Mirage

Bent dreams

exceptional means

waking to betterment...

get up and go dreams of flight, fight

Honor

Lost in nightmares of old

regurgitated

cause we, we, we, we, we

know best

The invincible best

droning over

daring children to oblige

Large screen democracy

with voicemails dubbed in

sets built of corrugated

straw

Blow wind blow

don't vote, boo

hoo

Nightowls coo

boo, boo, boo

and boo some more...

voting is a chore

left today

"to those committed to making life better," Morgan says on TV in praise of Hillery

Hoot,

again into the night

believing sheep know not their plight

"Don't boo, vote"

breaks the dream of hope

No more

No more war

No more poverty

can't we at least agree
to this simplicity?

just confirmed this morning that the aortic valve must be replaced.
Spent the recent weeks in out-patient hospital testing; making sure.

Going to a surgeon next; maybe I should do a couple of surgeons.

Actually celebrating the fact we now have evidence of "why the dizziness and all."

I'm months behind in correspondence.

How are you?

c99p grows by the comment comforting me at a reading distance; seeing Doc and all the good folks hanging their coats here pleases me, my friend. Take a bow and an encore, Johnny. These is magic here.

I feel more at ease each day I've the opportunity to read the blues.

How you doing? Glad you enjoyed the poem; time better spent for me than watching the "Play" DNCinPhil disturbs.

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.

Feeling better tonight; thanks for thinking of me.

I'm going to my friends house down in the wilderness soon in hopes of bringing peace to their three dogs; a challenge as Sadie recently attacked Clyde viciously for no obvious reason; thankfully, Brono was kept at a distance.

Not that i can whisper, but the dogs know me as their sitter for a couple of years and Grandma and Uncle Graham did, by example, share some knowledge like blowing fire and removing warts and being calm with animals.

Can't hurt, give it a go.

How are you two doing? Think of you often.

of my favorite instruments, no less. Honestly, I didn't know these two dudes, but now they're bookmarked.

I seriously considered taking violin instruction 2-3 years ago, since I play every type of instrument, but string or percussion. I think that I would enjoy playing Cello even more than violin, since I have a great affinity for the lower register instruments (as reflected by the instruments that I play).

Anyhoo, I got sidetracked, and never followed through. And now, with family and business matters keeping us running back and forth so much, it wouldn't be practical.

I'm really looking forward to checking out all of these dudes' YouTube performances.

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that you've developed (or discovered) another medical issue. I was thinking not long ago, when you checked back in with us, that you had a 'heart scare' a while back. (Unless I've confused you with someone else.)

At any rate, I wish you the best. Please keep us posted, as things develop. I hope you find as good a medical team, as you seem to have had with your oncologists.

Have a nice time 'dog sitting.' Just being in their company can have a calming effect (on me). I make no claim to being a 'dog whisperer,' either; but, I couldn't imagine life without enjoying the company of at least one.

Biggrin

Take good care of yourself, and let us hear how you're doing, as you can.

Bye

Mollie

I recall sharing the news, I guess on the Blues, that aortic stenosis was confirmed. I've had so much going on healthwise that many of the symptoms were similar (masking) but a tell-tale sign is dizziness and a week after I returned home from Knoxville, I needed to get under my car to hook up a tow chain and when I stood, I was dancing like a Whirling Dervish.
Now I have somewhat conflicting science as an electrocardiogram says severe and the catheterization of last week says moderate, but my new cardiologist said the next time I see you, you will be a new man.
I have the birth defect kind of stenosis; having had a heart murmur all my adult life.
So I've been referred to a heart surgeon at Wake Forrest University with the instructions from my cardiologist to do what he says, replace the aortic valve now or wait a few months.
As I understand all this, once the valve calcifies and deteriorates to the point of causing symptoms, one must act as the prognosis of not doing anything is not good.
We have a summer get together of our ski school planned for Sunday, down the mountain on Lake James where the Linville Gorge wilderness ends.
Told my friends yesterday to look for a wild pig so as to get a good valve match. Smile

I enjoy blue tide risings.

In metaphor, just his morning the mountain Carolina Blue sky turned our necks for a second look, so rich and so blue.

I'm so glad your once again posting here. You are for me the spirit, heart and soul of cc99%. When I read your poetry, and writing or listen to the music I go to a better place within myself that i recognize as being human and healing. Take care and heal yourself as the world needs more of what you bring to it. The dogs you are going to help will be better off with some of your magic.

hoping to get a photo diary along with a narrative about my experience at camp Melton Hill and the wonderful, caring people and staff at Provision Proton in Knoxville, soon. Glad to see the daily open thread crew and EB producing good reads and music, as always; c99p is a special place.
