Album of the Week - 7-30-22
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 07/30/2022 - 3:00pm
Afternoon folks!
This week I've uploaded a Roosevelt Sykes album and a whole bunch of blues-rock from some usual suspects: Savoy Brown, Rory Gallagher & Vinegar Joe. There's also some basic rock and roll from The (early) Small Faces and finally, a bluegrass masterpiece from Norman Blake, Tut Taylor, Sam Bush, Butch Robins, Vassar Clements, David Holland & Jethro Burns.
Check it out and have a great weekend!
Here 'tis:

afternoon qms...
thanks! have a good one!
Thanks Joe,
For all really, but especially I guess for the last Norman Blake and Friends. I wasn't familiar with them. I usually listen to bluegrass when times are slow. But this, hell that's running music. Good pace, good distraction, not to mention musicality. There's a...bit of talent in that group! Much appreciated.
The recent heat wave in Oregon has reminded me that I like to run in this kind of weather (followed by a cool shower). Those tunes will make the hills even more enjoyable.
afternoon peachcreek...
glad you dug the tunes! heh, just wanted to let folks know that "norman blake and friends" is not the real title, which was all of the names of the players. i truncated it (with & friends) because youtube wouldn't allow a title that long for a video.
have a good one!
great stuff Joe!
Love that Rory, he played a bunch of that album when I saw him since it was just out... Good Savoy Brown. Great early Small Faces. Neat stuff! Thanks for the sounds!
