Revenge: Trump Threatens “Deep State” With Declassification “To Find Additional Corruption” As GOP Allies Call For Release

Revenge: Trump Threatens “Deep State” With Declassification “To Find Additional Corruption” As GOP Allies Call For Release

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-09-06/revenge-trump-threatens-deep-s...

One day after the New York Times published an anonymous op-ed alleging that a cabal of “resisters” within the White House is actively subverting the Commander in Chief, President Trump threatened to declassify documents which might uncover “Additional Corruption,” right as his GOP allies on Capitol Hill are calling on him to use his Presidential authority to declassify and release reams documents related to the DOJ’s Russia probe.

“The Deep State and the Left, and their vehicle, the Fake News Media, are going Crazy – & they don’t know what to do,” Trump tweeted Thursday morning, adding: “The Economy is booming like never before, Jobs are at Historic Highs, soon TWO Supreme Court Justices & maybe Declassification to find Additional Corruption. Wow!”

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 6, 2018

In particular, Republican Reps. Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz and Lee Zeldin have asked Trump to declassify more of the heavily redacted FISA surveillance warrant on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page in late 2016. They also want Trump to release all of the official notes filed by twice-demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr, whose cozy relationship with former UK spy Christopher Steele has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks.

At 12:45PM, I will be joined by @Jim_Jordan @RepMarkMeadows @RepMattGaetz & others to call on @realDonaldTrump to declassify & release the Page FISA apps, Ohr’s 302s & more. The FISA court was misled & the process abused to spy on Americans. We have ZERO tolerance for any of it!

— Lee Zeldin (@RepLeeZeldin) September 6, 2018

The GOP legislators are also seeking the declassification of “other relevant documents” according to Zeldin’s office.

The GOP lawmakers intend to formally announced [sic] their push on Thursday at a press conference. Trump has long backed his allies’ complaints that the Justice Department has withheld sensitive documents that might expose bias behind the Russia probe, which was launched in July 2016 by the FBI. In January, he agreed to declassify a memo crafted by GOP staff of the House Intelligence Committee that officially confirmed, for the first time, the existence of the Page surveillance warrant. That document had been reported in media but not formally acknowledged by the FBI. -Politico

________________________________
Add to that declassification the Intelligence Community Inspector General’s report that was referenced in July during hearings of the House Intelligence Community. That still classified document finds the “a foreign country” unrelated to Russia intercepted virtually all of the 30,000 messages, many containing classified materials, sent over Clinton’s unauthorized email server. Strzok and Comey at the FBI refused to follow-up, and both have subsequently denied this under oath during Congressional testimony and to federal investigators.

Concrete proof of violations of Sec. 793 of the Espionage Act by Clinton and subsequent Perjury and Obstruction of Justice by the officials assigned to investigate the crime.

Maybe, Trump is crazy like a rabid fox. Maybe, they will all destroy each other. Pass the popcorn.

Once the IG report is declassified, expect to hear a lot more of this:

The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?

in the coming elections, vote Republican.
The Democrat Party must be completely destroyed, in order to save it.
I know, I know. Sounds crazy, right?
But the Democrats continue to just string us along, pretending to be an opposition party.
A full and complete flush is necessary. Hold the handle down to make sure it all goes down.
Even the small handful of good ones will just have to take a bullet for the good of god and Country.

Edit: Think about this. The PTB already have complete control of virtually every facet of our government and economy. How could anything get any worse?
At least the spotlight would be on the Republicans to shoulder the blame for whatever happens to America the Beautiful.
Repeal of Roe vs Wade? Rs did it.
End all healthcare for Americans? Rs did it.
Cut wages to slavery levels? Rs did it.
War on the elderly? Rs did it.
I've been saying for a couple of decades now, both here and at GOS, "The American people will not wake up until they feel lash of the whip on their backs".
It's going to be painful, let's get on with it. And get it over with.

But, I have the same opinion that the corporate dems need to fall. My preference would be that docs would be declassified and arrests would be made before November.

right after Rudolf Hess passed on.

Seeing the authorities’ haste to raze Spandau, I’m amazed they didn’t go all the way and immediately have the rubble either buried on the German equivalent of Staten Island or shipped off to China.

You always have to wonder, why was it so important that Hess be barred from all communication with the outside world all those years?

You always have to ask, what is it this time?

What was it, what is it exactly that is so important to the authorities that the general public never find out?

The FISA warrant application was already declassified, but was heavily redacted to the point of not disclosing any useful information. There would likely be a lot of push back on that one, but it would be revealing.

Right now, the ICIG report on the HRC server is a good place to start - if she has nothing to hide, why object? Where have we heard that before?

There were documents written by Powell, presented to Bush. Criminal stuff. Eventually, Guccifer was found and arrested, tried and imprisoned in Romania. Then, around the time between the Benghazi hearings and Her private server hearings, Guccifer was offered the chance to be moved to a US prison. He quickly agreed. That was the last we heard.

Then, Guccifer 2 was invented.

This is getting serious. Imagine what information Trump could release. Certainly enough to put Brennan and Mueller in jail for a long time (for lying to Congress, spying on the Senate intelligence committee, faking evidence in the PanAm 103 investigation, etc.), but it goes way beyond that. He could expose the criminal working of the deep state, pull back the curtain and show us the psychopaths that are running the country. The US has been a murderous imperial power for many decades. Think of the number of lies that could be exposed, the number of CIA thugs that would be in jail. Ronnie Raygun would be exposed to all the world as a lying asshole. The entire US narrative of what we stand for would be exposed as lies. It will never get that far, of course. Trump would be assassinated first, and he doesn't really want to expose historic US imperialism. More likely, there will be some kind of truce, but Trump is a loose canon with a lot of crude cunning. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out.

Caca de Vaca! The FISA court didn't even hold a hearing on any of the FISA vs Page warrants. It's little enough that the application for same (and subsequent renewals) were misleading, the "process" (smoke and mirrors) was even more vacuous. The Müller circus is built upon ether. Nothing there folks. Not even "collusion" is a crime. But the basis for the entire proceedings is invalid and the whole deal should be susceptible to motion to dismiss on the basis of insufficient basis to proceed. That basis was 4 improper FISA warrants, none of which demonstrated judicial input as well as the seriously flawed requests.

It would seem that a good lawyer should be able to appeal the Witch Hunt out of existence in a Federal court. Could any of our legal experts please advise on this matter?

The FISC Court is hermetically sealed. There is no mechanism for anyone except the Atty General to motion to reopen, appeal, or challenge a warrant ruling. The AG can appeal denial of a warrant to the Supreme Court, but not the grant of a warrant application. One can't quash a FISA warrant once issued, but they do expire.

It's the closest thing to a Star Chamber in the US judiciary.

The problem here is that there's apparently some sort of Dead Man Switch attached to the Untouchable Castrated Elf. Any effort to replace him will trigger a measure to Impeach. So long as the little man is AG, Sessions won't do any of the following: fire Mueller or the Deputy AG, convene a Grand Jury into Hillary or anyone on her team, or seek a FISA warrant against the other side. That seems to have been a deal made at the highest levels between the Congressional leadership early on in "Russiagate." Maybe that will change - who knows? That seems to be the best anyone can hope for - who knows.

Who was it who said any competent foreign intelligence service should have had an interest in and the ability to harvest Her server, so there are probably a number of collections of her email. Here it is:

Former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Michael T. Flynn, former United States Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and former deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency Michael Morell have said that it is likely that foreign governments were able to access the information on Clinton's server. Michael Hayden, former Director of the National Security Agency, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency said "I would lose all respect for a whole bunch of foreign intelligence agencies if they weren't sitting back, paging through the emails."

Not sure I can agree that China was THE beneficiary of this arrangement.

that you're making. Removing her communications from the State Dept. was to keep them from government oversight, essentially to keep them from the American people. Her communications were likely meant to be freely accessible to the corporate and international players involved in her dealings like the Global Shale Initiative. So players in, what were the countries she was dealing with in shale? Oh, yeah, China, South Africa, Romania, Morocco, Bulgaria, Chile, India, Pakistan, Argentina, Indonesia, and Ukraine… these players were in communication with her, so the fact that her server was insecure wasn't threatening to her. But her communications and her server were secure from us. That was the point.

Hillary Clinton’s Energy Initiative Pressed Countries to Embrace Fracking, New Emails Reveal
Lee Fang, Steve Horn
The Intercept
May 23 2016

… emails obtained by The Intercept show that State Department officials worked closely with private sector oil and gas companies, pressed other agencies within the Obama administration to commit federal government resources including technical assistance for locating shale reserves, and distributed agreements with partner nations pledging to help secure investments for new fracking projects… The campaign included plans to spread the drilling technique to China, South Africa, Romania, Morocco, Bulgaria, Chile, India, Pakistan, Argentina, Indonesia, and Ukraine… A number of energy companies that worked closely with the State Department now employ lobbyists that are fundraising furiously for Clinton’s campaign. ExxonMobil’s top lobbyist, as well as lobbyists for liquefied natural gas terminals designed to connect the U.S. to the global gas market, are among the most prolific fundraisers.

… The Global Shale Gas Initiative, Clinton’s program for promoting fracking, was announced on April 7, 2010, by David Goldwyn, the State Department’s special envoy for energy affairs, at the United States Energy Association (USEA), whose members include Chevron, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, and Shell.

You don’t have to get into any deep conspiratorial rabbit hole to consider the possibility that all this drama and conflict is staged from top to bottom. Commentators on all sides routinely crack jokes about how the mainstream media pretends to attack Trump but secretly loves him because he brings them amazing ratings. Anyone with their eyes even part way open already knows that America’s two mainstream parties feign intense hatred for one another while working together to pace their respective bases into accepting more and more neoliberal exploitation at home and more and more neoconservative bloodshed abroad. They spit and snarl and shake their fists at each other, then cuddle up and share candy when it’s time for a public gathering. Why should this administration be any different?

it under a new runway at an American military airport. Appropriate. Powdered bricks tell no tales about whom it was Hess expected to be meeting in Scotland in May, 1941, and you know what - it worked. Who even asks anymore or even remembers the Cliveden Set? Sure, it has a Wiki, but did you ever hear of the Milner Group? Google "Quigley's roster of the Milner Group" (per, Graeme Donald, Lies, Damn Lies and History, Google Books)

The alliance of wealthy British and Americans with Nazis and Fascists in the 1930s dwarfs so-called collusion with Russia. Goes to prove that such things are soon forgiven and smoothed over when there's enough money and dynastic titles to be protected.

Throughout 1936, several members, including Dawson, Lord Astor, and Jones, traveled to Germany to meet with Hitler, Ribbentrop, Hermann Goring, and Werner von Blomberg. Ribbentrop, while in London on 2 June, lunched with Jones and further discussed arrangements for a Hitler — Baldwin meeting, concluding that Hitler could meet Baldwin (who was afraid of flying), two to three miles off the English coast. Jones then asked Ribbentrop to go with him that evening to the Astors for dinner, so that “he would meet a Cabinet Minister in the shape of Inskip, now Minister for the Co-ordination of Defence, as well as Lothian and the Astors.”67

How convenient! It seems that the Mimer Group believed that they could influence another
member of the Cabinet, which was exactly what happened. According to Jones, Inskip was
“impressed” with Ribbentrop. Ribbentrop had informed Inskip that Germany was receiving
secret advances from some of the smaller powers in Europe, and stressed “the importance of a collaborating England and Germany forming a new centre of crystallization.”68 After Inskip had gone to bed, Lothian, Jones, and Ribbentrop talked further. Jones wrote that Lothian “impressed [the Milner Group aimss upon von Ribbentrop that in any agreement with us it must be made plain that it contemplated the peaceful revision of the treaties as they affected Austria, Memel, and the rest. We must not get into a position of a breach of faith should Austria fall to Germany.”69 Thus, Lothian and Jones were conspiring with the Nazis to revise the Treaty of Versailles, further indicating their sympathy with German desires as long as changes were made peacefully.

Then in September 1936, Dawson, Jones, and David Lloyd George met with Ribbentrop,
Hitler, and Rudolf Hess in a series of meetings where they reiterated their desire for peace with Germany. While the Milner Group was busy giving Hitler the false impression that England was ready to make an alliance with Germany, they also were attempting to further influence their own government to this policy.

The Milner Group conspiracy thickens when you consider the role of several government
officials who were either part of the group or loosely affiliated with it. This includes Halifax, Sir John Simon (through All Souls), Sir Samuel Hoare, Inskip, and Chamberlain who were all active among the group, and present for many meetings.7° The Milner Group’s constant interaction with these Cabinet members at Cliveden, and elsewhere, allowed them to be influential. Michael Astor, the youngest son of Waldorf, wrote that “the danger of Philip Lothian’ s position was that although he had no actual responsibility for government policy, he had the ear of men who wielded power.”7’ And this could be said for most of the group, particularly Dawson, Jones, and the Astors. “It goes without saying that the whole inner core of the group, and their chief publications, such as The Times and The Round Table, approved the policy of appeasement completely and prodded it along with calculated indiscretions when it was felt necessary to do so.” 2 Thus, it can be argued that, because of their influence, Hitler was assured that he could rearm and reoccupy the Rhineland without British resistance, while members of the British Cabinet made sure an alliance against Germany was impossible.73 Even after the Rhineland incident, they were able to prevent action against Germany, by convincing even anti-appeasers that Hitler’s intentions were peaceful. On 9 March 1936 the Cabinet concluded that no action was necessary. Anthony Eden’s statement, which he later read in the House of Commons, was discussed and approved in the Cabinet. It read:

there is, I am thankful to say, no reason to suppose that the present German action
implies a threat of hostilities; the German Government speak in their
memorandum of their “unchangeable longing for a real pacification of Europe”
and express their willingness to conclude a non-aggression pact with France and
Belgium.74

Thus, the conspiracy was complete.

@Linda Wood Many parallels between then and the current world, particularly Middle East terrorists, can certainly be identified. Amazing how consorting (as opposed to collusion) with the enemy was in play for the entirety of WW2. These plotters not only did not hang, they prospered.

The story about the Clivenden Set from a comment above gives lie to the frequently voiced excuse for Chamberlain's "peace in our time" spineless surrender was due to military unpreparedness--that the UK wasn't possessing of sufficient military resources and personnel. Hence UK entered the War , not with running start but from dead stop. It could have been otherwise.

...by Third World Traveler. I like to do my own research but it helps to know what to look for. There are several similar compendiums like that on the Internet and the Dark web. True labors of love. One thing you learn — the stuff we hedge around and talk in guarded tones about, especially events from 1905 to 1945 is stuff that smart people already knew and discussed at the time. They knew in the mid 1800s that there was no difference in the parties when it came to big money and controlling the peasants. And, pretty much all the wars the US has been involved in, we helped create for financial advantage.

Everybody who fought and died pretty much died so some rich fucker could get richer. And drugs have always been a part of this. Religion, too. Most of the time, we fought on the side of evil, when you look at it objectively. Americans knew all of this a century ago. They knew the fixes, too. Want a stable economy. Outlaw interest. End of problem. Profit share, instead. There are simple solutions for all of it. Expand the Supreme Court to 36 or end lifetime appointments. Eliminate age restrictions to represent all the generations. If you want a democracy, then build a real one that doesn't look like a hillbilly yard sale run by hackers. Limit elections to six weeks using public funding only. Make recalls easier after the first year. Drop the voting age to 16 and cut it off at 56. Break up the political-party monopolies.

Tightly restrict the inheritance of both wealth and debt, both public and private. A Congressperson cannot vote for the nation to take on debt unless they are adhering to a budget that pays it off before they die. Otherwise, they do not get a vote. They cannot sell the young into slavery. The debt the US takes on is directly related to wars and corporate greed. If something becomes a public utility because people need it to live in this society, nationalize it and don't look back. Get private contractors and corporations out of public works. Reinstate the antitrust laws, break up the monopolies or nationalize them. Break up the media monopolies, reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. Stop institutional lying.

Nationalize the Banks and the nation's natural resources. Nationalize sufficient education to provide excellence across all the top fields for every degree earned. In government jobs, place a higher value on a National education over a private education. Invest in a nation of highly educated, healthy, and happy citizens before investing in anything else. Sentence prisoners in sequential college degrees, masteries, published works — not in years. Turn prisons into schools. Make it work. Use house arrest whenever possible, stop breaking up families. End the death penalty so society will stop producing so many sick fucks. Before anyone draws another dollar of salary, give the American people basic Human Rights, unconditionally. Stop treating women like farm animals and livestock. Let them control their bodies. You want national security? Make the American commons very accessible and beautiful, and prioritize the Arts above the Pentagon. Give the people what they want for a change. Talk about it, think about it, and act on it. These are old simple ideas that make life fair.

The embrace of Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy by so many powerful bankers and manufacturers on both sides of the Atlantic, and their general hostility to Russia, really comes down to individual calculations of profits from trade balances and profits from war. It's interesting that those identified -- the DuPonts, Remington arms, Morgan Bank -- by the "Merchants of Death" hearings line up in a smooth, continuous line with the backers of both the Banker's Plot (1933) and the various mechanizations by the Dulles Bros. at Sullivan & Cromwell and the Cliveden Set/Milner Group to fund the Nazi Party and the German Steele Trust. Always helps to go back to primary and contemporaneous sources, See, e.g., H.C. Engelbrecht, Merchants of Death (1934), available free at: https://mises.org/library/merchants-death; https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/McCormack%E2%80%93Dickstein_Committee#Page_1 (1934); and, George Seldes, Facts and Fascism (1943), first chapters at: http://www.maebrussell.com/Articles%20and%20Notes/Facts%20and%20Fascism.....

This wealthy, Far Right cabal calculated that they would maximize profits by manipulating all sides, funding the most extreme political factions, rearming Germany, and by the subsequent war. Meanwhile, some of the more far-sighted and truly internationalist of this group -- Harriman Brown Bros. and the Bushes -- simultaneously traded with Stalin by developing the Baku oil fields as a partnership between Standard Oil an the Soviet State oil company, while also forging the partnership with the German petrochemical giant, IG Farbin.

That company, using western capital, developed the nerve agent Sarin and invented the poison gas Zyklon B. This Anglo-American funded partnership also developed synthetic oil and Rubber complexes in Silesia on coal-rich land on the contested German-Polish border owned by the Harriman 40 company managed by Prescott Bush and George Herbert Walker, on which was built the synthetic oil and rubber plants and slave labor system that fed it at the lowest possible labor cost at Auschwitz.

After the war, all this was overlooked and those who had profited most went on to take over the political leadership and intelligence agencies of the United States and Great Britain.

That cabal is the true origin of what we now call the Deep State. That is my enemy, and now that I realize it is still very much in charge, I make no excuses for proclaiming myself its enemy.

@leveymg It is powerful reminder that nothing has really changed. The names of the Bankers and the Banks, their notable intrusion into government (especially the Dulles boys and Harrimans-Bush-Prescott et. al.) shows the filth and corruption on all sides of "the Good War". Especially notable is the Harriman's supporting three sides in the coming, and continuing, struggle: US banksters, Nazi Germany, and Stalin. Anything for a buck.

It is no wonder that Operation Paperclip and Operation Gladio were instituted so effortlessly. Those involved on the "Allied" side did not swear an oath to Der Führer, but continued an unwavering love of money--not only love of money, but lust for money, sheer greed for money. Here is obviously an outcropping of money over people schemes, now vividly exposed, at least for me.

This is what we're living with, the power of Fascism in our government. Harriman made it clear that as a Soviet industrialist he could work with Trotsky, even though Trotsky was a purist and believed in the Revolution, but that the problem he had in the Soviet Union was the workforce. Working people in Russia in the 1920s and 30s had been through World War I, famine, revolution, and civil war. And they were educated in Bolshevik schools. Thus, they believed they owned the means of production. And they were tough as nails. Harriman describes his experiences trying to build railroads to his manganese mines and having pitted arguments all along the way with the labor force. Unacceptable.

This is why he and George Herbert Walker and others like them, aided by Allen Dulles, their lawyer from hell, built, outfitted, published and armed Hitler to the teeth, making him a state of the art war machine able to threaten the world, in the midst of a world-wide economic depression, meaning entirely with American taxpayer underwritten loans. Their purpose, as these bankers and industrialists were simultaneously Soviet and German agents of death, was to replace the Soviet system with Fascism, to destroy the labor movement and institute industrialized slavery.

What democracy means to these murderers is organized labor, educated, healthy, outspoken and intent on owning the means of production. The intention of the Fascists in the 1930s, as well as it is today, was to destroy democracy in order to exploit Russia, the planet's remaining resource wilderness. Nothing has changed.

@Linda Wood

And, they agreed that whatever ugly mutation they came up with to undermine and enslave labor, they would call it "democracy," as well.

Somehow, the spokesperson for the Obama State department could say to reporters that our support for moderates and Al Qaeda/Al Nusra in Syria was marbled, meaning mixed between various forces against Assad, even though Al Qaeda/Al Nusra was the enemy that attacked us on 9/11, the supposed reason for our war on terror. He smirked when he said it. Sort of shrugged with dismissiveness. Everything is democracy if our government is doing it, even arming the people who attacked us on 9/11. I guess the smirk, the shiftless smile, was meant to show us how funny it is that our government is deranged and committing treason.
