No good deed goes unpunished...

Thank you caucuss99percent for an earlier kindness: someone recommended a article of mine. That's how I discovered this progressive group of people. To punish the good deed, I hereby impose my latest work. Thanks again.

Thanks for your essay Mr. Behan. I read it earlier on
CounterPunch. Most excellent writing.

Welcome to cc99%
I read Counterpunch daily and liked the article in your link. I look forward to being punished by being able to read more of your excellent writing here on cc% and at Counterpunch.
Same here!
Thank you for sharing your talent with us and I look forward to seeing more wonderful essays from you.

I look forward to any insights you might share on why Sanders
played the Wimp card and has been crossing the country extolling Clinton on whose behalf, as you document, extensive cheating has taken place at Bernie's expense. Many here think a Green ticket of Sanders/Stein would have had significant appeal given the widespread disgust with the two establishment parties.
Any light you can shed on the misuse of the American military, and its junior partner NATO, on behalf of monopoly capital especially Big Finance and Big Petrol would fill in some blanks.
Thanks for linking your essay; it's nice to have the author here.
"The justness of individual land right is not justifiable to those to whom the land by right of first claim collectively belonged"
Looks like Assange agrees with you.
So are the next four years a duel to the death of the duopoly? One can only hope they slay each other and wake up the anger is an exploited populace.

Intelligence community is probably anti-Clinton now
She has been in flagrant violation of national security law and policy. Didn't even go to the mandated FBI security lessons,
endangered and even cost the lives of intelligence personnel in foreign countries through her uncaring callousness. I could go on but we all know the stories. In fact, the so-called soft counter-coup seems, if real, to be mainly run by the intelligence community.
If the public knew more about the Clintons' pedophilia, they not only would be politically doomed, they would be imprisoned Don't expect any of that to seep into the MSM.
Welcome aboard
a great read, though I'm hoping the clinton blitzkrieg can be stopped.

Thanks so much for your "punishment"
I would bet that quite a few here read Counterpunch on a regular basis - the venues that keep their viewpoint and their commentary divorced from party dogma (of either side) are few and far between and a lot of formerly respected "liberal" sites are going down for the count as they pay homage at Hillary's altar.
Welcome.

So when is your next article?
Thanks for posting
Great read and Counterpunch is one of my favorites.
Thank you for dropping by to punish us in this fashion.
Please feel free to do so often. That article made me finally break down and get counterpunch sent to my e-mail, so extra thanks for that.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
Critical Mass?
I am hoping that all the wrongdoing during this election will reach a critical mass and something will change. With millions of Bernie & Trump supporters seeing the mainstream media in collusion with the Clinton campaign, maybe there's hope. People resent being duped and if elected, Clinton will not have the support of the majority of people.
Wonderful article, thanks
This stood out
If Hillary was still getting paid to give speeches while this was happening then she broke election law.
What is documented in this article is the proof that she and the DNC stole the election and she is not the valid nominee, Bernie is.
She may be able to say that she is the first women president but we get to say that she had to cheat to become it.
But that fits into what the Clintons stand for.
That's the exact paragraph I had copied and ready to
paste here.

Welcome.
Thanks for posting your article. As has been said above, many of us read Counterpunch. We all seem to like essays that have facts to back up opinion rather than emotionalism. I guess that's because so many of us are so angry and disgusted at the political chicanery of our corporate masters. Please hang around.

Welcome, and will you marry me?
You'll have to have your own room, if not house because I, alone, sleep in my bed. But DAMN, that was a terrific article! (At first, I was gonna complain about your not including at least a paragraph in a blockquote - now I want to shave my legs, just in case you accept my proposal.)
Seriously, welcome; and excellent article! Thanks for sharing the link.
Lol, Deja
I honestly have come to think of you as a "feathered" member of the community.
Why, what on earth do you mean, Pluto's Republic?
It's my avatar, huh?
I've always pictured you with chicken legs.
It never occurred to me you could shave them.
Yr friend,
Pluto
Who wants hairy chicken legs? :P n/t
Edit: Harry might have hairy legs, but posting from a phone gave me Harry chicken legs. Damn you, auto correct!
Mr. Behan, you are a verbal surgeon
You cut right to the heart of the issue in a direct fashion. I admire that.
My favorite excerpt from the essay:
You might have added that she is one of those who protect their vested financial interest.
LOVED that article!
For me, this part stood out:

Great article. We need a gossip columnist of the 1%
Great article. What I appreciated was the reference to American Grand Strategies and Corporate Elite Networks and the link to article which revealed through Wikileaks a private gathering of "reporters" from national networks and publications with Podesta whose agenda was one of coaching and framing Hillary's announcement of her run for president. As we try to make sense of what we see and read, we are totally unaware of the intertwined hidden relationships of the 1% and what I call their "support staff" or maybe really "support classes" like media stenographers, corporate lawyers, etc.
For example, the daughter of the head of Planned Parenthood is a major Clinton campaign staffer. Or in the entertainment media. I watched one of the final clips of the Jon Stewart's program and he admitted he had been invited to the White House a number of times--this went a long way to explaining some of his programs. Hell, I didn't know that James Comey the head of the FBI sat on the Board of Directors of HSBC when they got their hands pinched for laundering money for murderous Mexican drug cartels. And the DOJ lead on that was Lynch who later became his boss at DOJ. Or a number of years ago that Barney Franks chief of staff became lead lobbyist in the fight against financial reform (read this from Taibbi).
Gawd, it does not end. I suppose to make sense of what is happening is to adopt what Gore Vidal once said about the dems and republicans. The real party they belong to is called the Property Party. And it has two branches. But still one party. And all these people are to be automatically assumed to be part of the Property Party. And that includes the support classes.
Added your piece to my disenfranchisement* list
This election season seems to have been extraordinary to me - I still can't decide if they are THAT good to have taken it to a whole 'nother level or if my eyes have just been opened.
And thanks for that Frank piece - I'd seen a lot of his other work in the past few months but had missed that.
