Democrats go all-in on Russiagate konspiracy

The DNC threw all their konspiracy cards on the table today.

The Democratic National Committee filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit Friday against the Russian government, the Trump campaign and the WikiLeaks organization alleging a far-reaching conspiracy to disrupt the 2016 campaign and tilt the election to Donald Trump.

The complaint, filed in federal district court in Manhattan, alleges that top Trump campaign officials conspired with the Russian government and its military spy agency to hurt Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and help Trump by hacking the computer networks of the Democratic Party and disseminating stolen material found there.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” DNC Chairman Tom Perez said in a statement.

“This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for President of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency,” he said.

The case asserts that the Russian hacking campaign — combined with Trump associates’ contacts with Russia and the campaign’s public cheerleading of the hacks — amounted to an illegal conspiracy to interfere in the election that caused serious damage to the Democratic Party.

Senate investigators and prosecutors for special counsel Robert S. Mueller III are still investigating whether Trump associates coordinated with the Russian efforts. Last month, House Intelligence Committee Republicans said they found no evidence that President Trump and his affiliates colluded with Russian officials to sway the election or that the Kremlin sought to help him — a conclusion rejected by the panel’s Democrats.

Basically they are yelling "treason" without any proof to back up the claim.
Why now, when the investigation is still ongoing?
This is obviously a political play, but what do they hope to accomplish?

The DNC lawsuit also names as a defendant the Russian military intelligence service, the GRU, which has been accused by the U.S. government of orchestrating the hacks, as well as WikiLeaks, which published the DNC’s stolen emails, and the group’s founder Julian Assange.
The lawsuit was also filed against Roger Stone, the longtime Trump confidante who claimed during the campaign that he was in contact with Assange.

They forgot to name the Illuminati.

BTW, here's a list of lawsuits concerning the DNC and 2016 election:

DNC Fraud Lawsuit

Clinton using DNC to launder cash

The Hillary Clinton Campaign and the Democratic National Committee allegedly used state chapters as strawmen to launder as much as $84 million in an effort to circumvent campaign donation limits, and the Federal Election Commission ignored complaints exposing the practice, a lawsuit filed Monday claims.

1. If allegations start fading away, they want to be able to say "just because criminal investigation or prosecution failed to meet standard of beyond-reasonable-doubt, that's not exoneration, because court is still considering whether our lawsuit will result in meeting the civil standard of preponderance-of-evidence".

2. They might also hope to duck some questions by saying "no comment because related court case is pending".

@emorej a hong kong
Over on the GOS, this update on the diary is worth noting

Update II: Many interesting causes of action. RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) (federal), Stored Communications Act (basically wiretapping/intercepting a message — covers hacking and allows a private right of action). Wiretapping Act (federal); misappropriation of trade secrets, trespass (state law) and others.

This ensures keeping the issue in the news for a long time.

Good job, Tom Perez!

F*ck Tom Perez.
He's been a disaster.

Nevertheless "keeping the issue in the news" might be the real reason for this lawsuit.

But that brings up another question: Why does it need to be headline news now?
Something must be going against the Dem establishment that forces them to bring this issue to a head.
What is it? The Dems sinking in the polls? The progressive insurgency gaining momentum? Is the Democratic base starting to pay attention to actual issues, and now must be distracted by ScaryRussia?
Some combination of these things?

@gjohnsit Didn't Comey just say that he thought Trump was NOT a Russian shill. Mueller's investigation is off the collusion tract although all the TOP graduates from the Law and Order Law School think Mueller is some sort of legal genius.

This is also meant for establishment dems to avoid talking once again about policy.

But a diversion and a front page news story for sure.

just in case he was charged for something. Today he was and his fundraiser came up in the comments. A few people said that they had donated to it.

Ole Andy isn't poor and I don't understand why he felt that he had to rely on the public for his defense funding. Rumors are that he is worth $11 million. There are so many desperate people who use gfm and they are begging for money and along comes rich Andy begging for it too.

Cad!

The republicans and Manchkin voted against prosecuting car lenders that charge minorities more interest rates for car loans. What makes this worse is that they use the congressional review act to do it. This act is only meant to be used during a new president's first 100 days. The republicans undid a lot of Obama's last minute legislation that hadn't gone into effect yet. Not too many people were aware of them doing this. That's because people were focused on what Trump was tweeting and Russia Gate. The CRA only needs 60, maybe 50 votes to pass.

The democrats have been helping the republicans pass some heinous legislation that will hurt Americans, but help their masters pockets.

This case, if pursued, would be quite interesting.

The first would be Alexandra Chalupa, the oppo research person from the DNC who allegedly was working for Clinton digging up dirt on Trump and Manafort. I'd ask her who her research took her to. For example, the names of people in Ukraine that she contacted. I'd ask her if and when she met CIA operatives and officials. I would ask a lot of questions about Seth Rich and his duties. I would bring in the cast at Crowdstrike, to include Dimitri Alperovitch, the head of that "cybersecurity" company and grill that SOB about his connections to the Atlantic Council.

I'd interview William Binney, who will demolish the claim that the Russians "hacked" the DNC computers.

In fact, I would put people on the stand and find out if the kerfluffle very early in the primaries about the Sanders "intrusion" into the DNC computers. It looks like that may have been the initial psyop that was transferred to Trump.

Oh, and I would definitely put Wasserman and Clinton on the stand. I would ask Clinton about her career in the CIA, which appears to go back to the sixties. I'd ask Wasserman about the shenanigans pulled on Sanders, I'd ask about the people dropped from the Democratic Party rolls during the primaries. And I'd ask about how the party laundered foreign donations through 32 state parties before sending them back to Hillary's PACs.

In a lawsuit like this both sides get to question their own list of witnesses.

That is why this suit will be dismissed by a judge or dropped by the plaintiffs before interrogatories begin. The DNC has so much more to lose and the folks in Langley who've been pulling the strings don't want the truth to be known.

Russia: US strikes remove moral hurdles for S-300 missiles for Assad, Russian FM says

MOSCOW: US military strikes on Syria last week removed any moral obligation Russia had to withhold S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems from its ally Syrian President Bashar Assad, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday, according to RIA state news agency.

Lavrov was also quoted as saying that, prior to the US strikes on Syrian targets, Russia had told US officials which areas of Syria represented “red lines” for Moscow, and the US military action did not cross those lines.

“Now, we have no moral obligations. We had the moral obligations, we had promised not to do it some 10 years ago, I think, upon the request of our known partners,” he said according to RIA.

Escalate the arms sales! This means war.
Either that or I'm so baked it reads wrong, "we have no moral obligations" sounds pretty wrong right now.

The complaint, filed in federal district court in Manhattan, the wrong fucking court because Jared Beck hates Bernie Sanders and seems to be bungling the lawsuit on purpose, alleges that top Trump DNC campaign officials conspired with the Russian government Clinton campaign and its military spy agency the Clinton Foundation to hurt Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton Bernie Sanders and help Trump Clinton by hacking the computer networks of the Democratic Party electronic voting machines and disseminating stolen material found there destroying ballots, not counting votes, turning away voters and changing party rules.

We have evidence that shows how Hillary and the DNC rigged the primary against Bernie and the media and everyone else never talked about it. Why? This is when Hillary cooked up Her conspiracy that Russia was interfering with the election and everyone believed her. Wikileaks released an email between her and Podesta that said they should get the media to focus on that so they don't focus on the contents of the email and what Wikileaks was saying.

Hillary knew that the FBI investigation into her private email server was going to be a problem and she did everything she could to make sure that the media and others didn't focus on it. They didn't.

I'm actually happy that they did this because people are going to have to testify under oath about what happened and we'll learn more about it. Good move, dufuses!

If this survives a motion to dismiss, the first thing the defendants will do is subpoena access to the DNC servers. You know, those servers that no one but Crowdstrike ever looked at, not even the F B I? There will also be subpoenas sent to Crowdstrike for everything it did related to the DNC and Clinton campaign.

My guess? Those servers have been bleached. So the only "evidence of a hack" will be Crowdstrike's report, but without any physical evidence, well let's just say I wouldn't want to put all my eggs in the credibility of Crowdstrike considering what we know about their conflicts of interest involving Trump, Clinton and Russia. Plus there is no way Crowdstrike itself will want to turn over all the docs relating to its work for the DNC and Clinton.

The end result? Case will quietly go away at some point long before trial. It's being filed now because this is an election year. As soon as the midterms are over I predict this case will be over, either because it's dismissed or because the DNC withdraws its complaint.

As a result of the persistence of the Russian state-sponsored infiltration, in order to remove the unauthorized users from it’s network, the DNC was required to decommission more than 140 servers, remove and re-install software, including the operating systems, for more than 180 computers and rebuild at least 11 servers.

This is the video that congress saw that made them think that Assad gassed his citizens. They are funded by us, the U.K. and the Saudis. There are numerous videos showing how they get the kids to practice being gassed with chemical weapons. A few of us here have posted videos and photos showing how they did that. Message me if you're interested in them.

Russia Gate is two years old now and still there is no evidence that it happened. But people are holding out hope that Mueller is going to find that smoking gun that will prove that it happened.
