After weeks of beautiful weather and cooler than normal temps (low 80s), the mercury finally hit the century mark yesterday for the first time this summer. We're in a mini 3 day heatwave that started on Wed.. Tomorrow the temps are supposed to drop back to the upper 80s, which is more normal for this time of year.

Needing photos to post for tonight's FNP, I went to the zoo on Wed. I had planned to spend about three hours there. About 20 minutes after arriving my back said otherwise. So we had a discussion and came to an agreement. My back agreed to stay for 90 minutes but only if we stayed on flat ground and didn't go traipsing up and down through all the canyons. If you've never been to the San Diego zoo, there's a lot of walking up and down through the canyons on your journey through the different habitats. It worked out well. It's been a while since I photographed the reptiles and they're all located on flat ground.
