Last night's total lunar eclipse, as seen from @ESO's Paranal Observatory. This sequence spans from 1:08 am to 3:18 am Chilean time.

Cool photos Snoop
Love the one with the moon on the tip of the statues finger. We missed seeing it irl. Sleeping

Beautiful pics of the moon
I was working when some fellow crew members came up to me and told me to go look at the moon. So I did. It was pretty damn cool.

Really neat pictures
I totally missed it in real time and real life, so it is cool to see these spectacular photos. Thanks for the compilation, snoop.

We built a campfire in the back yard (it was COLD) and watched.
Took a lot of pictures, all pretty typical. But a friend of mine, who delivers airplanes for Boeing, was on his way to Tahiti in a new 787, and got these:
Dammit. I uploaded the photo to the website image library. It's called Moon upside down.jpg
...can't get it to work, though.

Loved the photos you posted and thought you might enjoy this one too.

I really like the eclipsed moon on the ocean horizon. We
did go out to see have a few peeks at the moon during the eclipse, but was too cold for old people to stay out for the whole thing.

Super cool!
It's been so cold here, but we did poke our heads out the door to look, and took a few photos, albeit blurry ones.
I love the photos with the statues "interacting". There's a statue in New Orleans called Monument to the Immigrant that would make a great one. I think I have a photo of her, at night even. Maybe with some photoshop...hmm, brb, gotta jump in my WayBack Machine.
This shit is bananas.
There are many more tweets on the linked diary
AKAlib put a lot of work into his diary by posting all the different tweets. I cheated a bit and just saved the images. But it still took a while to do it.
My favorites are the stacked photos that show the whole event in one photo. One guy took more than the 261 photos he finally used. This is something I have long wanted to learn how to do, but can't find a program for my Mac.
The ones that got the statues in them were very lucky that the moon cooperated.
Was Humpty Dumpty pushed?
my photo
Hmm, it's quite a bit blurrier than I remember so not very photoshop-worthy. Ah well. Hopefully I'll be able to get back there before it becomes the next Atlantis and get a better photo.
This shit is bananas.
This would be cool to have the moon sitting on it
Hope you can get back there before the next one. It was too cloudy for me to see it. Bummer.
