It is far easier to take a "positive" word and slip in negative connotations, than to take a "negative" word and turn it positive. Language is like milk. Doesn't take much to spoil it, and it never gets better.

Here's an example: Which would you rather have: a nice, thick, juicy steak; or a bloody segment of muscle tissue severed from the carcass of an immature, castrated bull?

All it takes is drawing the parallels, and letting the reader run with it. Propaganda works, and both red and blue are damned experts at it.

Mason Tvert, spokesperson for the Marijuana Policy Project, characterized Biden as “one of the most aggressive drug warriors in Congress” who does not appear to have reversed or even softened his stance on marijuana, despite the majority of the Democratic candidates vocalizing their support for legalization. “He‘s very out of touch on this subject compared to other candidates,” Tvert told Rolling Stone. “Quite frankly, he seems to be a bit more out of step on this issue than President Trump,” who has said that he would sign legislation ensuring states have the right to determine whether or not to legalize marijuana.

The Biden administration on Friday released new guidelines that will no longer penalize political appointees for previous recreational use of marijuana.

Under the new policy, the White House can now waive a requirement for “Top Secret” clearance for possible appointees in the Executive Office of the President who have previously used pot on a "limited" basis, NBC News reported. The waiver will only be used on a case-by-case basis and can apply to positions that do not ultimately require a security clearance.

Marijuana use has not been made legal under federal law, though an increasing number of states and cities have moved to legalize the drug for both medical and recreational use. Biden transition officials recognized that the recreational weed use could potentially pose an issue for prospective appointees, according to NBC.

I think they are showing signs of knowing their claims of attribution will be challenged sooner rather than later. Alternative news sites are already pointing out the facility we struck was part of Iraq's coordination with Iran in the area.

has or always was a cynical barrier to justified critiques of policy and practice under this administration.

How many 'ist' cards have been pulled out already when faced with questions they don't want to answer?? Yellin - earned her insider trading. Question? Are you an antifeminist? In recent days we've had several more cards pulled out in response to questions about policy and behaviours in agencies.

Hopefully most of us have learned our lesson and will look straight at actions and not swerve in the face of potential ID criticism.
