The whole basis for the argument of pressuring Hillary doesn't work for me. The DNC has made it crystal clear that they will crush anyone who runs for office and doesn't tow the party line, so where will the pressure come from to counter the enormous influence of the big money?

I only tuned in for Sanders' speech yesterday and
had to half listen while I played on the other computer to all the speeches that got moved up so he could be moved to last position. I have no intention to watching any of the rest of it at all. They are designed to support an agenda, not to detect who the perpetrators are. One of the frequently cited reports bases itself on a Washington Post article and the WaPo article bases itself on the report! Circular reasoning at its best.

I feel the same way! I gave more money to Bernie than I've ever contributed in the rest of my life combined. I feel like the DNC stole it right out of my wallet. The DNC is very likely to lose that lawsuit. I hope they have to pay back everyone who contributed to Bernie's campaign and punitive damages on top of that. That would be a fitting end to the DNC and the democRAT party.

i probably gave more money to Bernie than i did Obama. it was more than i could realistically afford but, like many others, i hadn't heard anything like i heard from Bernie my entire adult life. i wanted him to keep his message going as long as he could. he even bothered to come to our neck of the woods (read: desert) in the Coachella Valley. i was 30 feet from the guy and i'll probably never be that close to a presidential candidate ever again.
now, as far as this lawsuit, is it legit or just a bunch of collective whiners? i willingly gave my money to Bernie. i don't expect a refund because i don't feel he cheated me. however, if they are going after the DNC, considering the recent revelations, i think it might be something genuine and something to get involved with so i need to look into it some more.

The suit is against the DNC and Debbie Wassermann Schultz. It's my understanding both have already been served notice. Maybe tomorrow the rest of the Bernie delegates will walk, although I'm sure some may have a better relationship with local state parties that helps to smooth over problems with the DNC.
Either way, these are not the kind of losses that a candidate with Clinton's unfavorables can afford.
As someone else noted, however, it's telling that Trump's wife (#3) became the focus of coverage for a full day over plagiarism of one or two paragraphs, whereas this kind of stuff receives little to no coverage. If this had been at the RNC convention, this would have played into their narrative of a convention in disarray, in the case of the Dems, however, the press effectively repeats whatever line the Clinton campaign feeds them. e.g. it's only a few, not representative of a large number of voters; hard feelings will heal.
This presidential cycle has been incredibly revealing about the kind of biases that factor in to the way that major media companies cover domestic politics.

And why does it matter who leaked the emails that showed how the DNC screwed over the democratic process of voting by being behind one candidate while trying to discredit the other one?
This is on you, and you need to own up to it.
You knew that DWS was bad at her job of keeping both houses of congress instead of losing them.
You had to have seen the candidates she endorsed and had every one not mention your achievements or seen how she endorsed the weakest candidates knowing that they would lose to the republican one.
But I think that is what you wanted. That way you could hide behind the republicans blocking any progressive agenda that you didn't try to get passed when you had the majority. And you knew that you would need the republicans to help you fast track the TPP because too many democrats weren't in support of it.

never encouraged the voters to participate or had big registration drives. Preferred former republican candidates to progressive Dems. Deported more immigrants than any other president, hunted down more whistleblowers, drone killed more civilians, never, ever prosecuted any bankers or torturers. Would have offered up Social Security cuts, only the Republicans were too vicious to agree to them. A well behaved, oratorically gifted neoliberal oligarch supporter. No, I don't wish we could have another Obama term.
