And they are so fucking stupid, Very few Dems are willing to admit how it is now apparent that Trump simultaneously outplayed them on two, disparate levels simultaneously with one tweet. The previous sentence is the product of Tim Pool, whom I have discovered to hold political values similar to my own, who once was a Berniecrat, but disappointed like me.

Level 1: Trump forces the crew surrounding Nervous Nancy to "embrace" the Squad [the whole bunch a group of hypocritical fuckers] Having done thus, El Trumpo has lassoed the House Dems into an AOC-hugging mass, called a target-rich environment for the slings and arrows of El Trumpo.
Even the Dims are waking up to this fact. Most of them are neither brave enough or strong enough to say so publicly. But a few Dem reps have so done. And some Mockingbirds are even chirping the same tune.
Oh, joy! The "stable genius", ol' Orange Man, GEOTW* El Trumpo has pushed the Dems' faces making ingest some of their own offal: they are being forced to "hug" the Squad and Amerika hates the Squad. The lowest ranked (or one of the lower-ranked members) of the quartet, Ilhan got a whopping 9% favorable views from a poll of all American sectors.
How will the Dems disentangle the Squad death grip without themselves being fatally wounded? Man, I am so excited--aren't some of you? No matter your political orientation, as long as one is open and honest to the evidence, how can one possibly defend the Democrat Partei? I mean, what really composes the Dem Partei of ID Politics? Establishment. Yes, by all means. "Far Lefty's"? No, no such thing exists. They are all new generational grifters with the same old pitch sung to a different tune.
Today's essay should be viewed with my present state in mind. Statement of Bias routinely is at the forefront of some essays. Hope must exist, lest we wither and die? Believe me I know about withering and dying as my best friend, mentor, and smartest (but not wisest) man I ever knew, withered away during the last 3 years of his life in my view both as his friend and his physician. His death happened less than a fortnight ago.

The one person who would--and has--stood up to Trump was, need I say this, Tulsi. She met him in his House, not regarding what other Damnocrats chirped. Courage. Courage under fire!

Warning: SJWs, you are about to become particularly ignited when you read the following:
The United States expects the arrival at the border between the United States and Mexico (southern border) of a substantial number of aliens primarily from Central America who appear to have no lawful basis for admission into our country. They are traveling in large, organized groups through Mexico and reportedly intend to enter the United States unlawfully or without proper documentation and to seek asylum, despite the fact that, based on past experience, a significant majority will not be eligible for or be granted that benefit. Many entered Mexico unlawfully — some with violence — and have rejected opportunities to apply for asylum and benefits in Mexico. The arrival of large numbers of aliens will contribute to the overloading of our immigration and asylum system and to the release of thousands of aliens into the interior of the United States. The continuing and threatened mass migration of aliens with no basis for admission into the United States through our southern border has precipitated a crisis and undermines the integrity of our borders. I therefore must take immediate action to protect the national interest, and to maintain the effectiveness of the asylum system for legitimate asylum seekers who demonstrate that they have fled persecution and warrant the many special benefits associated with asylum.
Skipping the intermediate prologue, here is the meat:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including sections 212(f) and 215(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) (8 U.S.C. 1182(f) and 1185(a), respectively) hereby find that, absent the measures set forth in this proclamation, the entry into the United States of persons described in section 1 of this proclamation would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, and that their entry should be subject to certain restrictions, limitations, and exceptions. I therefore hereby proclaim the following:
Section 1. Suspension and Limitation on Entry. The entry of any alien into the United States across the international boundary between the United States and Mexico is hereby suspended and limited, subject to section 2 of this proclamation. That suspension and limitation shall expire 90 days after the date of this proclamation or the date on which an agreement permits the United States to remove aliens to Mexico in compliance with the terms of section 208(a)(2)(A) of the INA (8 U.S.C. 1158(a)(2)(A)), whichever is earlier.
Sec. 2. Scope and Implementation of Suspension and Limitation on Entry. (a) The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 1 of this proclamation shall apply only to aliens who enter the United States after the date of this proclamation.
(b) The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to any alien who enters the United States at a port of entry and properly presents for inspection, or to any lawful permanent resident of the United States.
(c) Nothing in this proclamation shall limit an alien entering the United States from being considered for withholding of removal under section 241(b)(3) of the INA (8 U.S.C. 1231(b)(3)) or protection pursuant to the regulations promulgated under the authority of the implementing legislation regarding the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, or limit the statutory processes afforded to unaccompanied alien children upon entering the United States under section 279 of title 6, United States Code, and section 1232 of title 8, United States Code.
(d) No later than 90 days after the date of this proclamation, the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall jointly submit to the President, through the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, a recommendation on whether an extension or renewal of the suspension or limitation on entry in section 1 of this proclamation is in the interests of the United States.
Sec. 3. Interdiction. The Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall consult with the Government of Mexico regarding appropriate steps — consistent with applicable law and the foreign policy, national security, and public-safety interests of the United States — to address the approach of large groups of aliens traveling through Mexico with the intent of entering the United States unlawfully, including efforts to deter, dissuade, and return such aliens before they physically enter United States territory through the southern border.
Sec. 4. Severability. It is the policy of the United States to enforce this proclamation to the maximum extent possible to advance the interests of the United States...

As the song goes "I'm glad all over". We may not win but there will be plenty of entertainment! The only thing that might save Amerika in the longer term, is the replacement of the Entire Democratic Partei with two newly-formed parties, neither of which would contain old guard Dems.
Absent political restructuring, anything else will fail. The Democratic party has mutated into an increasingly deadly cancer.

Angela Merkel’s unilateral decision in 2015 let a million migrants into Germany who had already crossed many other EU countries, neither applying for asylum there nor indeed cooperating in any way to allow themselves to be properly documented and registered. The Dublin Regulation was simply ignored. It was yet another example where the EU elite promises rule-of-law based democratic governance in theory, but in practice advances its goals by autocratically presenting people with a fait accompli in defiance of its own professed rules. Of course this is going to rankle many people.

Why didn't the Bundestag veto her plan--or don't they do that sort of thing in Germany any more?
It was never put to a vote. The AfD was not yet in the Bundestag
(All the other parties de facto support amnesty for migrants already here, and looking the other way regarding new undocumented migrants who continue to arrive in violation of the Dublin accord.)
The AfD first won seats in the Bundestag in the election of 2017. This turned out to be a crucial point and technicality when the AfD went before the German constitutional court and argued that Merkel’s actions in 2015 were unconstitutional. The court dismissed the case, stating that it is not its role to make abstract rulings on government policies, it can only adjudicate if there is a concrete complaint from the legislative (the Bundestag) against the executive that the latter has overstepped its powers and usurped the former’s prerogatives. But in this case, the court ruled, not having been part of the Bundestag at the time, the AfD lacked standing.
A clever “out” for the court not to have to meddle and make waves . . .
There are a few mavericks in the other parties who have been willing to stick their necks out and criticize migration policy and problematic migrant behavior. Among Greens, there’s Tübingen mayor Boris Palmer or, in the Left Party, Sahra Wagenknecht. But they are few and far between. And most of the rest of the Greenish-leftish spectrum disparages and mocks them.
