It's as if we aren't wanted
There's nothing worse than being at a party and feeling like no one wants you there.
By "party", I mean the Syrian civil war.
By "no one" I mean everyone in the middle east.
United States and allied aircraft will be banned from flying over much of Syria in a deal between Iran, Russia and Turkey, a senior Russian diplomat said on Friday....
But Mr. Lavrentiev seemed to sketch out a broader geographical no-fly zone for American and coalition military planes. He said they would be allowed to fly only in eastern Syria over Islamic State-held areas, apparently excluding the entire western spine of the country.
Wait a sec. We're Americans. You can't tell us when to stop bombing people! Only we can declare the fighting is over.
Nevertheless, one of the representatives of the Syrian opposition groups at talks in Astana, Kazakhstan, Col. Ahmad Berri, sounded a strikingly optimistic note, saying he expected to see a full cease-fire in the designated zones once the plan takes effect on Saturday.
“The Russians this time are more serious, we sensed it, more than last time,” he said in a telephone interview. “The regime will be committed to the deal because the Russians are the guarantor, so if the Russians said no bombing, the regime will stop.”
Why are people treating Russia with respect and not us?
It's as if no one is listening to us.
Next thing you know, someone will threaten us to leave.
A top aide to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hinted Wednesday that U.S. commandos in northern Syria could be targeted by Turkish rockets if they continue to work with Kurdish fighters along the border with Turkey.
If the Kurds and Americans continue to work together, Cevik said during a radio interview, “we won’t be considering the fact that there are armored American vehicles. All of a sudden, by accident, a few rockets can hit them.”
The veiled threats for a NATO ally to potentially use force against U.S. troops highlight just how risky and complicated U.S. intervention in the Syrian civil war has become, and could further sour relations between Washington and Ankara that have already been strained in the wake of a failed 2016 coup in Turkey.
That's veiled? It's about as veiled as a thug telling you what a shame it would be if something were to happen to your place of business.
We can take a hint!
Fortunately we'll always be welcome in Iraq.
Iraq's Prime Minister says no U.S. combat troops will stay in Iraq after the fight against the Islamic State is concluded.
Haider al-Abadi remarks came in a statement Friday morning following a report by The Associated Press that talks are ongoing between Iraq and the U.S. on maintaining American forces in Iraq.
Jeesh. You invade a couple nations, break a few international laws, commit a few war crimes, and kill a few hundred thousand people, and people start treating you as some sort of pariah.

Oops.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Not to worry.
There are whole other continents just begging America to come kill their innocents. Well, begging about something at least. We still haven't finished the job with Libya, Korea, South America and the like. And the Vietnamese have been suspiciously, maybe threateningly, silent.

bad party
An ever-increasing proportion of America's own people don't want us there, either.
Between the fiscal conservatives who recognize that our intervention in the Middle East is a pure waste with no return benefit to our country, to peace demanders like most of us here; to those Americans who recognize that we need to stop intervening while our own country is busily burning to the ground; there's quite a few of us who have had it with all these worthless and ridiculous adventures.
We're the friend who's telling America: "This isn't our kind of party. Let's go home!"
Now if we could just get America -- you know, the bastards in charge -- to listen......

The 51st state wants the American military to stay
In fact they would like more bombing plus an additional 250,000 American troops inside Iran. There will be no peace in the Middle East until Iran is battered back to the dark ages.
There will be no peace in the Middle East
Ever.
It's time we Johnny-come-lately Americans figured it out -- and got the fuck out of there!

We’d have to replace all 100 senators and almost the whole House
People who have never resisted or said “No” to Netanyahu or his predecessors have zero credibility talking about resisting the Deep State, Trump, etc.
Not wanted at a party
At first I thought you meant the Democratic Party.
Your 1st thought was correct.
The Democratic Party doesn't want us and the Syrian Party doesn't want US.
