Dang!
I always thought that I invented the principle of least action. My parents and teachers sure made it sound as though I had. Until I had to take my birth certificate to get a driver's permit, I thought my name was "Lazy!"
I really enjoy these threads, EL. Thank you.
My pleasure, thanks for reading. Assuming that you are part of
nature, Maupertuis asserted that you are lazy after a fashion:

"Thrifty" beats "Lazy!"
Um, what do you mean, assuming I am part of nature?" You tryinna start sumfin or what?

"tied for the hottest cities on the North Coast"
It’s not just hot, it’s a record, the AC keeps leaking all over inside it can't keep up so I run it sparingly. I'm lucky to have anything so not complaining. Rather have an absentee landlord and no rent increase. Place on the corner was just listed by Sotheby's. Nothing says "rent increase" like a Sotheby's sale next door but oh well.

A strange guy came through the screen up my stairs and stood right inside my room with his camera phone Sunday morning 5am, it was dark and scared me bad. Stunk like booze and would or could not answer wtf he was doing, I shoved him downstairs and back outside. Now I leave my door shut and locked, it is pretty stuffy. I want to keep an open heart, stay cool, not live in fear all the time. Used to be so simple.
...
Thank you for the good tunes about 17. Three sevens in today's date sounds lucky, good one.
peace
It was hot here too, but sans intruders. Strangely, summing

Hoping I make it through the day today
"Eyo 07/17/2017 age 58 yrs" kinda has symmetry but I think I'd rather live to see tomorrow, don't ask why. I have no idea. Cheers.
It generally seems reasonable to assume that one will be
here tomorrow barring known specific causal chains at work. Have a good one.

Just in from kayaking in a beautiful area and thought would check in.

A truth of the nuclear age/climate change: we can no longer have endless war and survive on this planet. Oh sh*t.
Good morning, do (&jb), thanks for dropping in.

EL I'm pretty sure that....
Germanicus' ride was a bug eyed Sprite.

I want a Pony!
Enjoyed the car.

Yes, it is.

"Fishface" was my guess, based on ghoti=fish, but I
thought I'd ask.

Common? Rare where I was.
My driveway is scary gully-washed. Down about a foot in places. And a mongo rain is heading this way, due in under 2 hours. The drought of last year is over, but now the ground is always saturated and the parking lot floods are serious. Like cars being towed later because the water was over the door sills. Street flooding as well. I need more stone. All Marcellus shale locally. AFAICT the driveway keeps sinking, although bedrock is within a foot.
Bills to pay. Amazing what a head injury does to timeliness.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Good morning, RL. I meant that the mythological "sprites"
were common back in Germanicus' time. Good luck with the weather.

The man in my life died today ... two years ago
some place I don't know, in some way, and I was not told how, with no outlook to ever knowing. I have seen him in a glass casket 4 weeks after his death in a funeral home. Those, who should know, never told me, where he has been buried. I feel he has been stolen out of my life. I didn't expect that this hurts me so much. Everyone has the right to be respected and get his burial place so that those, who knew him well, have a place to go to visit him and mourn.
Thanks for the music. Your selection is special.
