It is amazing what one can find if you take the time to look.

It has been a while since I have tried to post so bear with me.

It is far easier to take a "positive" word and slip in negative connotations, than to take a "negative" word and turn it positive. Language is like milk. Doesn't take much to spoil it, and it never gets better.

Here's an example: Which would you rather have: a nice, thick, juicy steak; or a bloody segment of muscle tissue severed from the carcass of an immature, castrated bull?

All it takes is drawing the parallels, and letting the reader run with it. Propaganda works, and both red and blue are damned experts at it.

I never knew that the term "Never Again" only pertained to

"Antisemite used to be someone who didn't like Jews
now it's someone who Jews don't like"

Heard from Margaret Kimberley

https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/joe-biden-weed-war...

Now we get this.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Michael Collins, the director of national affairs at Drug Policy Action, agreed with this perception of Biden, referring to him as “the architect, in all ways, of the war on drugs.” “He embraced the war on drugs. He seized every opportunity he had. He really leaned into escalating it,” he said. Mason Tvert, spokesperson for the Marijuana Policy Project, characterized Biden as “one of the most aggressive drug warriors in Congress” who does not appear to have reversed or even softened his stance on marijuana, despite the majority of the Democratic candidates vocalizing their support for legalization. “He‘s very out of touch on this subject compared to other candidates,” Tvert told Rolling Stone. “Quite frankly, he seems to be a bit more out of step on this issue than President Trump,” who has said that he would sign legislation ensuring states have the right to determine whether or not to legalize marijuana.

Not sure yet who he is trying to slip through?

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/540682-marijuana-use-no-long...

The Biden administration on Friday released new guidelines that will no longer penalize political appointees for previous recreational use of marijuana.

Under the new policy, the White House can now waive a requirement for “Top Secret” clearance for possible appointees in the Executive Office of the President who have previously used pot on a "limited" basis, NBC News reported. The waiver will only be used on a case-by-case basis and can apply to positions that do not ultimately require a security clearance.

Marijuana use has not been made legal under federal law, though an increasing number of states and cities have moved to legalize the drug for both medical and recreational use. Biden transition officials recognized that the recreational weed use could potentially pose an issue for prospective appointees, according to NBC.

but you've totally forgotten that his cabinet is the most diverse collection of war-mongers and neo-cons ever assembled!

the press is already covering for him, such as: 'oh, my; did Trump leave Biden a conundrum in regard to rejoining the JCPOA!' but nothing will stick on his teflon suit far awhile, will it? because: Not Trump's bombs, not Trump's ___ (fill in the blank)

Caitlin Johnstone: US bombs Syria and ridiculously claims self defense,
26 Feb, 2021, RT.com

"Here’s this from the Washington Post:

The Biden administration conducted an airstrike against alleged Iranian-linked fighters in Syria on Thursday, signaling its intent to push back against violence believed to be sponsored by Tehran.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said the attack, the first action ordered by the Biden administration to push back against alleged Iranian-linked violence in Iraq and Syria, on a border control point in eastern Syria was “authorized in response to recent attacks against American and coalition personnel in Iraq, and to ongoing threats.”

He said the facilities were used by Iranian-linked militias including Kaitib Hezbollah and Kaitib Sayyid al-Shuhada.

The operation follows the latest serious attack on U.S. locations in Iraq that American officials have attributed to Iranian-linked groups operating in Iraq and Syria. Earlier this month, a rocket attack in northern Iraq killed a contractor working with the U.S. military and injured a U.S. service member there."

more and more often by the mainstream media lately when making assertions about foreign policy or war issues.

In your quote from the Washington Post,

The Biden administration conducted an airstrike against alleged Iranian-linked fighters in Syria on Thursday...

I think they are showing signs of knowing their claims of attribution will be challenged sooner rather than later. Alternative news sites are already pointing out the facility we struck was part of Iraq's coordination with Iran in the area.

" To call an attack with seven 500 pound bombs on a border station guarded by official Iraqi security forces against ISIS attacks hundreds of miles away from Erbil "defensive" and "in response" is of course ridiculous.

Katib Hisbullah (not related to Hizbullah in Lebanon) and KSS are under command of the Iraqi prime minister. They were founded with help from Iran in 2014 to fight against ISIS. Since 2018 they are regular Iraqi forces paid and equipped by the Iraqi government, not by Iran. This attack will escalate the situation in Iraq. More attacks against U.S. and other foreign units there are now assured..."

and this came in on the popular resistance newsletter this am:

Alan Macleod, Fairness and Accuracy In Reporting, feb. 25 (he opens a longish exposé:)

Writing in the Washington Post , pro-war columnist Josh Rogin appeared relieved that Joe Biden picked Kamala Harris as his running mate for November—as opposed to a progressive like Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders, who would have called for cutting military budgets, fewer US interventions and the withdrawal of troops stationed abroad. Biden and Harris, he explained, will together pursue a “robust” foreign policy agenda.

i'd seen it just after having read: Bernie Sanders backs Biden’s national security cabinet
, Patrick Martin, wsws.org, jan 27, 2021

"In his first presidential campaign, in 2015-2016, when asked about whether anti-terrorism policies of a Sanders administration would include the use of Special Forces and drone missiles (i.e., kidnapping and assassination), he replied, “All that and more.”

In his 2020 campaign, he hailed the US armed forces as “the best military in the world,” criticized Trump for overly friendly talks with North Korea—but not for his militaristic threats against Venezuela and Iran—and endorsed US military retaliation if China was to attack Taiwan, a response that could lead to nuclear war.

"Throughout his three-decade career in Congress, Sanders has been a reliable supporter of imperialist foreign policy, backing the US-NATO bombing of Serbia, the US invasion of Afghanistan, and the funding of US military operations all over the globe. Despite his nominal “independence,” he backed every twist and turn of the Democratic Obama administration in the Middle East and Afghanistan, called for the prosecution of whistleblower Edward Snowden, who exposed global US spying, and endorsed the CIA-backed fascist putsch in Ukraine, which installed a right-wing anti-Russian regime."

"It is worth noting the votes Sanders has cast over the past week to confirm Biden’s nominees for the key positions in the national security apparatus. On Tuesday, Sanders joined all 50 Democrats in confirming Antony Blinken as secretary of state. A majority of Republicans backed Blinken as well, giving him a 78-22 margin.

Last week, Sanders was one of the 50 Democrats who joined 43 Republicans in confirming retired General Lloyd Austin as secretary of defense. There was also a unanimous Democratic vote to confirm Avril Haines [torture apologist] as director of national intelligence, the top spy post, with only 10 Republicans in opposition.

Sanders actually staked out a position to the right of many of his Democratic colleagues in a roll call vote that preceded the confirmation of Austin. That was on a resolution to waive the legal requirement a military officer be retired for at least seven years before assuming the top civilian job in the Pentagon. Fourteen Democrats opposed the waiver, but not Sanders.

he then quotes blinken's blinkworthy (but unsurprising) statements at his first presser.

has or always was a cynical barrier to justified critiques of policy and practice under this administration.

How many 'ist' cards have been pulled out already when faced with questions they don't want to answer?? Yellin - earned her insider trading. Question? Are you an antifeminist? In recent days we've had several more cards pulled out in response to questions about policy and behaviours in agencies.

Hopefully most of us have learned our lesson and will look straight at actions and not swerve in the face of potential ID criticism.

Thank you.

my guess is that the US military Is over financed plus
trying to control the world as a singular authority.
These ambitions will rain destruction upon our heads.
Time still to stop the death machine.
