If you want to criticize Israel, you must buy a media company

Unlike most western nations, Israelis have no trouble criticizing their government.

An overwhelming majority – 86% of respondents, including 79% of coalition supporters, said the surprise attack from Gaza is a failure of the country’s leadership, while a staggering 92% said the war is causing anxiety.

Furthermore, almost all the respondents (94%) believe the government must bear some responsibility for the lack of security preparedness that led to the assault, with over 75% saying the government holds most of the responsibility.

However, in western countries that freedom doesn't exist.
France, Germany, and Britain simply banned all pro-Palestinian protests.
While Israel has decided that the political Left in Europe is now their enemy.

In the U.S. peaceful pro-Palestinian protests will get you arrested, and accused of "insurrection".
Instagram openly censors pro-Palestinian posts. For example, photos of the Gaza hospital bombing were censored for "sexual content".

I keep hearing about the moral superiority of Israel's civilian casualties. Yet Israel's own IDF has admitted that “The emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy.”

Of course censorship for Israel has long been part of American policy via anti-BDS.
Proponents argue that boycotts of Israel is a form of discrimination because they target a particular group (Israelis) with the intent of inflicting economic harm on them.
Critics reason that if political boycotts of countries were illegal discrimination, many current and historical boycotts would also be illegal discrimination. The US sanctions against Iran would be anti-Iranian discrimination and if singling out an entity for boycott is discriminatory, most political movements using boycotts would be discriminatory. The Anti-Apartheid Movement would have had to address the suffering of people in other African countries too, to escape the charge of singling-out South Africa. Critics claim that is unreasonable.

In most cases anti-BDS laws have failed when challenged in courts.

Excuse me, because this is my first post here.

The biggest Pro-Palestinian protest has been just yesterday in Amsterdam. There was a little Pro-Israel faction, but lots.
The big news service here NPO has seemed to be quite condemning of both sides from what I have seen.
Several larger daily newspapers here have shown sympathy for Palestine as well.
So not all of Western Europe is censored.

@Roc Rizzo

there is quite a bit of sympathy for the Palestine situation
world-wide. the problem is the demonstrations are not covered
in western press to any representative extent. In the US
demonstrators are arrested. News of state crimes is censored.
It is up to us, as individuals and collectively, to determine the
truth. This will not be supported by the media.

Atheists overwhelmingly lead among those who support; this implies a strong religion-related rationale, which I would not have expected outside the Evangelical bracket (and even then, maybe only the "Rapture-Right" whose support is all for the sake of an eschatological scheme that would make comic-book supervillains scoff).

The age-groups are doing a bit of 'leap-frogging' I certainly did not expect; I'd have thought it'd be more linear.

How charming, Protestants are divided into an ethnic binary that assumes The Deep South is THE norm; I hear a lot of Oriental-Americans got roped into Protestantism thanks to the Campus Crusades of the '80s, what do they think of this?

Most bizarre of all, they did not mention asking Jews OR Muslims!
