3/23 Open Thread- Cant Stop the Macedonian Signal and JtC Birthdays
Submitted by enhydra lutris on Sat, 03/23/2024 - 5:00amI'm still here......
Submitted by thanatokephaloides on Mon, 10/11/2021 - 10:53pmJust a short note to let everybody know I'm still here and following matters as best as I can.
I've been dealing with a few system hardware issues (laptop DC power jack issues) but I am still hereabouts.
A few spats about COVID-19 aren't enough to keep me away from here! c99's stuck with me unless and until Monsieur le Conqueroo throws me out!!

Submitted by mimi on Mon, 10/04/2021 - 2:27amIt is was with great sadness that I read about JtC's upcoming hiatus.
This site has helped me and I believe a lot of C99ers to understand the world around us. For that I wanted to express my sincerest gratitude.
I feel lost without both of you. May you both survive and recover and keep up your hope that one day we can live in a better world, with more justice and peace.
As I do not expect to hear back from you both, let me say that I will miss this site endlessly.
I come not to bury c99 but to praise it.

Medicare for All
Submitted by smiley7 on Wed, 09/13/2017 - 12:50pmMedicare for All is not single payer, so media or politicos using the term single-payer are wrong.
The insurance companies should be jumping at the bit for Medicare for all, a windfall bonanza of new Medigap plans that are profitable; in fact, competition in the Medigap market is fierce and healthy. Imagine 300 million paying the monthly premiums in such a program.
OT ~ Welcome to Saturday Morning!

where tin-dippers and
sweet water
in cool touches
meet lips
from hand dug wells.
Damn, lost that poem with a wrong move of one finger; anyways, a chameleon visited on the back porch this week, sharing colors.
