On the Road to Armageddon?
Armageddon, the ancient city known as Megiddo, was inhabited between roughly 7000 B.C. and 300 B.C. Numerous battles were fought near Megiddo during that time, and the Book of Revelation, which refers to the site as Armageddon, prophesied that a final battle at the end of time would take place there. A couple of updates:
Communications have been restored to southern Gaza,
Musk is offering Star Link access to the occupied territories
(which nutty yahoo has threatened to destroy),
small IDF incursions in northern Gaza are being turned back
by resistance fighters and the global reaction to the genocide
are growing daily (except in western press).
Lotlizard shared a couple links in yesterday's Album of the Week which are very informative.
Too bad UN resolutions have no teeth. It seems the Arab world will be left with the
club to hold the Zion regime accountable. US only wants an exit from the Ukraine
failure, so this is their planned distraction, IMO.

Only a few of the US pawn states are supporting Israel.

Unfortunately,
I calculate a 75% chance of the Big #3 happening sometime in the next 1-3 yrs, with the greatest risk period being in the several months leading up to the 2024 election. 75% chance too of it being triggered by a false flag event, arranged by the US, originating in one of the ME or EU countries, with the usual fingers pointing at the usual suspect, Russia.
The news out of Gaza is beyond depressing, and I can only take so much. I try to distract myself with the latest campaign news:
1) The already nearly dead Cornell West campaign, mostly a vanity project for a long time, saw the departure of the recently hired CM, Peter Daou. This is another bad look for the West so-called campaign. Someone on the Jimmy Dore Show said semi-seriously that Daou was sent into the CW campaign by the Biden camp in order to destroy it from within to take out a candidate who would be a potential vote diluter for the Ds.
2) Another dangerous weirdo has been threatening RFK Jr. A couple of days ago a man was caught by Kennedy's private security trying to break into his house in Brentwood. Police called, arrest made, bail of $10k met with a condition that the guy not go on Kennedy property again. A few hours after being released, he returned to the Kennedy property and again tried to enter, but was stopped and arrested again. The arrestee is a licensed real estate agent in the very upscale Pacific Palisades area who also had previously sent many strange and violent messages to the Kennedy campaign. The campaign for the 3d time referenced these threatening messages in their letter to the Biden admin to request SS protection for Kennedy, but once again Biden very cruelly is refusing. Speculation is that Biden wants to make RFK continue to pay large amounts daily for private security to drain his campaign account and make him less of a political threat.
3) Another non-serious candidate has announced he's running, one Cenk Uyghur (sp), despite his being clearly ineligible by the Constitution to hold this office having been born in Turkey. A podcaster speculated Cenk is trying to get attention to build back TYT's dwindling audience. That makes 3 vanity candidates by my count: Cenk, Cornel, and Marianne.
4) Gavin Newsom's trip to China and chat w Xi only adds to the speculation that he is the Ds Plan B candidate if Biden makes the decision to step aside, which looks increasingly likely given his dwindling poll #s. The latest poll shows an 11pt drop in approval by Ds. Most likely time for Joe to make the announcement is just after the primary season but before the August convention. Why would a major party stick with a guy who shows every sign of being a guaranteed loser in the fall, and knowing too that the guy at the top destined to lose will tend to take down a number of other Ds on the ballot.
Seems Biden's "rock solid support of Israel" might have
peeled off 11% of D voters. Those voters will not gift RFK Jr. with their support, since he has the same stance on Israel. They might have peeled off for a variety of reasons, but the timing of the poll suggests support for the Gazan atrocities as a reason, IMHO.
I am not happy with RFK Jr.'s anti-war, except Israel, pronouncements, but like him or not, he deserves Secret Service protection. If he is injured or killed, Biden should face charges.

Biden would
have been pressured by now into providing it but for the MSM failing to report honestly on Biden's refusal. What they did was state falsehoods about the supposed 120-day before the election requirement -- which has been sidestepped by presidents for decades -- while utterly, willfully failing to note the many instances when SS protection was given many months before that alleged deadline, such as to candidate Biden in 2020 when he asked for and received SS protection nearly 240 days, 8 months, before the Nov election.
All it took back then was to have Biden complain about a few rally protesters trying to charge the stage where he was speaking. But in RFK Jr's more serious situation of threats, a well-armed and disturbed man stopped by private security at one Kennedy event, and two recent incidents of the same man trying to break into Kennedy's house in a 24-hr period are apparently not enough, even with the Kennedy family history of threats and violence against them.
Yes, Biden would never be held accountable, but morally, ethically he does have a clear duty to act to protect. Even Jimmy Carter gave SS protection to the Kennedy he hated, Ted, and that was even before TK made his official entry into the race, a full year before the election.

Some years ago, no more than 10 years,
I ran across info on John Nelson Darby. In the 2 or 3 articles, wikipedia and other bio sites, every one of them mentioned Darby spent his elder years in a mental institution, and that he died there.
Now, there is no mention of that anywhere in any search result.
Has anybody else noticed that?
A simple search for info on The Rapture would give you numerous results, all of which mentioned Darby was mentally ill.

Good morning LO, thanks for the WW and the OT. I suspect that
the author of Revelations was simply hoping that history would repeat. The crazed but infallible war god allegedly gave Canaan to the chosen people and Abraham moved there somewhere between 2000 and 1700 BCE. Seemingly all of Canaan, home to various peoples, rose up and teamed up with some outsiders to go after Egypt and Thutmose III kicked their ass at the Battle of Meggido sometime around 1480 to 1450 BCE. Of some interest regarding the idea that this history will maybe somewhat repeat is that Thutmose III paused on the way to Meggido at some place called Gaza. OTOH, the holy seer of Revelations saw the repeat as involving Rome, not Egypt. However, he cast Rome as a monster from the sea, which could morph into a US carrier task force, so who knows. Historically, this is all somewhat confused by the tale of the chosen people's escape from captivity in Egypt, because there is not only no evidence thereof, but no evidence whatsoever that they ever were Egypt, in captivity or otherwise. Ah well. In any case, it has been said "the fire next time". This presents two semi-divergent views, hopeful and hopeless:

I hope everyone takes the time to watch the Scott Ritter interview. I had the wrong idea that Hamas was a government of sorts, whereas, it is a fervent belief in resistance. I had not thought about the IDF reservists being too unfit to carry their gear and fight in the streets without being exhausted in minutes. His idea to save the day for Bibi and Hamas is clever, offered with a keen knowledge of the area and the mind-set of both sides.

Well, tonight a cold front comes, although there will be no freeze. It is so welcome after this incredibly long, hot summer that pushed on into fall. Strange and sudden, today's high is 85, tomorrow's is 49.
The only thing I dread is the first use of the furnace. Lots of dust odors that takes an hour or so to clear out.
No shopping today. Dear One will do it tomorrow.
We will celebrate the cold front with a big pot of chili con carne for dinner tomorrow. I am cooking the pintos shortly. When facing The End, may as well go out on a full stomach. (I feel guilt that little babies in Gaza that do not get incinerated will wind up dead from starvation. What can I do to help? Nothing.)

People in litigation, civil or criminal, have no idea how their lives or family will look in the future. Very stressful. Fear of the unknown can easily drive them to violence. I can usually get Dear One to watch my back, but the young woman going to court tomorrow, who doesn't know I will be phoning in my appearance from home, has "allegedly" tried to run over a relative she was angry with, so just having him escort me across the street would have jeopardized him, too. She knows him.

I was once stuck in Panama with a fervent Republican. She dominated the tv, watching Mitt Romney election rallies, maybe the convention.
