It's a rainy one here, but that's a good thing. We've had a warm week and spring is happening. Daffodils, Forsythia, Redbuds swelling about to bloom. I even saw an early azalea in full bloom in town yesterday.

Winter isn't over... it likes to play tricks coming back for a visit after everything has put out. Every year is different though, and there have been years where the freezes were over by March....but that is a rare story. I look for a couple more doses of cold weather before spring is here for good.

Hope your day is a good one!

@jbob
and his Handmade Films also bankrolled Bruce Robinson's Withnail And I and How To Get Ahead In Advertising. The former contains this eulogy for the 1960s:

If you are hanging onto a rising balloon, you're presented with a difficult decision: let go before it's too late, or hang on and keep getting higher. Posing the question: how long can you keep a grip on the rope? They're selling hippie wigs in Woolworths, man. The greatest decade in the history of mankind is over. And as Presuming Ed here has so consistently pointed out, we have failed to paint it black.

today. Man, does that make me feel old. LOL.

This song was recorded live on tape. It was done 55 years ago. Audio recording was very simple back then. The Beatles were a polished bar band and you can hear it. Listen to the lead guitarist who recorded this at 20 years old. Rec'd!!

Isn't that the name of Bernie's new book tour? LOL Where can one go to live out a frugal life in peace and quiet, free from the book touring class? I am not for any sort of gun control anymore, the 25cent Stop&Drop seems more humane than these "wait for the data" assholes in charge. good luck

Please listen and comment if you have time. Why would anyone vote for a D governor in California again? I don't know. My love for Jerry Brown has dissipated to less than zero, unfortunately. Governor sub-zero.

Yesterday I spent lunch hour with my new pals down by the river. I brought an old pair of gore-tex gloves and a fluorescent yellow jacket for wheeling in traffic, both well received. I can't say any more about it right now, it's too hard. Church bells are ringing right now, how effing ironic. Better hurry!

Heard some cool covers I was completely unaware of.

How about this!

Also played Billy Preston's "All Things Must Pass," which seems to have been released just after the album of the same name in which he also played on.

Made me think of Nina Simone covering a couple herself:

Concrete Blonde was a great L.A. band fronted by Johnette Napolitano who put out a bunch of good albums in the late 80's/90's. They did this:
