21st Century Corporate Propaganda
W.T.F... ?
Seriously, this image is one of the most blatant pieces of propaganda I've seen in my entire life. And the published piece is completely bonkers too.
I would excerpt some shit, and it is shit, but I just don't have the time nor energy to track down all the half truths. Having been quite interested in domestic spying, tech, and the corporate state, the shit peddled in this article is just completely fraudulent.
I'm not going to lie. This really scared me. It's the kind of propaganda you can't attack. The imagery is a complete "fact" to a shit ton of people. We're going to dismantle democracy to get Donald Drumpf.
I recommend you all read the piece, and that's no easy task, it is a hard read.
And please, call this shit out as naked corporate propaganda. Fight the good fight.

Good heavens!!
The White House has become a Russian Orthodox cathedral?
But seriously, you could pretty much superimpose an image of the WH on any famous building across the globe, given a very meddlesome Federal Government.

Actually it's not clear whether US media doesn't know the difference or they use St Basil's because it's better for propaganda because Kremlin building doesn't give the scary Red Square vibe that we know from the last Cold War. This isn't the first time someone has crafted a magazine cover image merging the White House and St Basil Cathedral representing it as the Russian White House.
But Jaffy was retweeted 2500 times and even after many people told him it wasn't the Kremlin, he didn't correct it. He's an NBC "senior editor" and he's all propaganda all day long.

OK but how about proactively advancing utter bullshit narratives that support US "allies and interests"? Which is what WaPo and NYT are already doing, and what these DARPA creeps evidently want to do a lot more of. To protect us poor vulnerable citizens of course, from having our feeble minds polluted by anyone the USG deems to be an "enemy". Several choices as to rationale: they know what they want to make us think and, perhaps more importantly, not think; megalomaniacs and psychopaths always think that they are waaaaay smarter than other people, so that other people have to have their minds and perceptions controlled by their betters; some of the pathologically greedy/micromanaging control billionaires/corporate interests just can't stand the idea of anyone having anything else, neither money/property nor rights. And they're working on that and have been achieving it, especially in America, for some time.
But as long as we aren't in a position to impose our views on or creating harm to others, we have a right to be wrong. They don't have a right to limit what we can normally see or read on the internet (apart from some exceptions; child porn, actual animal cruelty inflicted for thrills, potentially murderous incitements on hate sites - any really sick stuff which causes harm to the vulnerable and portrays this as exciting and acceptable) or try to brainwash us.
To err is human, as is the conviction that you're more right than the other guy. (Especially when you know the other guy's a propagandist.)

government was sending TV news shows videos of news stories made by the government or its flacks and the news stations were just running them without change and without announcing government had provided them? I tried to read this pos propaganda, but I stopped when I got to Russia invading Ukraine in 2014. Now that propaganda is working here because so many people say the exact same thing. And that Russia stole Crimea during that time. No matter how many times people point out what Nuland said about spending $5 billion to get Yahtzee installed.
So there was more than just the DNC and Podesta's emails that were hacked ? I haven't heard that. Oh well, I didn't hear most of the things that the author wrote.
Wow, we are going to have to very diligent and make sure that Russia doesn't change how this country was formed. They might change our history. If they change it and tells kids the truth about Columbus, what they did to the Native Americans and the real reasons why our country has gone from country to country and killing people and destroying their country, then I wouldn't mind if they changed our history.

Just saying. There is a market... and the MSM ain't interested...
I do not pretend I know what I do not know.
It's been quite a while
since the media lost interest in being "market based" and instead started shoving shit down our throats. The whole "fascination" with celebrity was cultivated - it didn't originate with the people. Remember Anna Nicole Smith's death? She was no one, but they ran stories for months as if we were trying to lick up every last little morsel we could about her. The people were sick of hearing about it. We didn't realize it at the time, but we were being trained.
Now, with more media outlets than ever, we get about 90% less legitimate news stories and a ton of crap about celebrities, feel good stories and crime/criminals/murderers. ABC regularly spews Disney advertisements masquerading as "news". Since when did the people demand to know the weekly results of "Dancing with the Stars" in our news broadcasts?
Recently I've noticed that every daytime talk show now spends a good deal of time providing product advertising during their non-ad time. I mean, The Price is Right was always a continuous ad but now it's seeping into the talk shows. Don't they realize we don't have enough money to buy all their crap anymore?
I have less than no interest in Dancing With the
Stars. Nothing will get me clicking faster with the exception of maybe The Apprentice. Oh, and Survivor. Pretty much all reality TV. Which is why I was mystified as to the popularity of the current White House pResident.
TV is mostly cr@p anymore, but then I remember a time when the premise of the film "Network" seemed improbable. Little did I know that it was a warning.

Remember when the US put Yeltsin in power

Fortunately for Russia, this gross interference in the democracy of a foreign country by the US inadvertently set up the conditions for Putin to get elected in 2000.

The US power elite will NEVER forgive Putin for snatching their hard won prize from their rapacious jaws. Fifty years of western machinations, lies and deceit, costing untold hundreds of billions of dollars, all gone up in a puff of smoke due to the work and skills of just one man - Putin. Pacifica radio and such. One program was airing clips from the new movie, which I just found on youtube, The Dubious Friends Of Donald Trump. The movie looks like good investigative journalism into some pretty scary business ties Trump has had with Russian oligarchs. Here is the movie, just in case anyone doubted how f**ked we all are:
[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdZ-RbL7pmw]
Beware the bullshit factories.
Do you have links to the Pacifica radio "clips"
There's a lot of unconfirmed speculation and innuendo in this 'movie'. I've watched the first ten minutes and it's not worth my time if it continues in this vein.
One of the problems is that the connections that Trump had/has with Russia date back to the period when US backed oligarchs were pillaging the Russian economy right after the fall of the USSR. These Russian oligarchs were pulling $1 to $2 billion out of the country every month during the 1990's at the very same time as the IMF and US Treasury Department was loaning Russia tens of billions in support of Yeltsin. They were looking for ways to launder their ill gotten gains and were investing in properties in London and New York. Putin put a stop to the worst excesses of this theft of Russian resources. Of course, it is SOP to blame Putin for these crimes.

True. But what is the connection with this movie
and the Times propaganda piece that Trump is a Russian puppet and is allowing the Russian government (Kremlin) to take over the US presidency?
Your movie is about Trump's connections to the Russian oligarchs and mafia. It was the American government itself which created the conditions for their rise and spread in the first place.
Valid point, but what has Trump as POTUS actually done so far
Sanctions will not be lifted. Exxon got no exception to sanctions. Trump bombed now twice a major Russian ally. Halley in the UN has skewered Russian on almost everything. Blamed all re-newed fighting on Russia in Ukraine. Halley wanted to put sanctions on Syria. Did Tillerson say that Russia invaded the Ukraine? Putin must give back Crimea to Ukraine. Troops not removed from Russian borders--seems to have increased. Pledged loyalty to NATO. New monies, alot of new monies, for new nuclear weapons. Mattis Calls Russia "Biggest Threat".
As of right now, and I could be limited in what I have seen, Trump's administration has not done the Russians whether private or Putin, any solid favors--in fact, quite the opposite. And some of the rhetoric from certain administration officials has been toxic toward the Russians.
