkets, waivers, donations, gifts, pardons, appointments, sex, slavery, and insider trading. This is where we are now.

After Reagan, the US, cash-based corruption spread fast and deep — it rapidly became endemic and institutionalized. Such governments cannot be reformed. If you challenge them, the corruption becomes even more deeply embedded. The government can only be stopped — it must be denounced, disabled, and dispersed. Then, the People must begin again from scratch, with a rational and modern constitution that protects the People's human and civil rights. The People must then decide: What is the purpose of this nation? How do the People remain in charge? What is the quality of life for the least wealthy citizen?

I don't think the People in the US are ready for that reality, do you? They will probably have to ride this civilization all the way to the bottom. Some People will think they are pushing for government Reform, or making room for a third political party that will bring stability and choice. I predict that by the time USians stop denying the collapse of the US system, states will begin to join forces, and realign their loyalties and dependencies, and sever certain ties with the Federal government. The US is going to need a lot more prisons and prison guards. Everyone is armed and dangerous. I really wanted better for the younger generations.

of finding a way out of this. The music for Americas 250th should be a requiem. Every parade a dirge. Both the US and Israel have been riding on their respective myths, teaching them in school and now revealing the hollowness of our beliefs. We're just a colony of Israel. No wonder our young are turning their backs on this sham.

About time, somehow kids can spot a sellout before most. Sadly, our government has very efficiently devised means to stop them from doing anything about it. We need a hero, a leader, but it's been so long we don't even know what that is. They all seem to have been bought off or derailed.

Of course with AI and the governments surveillance network it should be easy to spot the rascally rebels before they cause any trouble. Thanks for the OT.

Ironically, I think an economic collapse is our hope. The system, as is, will be difficult to change, but if it goes broke we might stand a chance of reformation. I continue to think we could transition to more direct democracy. If atm's can keep track of everyone's accounts, certainly direct voting machines are a possibility (perhaps via the internet). I'm certain if the people of the country had a voice, they wouldn't approve the Israeli take over.

@Lookout maybe economic, but under Obama we came close, and the ones that caused the collapse were bailed out, and nobody went to prison. We 99% paid the price. I fear an economic collapse would run the same course. Our government seems divided, teeth bared ready to fight. Thing is our elected reps are more like each other in status and wealth than different. Becoming wealthier and more connected each election their lives mirror each other, leaving us behind. We're the merry go round, they're the riders going for the brass ring.

all levels of government keeps getting stronger and stronger, and income and wealth disparity keeps increasing more and more and faster and faster. Absent some sort of bloodbath I'm far from confident that any sort of remedy can be achieved. I'm not at all convinced that direct democracy can be made to function here either. Access to polling places and security of same. Time off work issues. Job and income security issues. The internet? Who is your internet provider? Are they a for profit corporation? Are all of their employees trustworthy? There is a whole pile of potential problems to be thought out and addressed and a mountain of money available to corrupt ANY And every process. from Twitter, or whatever it is called this week:

Murray Rothbard (@MurraySuggests):

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.

The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.

Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.

If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Seems pretty accurate. We are governed by morons.

However, in the past he’s seemed to me more sensible than extreme Oregon Democrats on a few matters. Some that come to mind are woke issues, state legislation taking away parental control, attacks on unvaxxed, and recent multibillion-dollar tax hike proposed by our governor. In the segment where he takes listeners’ calls, he always says “naysayers go to the head of the line.” There’s always someone brave or foolish enough to call in and argue with him. I sent him an email a few years ago which he immediately replied to, will see how he answers this.

Except of course that Nato isn't fighting Russia.

Russia is making advances in a rearward direction for the last 3 months. For now Ukraine is making no effort to advance at all, I think they are only occupying abandoned areas of the front lines.

Ukraine unfortunately is using attrition of Russian infantry as one method of winning the war, and they kill over a thousand a day, over 35,000 a month, a level that isn't able to be replaced and also a tragedy on a purely human level. Every life has worth.

Konstantinovka is the current location of the meat grinder. Ukraine holds the high ground and is well supplied. Russia advances but at the rate they are going it will take years to take the city. Thousands of dead. Over 90% of Russian casualties are from first person drones.

Every single night more oil facilities are hit. Last night it was large storage tanks in Crimea. Two days ago more in St Petersburg. Russia is flying anti air resources to St Petersburg. In the videos of the drones there is a noticeable silence, no one is shooting at the drones that few hundreds of miles across Russia unmolested.

I see that your query to google added phraseology not in your original post, concerning specialists etc which could possibly be true in the sense that said specialists no doubt read and/or review many sources, including that one. Israel says they intercepted all of the missiles.

I've got a canyon to sell you in NE AL too.

Seven days? Marandi said plan on a conflict till at least the midterms. If that is the case then it is global depression. We'll see.

On another note we're getting rain. 1.5" so far to day, and my gauge is under trees. Bodes well for getting out of drought.

Take care my friends!

@Lookout headlines saying the SoH is closed, and that Tel Aviv is on fire. (Not from missiles, of course...just some kitchen fire or laundry room fire.../s)
Since the forecast of afternoon rain didn't happen, JtC got about 8 acres mowed. We go up to the low 90s at least for the next week, and it likely lower temps are over for the summer. Our drought is no longer a threat. This has been one of the rainiest springs and early summers I can remember.

..from year to year, and season to season. Normally our rainy season is spring, but it is late spring early summer this year. The changes are part of the fun. It will be what it will be.

I enjoy the seasonality of our weather. It is a fact of life.

Wishing you the best!

with many non-US participants that can be a surprisingly useful information source at times like these. There are some reports from locals about the current activity, and it is less jammed with spin and propaganda than many other supposedly-“independent“ sources.

The name of it is rather regrettable, unfortunately, but that may have helped it avoid some if the bot infestations that plague other sources. Anyway, if you’re bored, feel free to check out r/anime-titties…

Question to Google AI ...do most english speaking specialists studying the war in ukraine read the Institute for the study of war

Reply

Yes, virtually all English-speaking specialists studying the war in Ukraine read the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). While it is a staple of their daily content diet, professional analysts rarely rely on it as their sole information source, treating it as an aggregate baseline rather than definitive truth.

Specialists interact with ISW's reports in specific ways, categorizing its usefulness alongside several critiques.

Why Specialists Read It

The Definitive Daily Chronology: ISW excels at open-source intelligence aggregation, tracking partisan movements, and standardizing map data into a single, cohesive daily briefing.

Information Space Monitoring: They are among the few institutions that systematically translate and analyze Russian military bloggers (milbloggers), providing crucial insights into the Kremlin's internal messaging friction.

Shared Reference Point: Because mainstream media, politicians, and military leaders heavily quote Institute for the Study of War reports, specialists must read it to understand what is shaping Western policy conversations.

How Specialists Critique ItAnalytical Optimism: Critics from other Western think tanks note that ISW historically has a "hawkish" or neoconservative orientation. Some argue its reporting tilts toward "war optimism," occasionally overemphasizing Russian failures and playing up Ukrainian operational successes.

Data Verification Tracing: Advanced specialists treat ISW as an index. They use it to find raw videos, geolocation coordinates, or official statements, but then perform their own independent verification.

...Coming soon...

I plan to learn this one...
Lyrics:
Two trees in the forest
One was crooked, one was straight
Crimson bark and emerald needles
Growing day by day
And though they looked so different
They enjoyed the rain the same
Side by side

A chickadee had told them
Of a darkness on the land
The spinning blades that came to visit
Carried by a man
And every other tree would see them
Cut down where they stand
By and by

Oh can’t you see
A crooked tree won’t fit into the mill machine
They’re left to grow wild and free
Oh I’d rather be a crooked tree

The perfect trees were driven
Down the mountain to the mill
They turned them into toothpicks
And twenty dollar bills
It seemed the more the people took
The more they needed still
In the end…

The crooked trees were left there
after all the work was done
Now they go for weeks
And never witness anyone
No one left to tell them if they’re
growing right or wrong
but the whispering wind...

Oh can’t you see
A crooked tree won’t fit into the mill machine
They’re left to grow wild and free
I’d rather be a crooked tree

People say I’m different
And my way of life seems strange
I took the road less traveled
Twists and turns along the way
But like the crooked tree
I’m growin stronger day by day
As the clouds roll by…

A river never wonders
Why it flows around the bend
A mountain doesn’t question
How it rose up from the land
So who am I to wish
I wasn’t just the way I am
Who am I…

Oh can’t you see
A crooked tree won’t fit into the mill machine
They’re left to grow wild and free
Oh I’d rather be a crooked tree

A crooked tree won’t fit into the mill machine
They’re left to grow wild and free
I’d rather be a crooked tree

Oh I’d rather be a crooked tree

Zionism is a social disease

The rest of the tweet:

as well as any escalation of tensions in the region.

Following the repeated ceasefire violations on April 8 and the recurrence of aggressive actions by the Zionist regime against Lebanon and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including cooperation with the terrorist US army in attacks over the past two weeks on Iranian ships and targets in southern regions of the country, as well as cooperation with the US regime in maritime piracy against the Iranian nation, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the evening of Sunday, June 7, 2026, within the framework of the inherent right of self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, struck several military targets in the northern occupied territories of Palestine.

Iran warns that any evil adventure by the Zionist regime against Lebanon or Iran will be met with a crushing and comprehensive response from Iran's brave armed forces.

...because Reuters is always suspect. But to my surprise, if I want to read KCNA in English or Korean I have to be a paid subscriber. That's new to me, but I haven't visited for a while. My question is what or to whom does "opposing authoritarianism" refer? We know hegemony is US. Conspiracy to revive militarism refers to Japan.

The Chinese really unloaded on Japan at the Shangri-La conference in reference to their militarism, and legacy of war crimes. Japanese Defense Minister Koizumi did his best to counter the Chinese litany of Japanese wrongdoing in Asia. One of his attacks was that Japan didn't kill as many people as Mao. This an ahistorical approach in my view.

Post below appears to be pictures from a demo in Busan Saturday. Essentially it's a yankee go home sort of demo. Brunson get out! Arrest Moss Tan! Block Michelle Steel! What did I miss? Oh, yes, "give up wartime OpCon." Steel was criticized for being a Yoon again type, pressuring South Korea into a military role in the "Taiwan" contingency strategy, and trying to force an unwanted alliance with Japan. She was also characterized as the US governor general of its South Korean colony. She hasn't been ratified as the new US ambassador to Seoul yet by the full Senate.

What is interesting that President Lee attended a formal joint ceremony attending the return of as yet unidentified remains of ten Korean soldiers and three American soldiers from Hawaii, which were under forensic examination there, I believe. This is an ongoing joint project. I believe these fallen soldiers were recovered in South Korea at a battle site, indicated by historical archives and interviews with witnesses from the area of the battle. Gen. Brunson gave a short presentation which was respectful and mercifully, didn't include any gaffes. So there is a substantial contrast between the scene below and Lee's "practical politics."

Thanx for posting Humphrey!

From Aljazeera

IRGC says it targeted Israel’s Nevatim and Tel Nof bases
The IRGC says it launched attacks on the Israeli air bases of Nevatim and Tel Nof a few minutes ago.

It said the strikes were in response to Israel’s attacks on several radar sites in three parts of the country.

To every country that has rolled out the red carpet for terrorists: Your turn is coming too! No land is too distant, no server is safe, and no network is out of reach. Wait and see; Perhaps right now, a shadow is already breathing inside your systems and the countdown has begun.

For some, we have only one message: You will pay for your betrayal, not just in your bases, but in the very heart of your daily economy and security.
