Heads Up
Just got an email from Bernie or Bust. They aren't done yet. I will post the details tomorrow when I'm not on my phone. . They have a strategy to win or a deregistration party planned for July 28. They want volunteers to snail mail their letter to SuperDs in various states and provide an email to respond. Tim Black is in on this. Anyone else get the email?

Yes, it is not as fast as email, but the impact of a personally hand written letter is orders of magnitude greater than an email. I believe the Sanders campaign knows a thing or two about what influences public officials, and they know what works: a personally hand written letter is a thousand times more effective than an email.

This circus side show
of an election including Bernie is just the last straw for me. Okay I'm no longer a Democrat haven't been since 2012. Still my only reservation about the Greens is that they do not seem to want to be a major contender in the rigged political arena. I agree 100% with their agenda and policy but they just seem too content to not join the viscous fray that consumes all of our politics. Bernie had the same problem. Hey I care about her e-mails!
Hard to be content with getting 10% of the vote as a major accomplishment. On the other hand I'm game. Why o why cannot people organize and stop this shit? the very fact that Jill or Bernie will not take it on with a full throated rejection depresses me. Yes I'm voting for Jill. What choice do I have.
Still all these left wing so called insurgents like Bill McKibbin, Bernie and even the Greens need to quit acting like they are facing some kind of democratic choice and get up and tell it like it is. Jill does that but other then on Democracy Now why don't the Greens push their party to be a meaningful alternative. They really don't haven't ever always the crack pot spoilers. So I will vote for Jill but it's nothing but a protest vote. I want a real vote. One that gets counted and offers me some kind of actual representation other then the two evils that now are our only choice.
There are other options Shah, then voting for
politicians to make our decisions for us. That is not our only choice.

Nah, there will be a fight, already is, always has been.
It comes down to what the serfs are willing to do. I'd have to ask what people expect to accomplish by voting for politicians.
I probably shouldn't have brought it up, seems to be a Jill Stein thing going now after Bernie (A.B.) Let's just say I believe there are other options besides voting for a third party that has no chance. They're well documented and many people are working on them.

political systems, expanded representational systems, direct democracy initiatives, referendum processes, states rights, Article V conventions, etc. Gene Sharp's work is a good compilation of possible actions.

In the specific case of voting for Jill Stein, even if it only expresses the unwillingness of some of us to kowtow to the boss class, that's still much more that I, for example, could accomplish by "holding my nose and voting for Clinton" as many of my friends have exhorted me to do. I was trying to get that discussion jump-started. The future of the human race on a Planet still capable of supporting it properly depends on that species entirely kicking its boss addiction -- now.
This "representative" "republic" nonsense is getting us nowhere. The State is just not solving the problems we humans invented it to solve, yet it demands ever more of the prices we pay for it.

How we Bernie or bust the superdelegates & Philly update
This is a pre-Philly update on our efforts to make Sanders the nominee regardless of his endorsement of Clinton today. We are #StillSanders and will be until Clinton is the nominee. We have a few tricks up our sleaves.
We are writing letters to every superdelegate to make sure they know about our movement, and about a third of them have already received our snail mail letter. If they go ahead and vote for Hillary at the convention anyway, then they will not be able to blame us for President Trump should that end up the consequence of our 50 state "or bust" strategy. (More on "or bust" in the next blast, next week.)
If you would like to help out and send a letter that we already have crafted to superdelegates in your state, you will need Word to open and address the letter, a printer to print it out, envelopes, stamps and time to send 1-50 (however many you sign up for) of them out this week. Many are already done, so if you can and want to help with this effort, we need letters sent to superdelegates in CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, IL, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, ND, OK, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WV, WI & WY.

Tell him what state you're in and how many superdelegates you are willing to send our letter to.
We are also working with Black Men for Bernie on throwing a free concert and deregistration party on July 28th in Philly. Assuming Clinton is the nominee, then it's time to leave the Democratic Party and continue our revolution.

Make the deregistration one week earlier
And I'd be interested. But they won't take deregistration seriously until they see it happening so doing it on July 28th says you don't believe you can get enough people to leave the party to have an impact so are just threatening a move that after it's already too late won't matter anymore.
You get people leaving the party in the week leading up to the convention, you'll have power.

Nothing in the Democratic Party (of which I have been a member for more than 40 years) qualifies. The most powerful vehicle for expressing rejection of the Democratic/Republican duopoly on the progressive side of the political spectrum is to register as a member of the Green Party, and vote for Green candidates. That is how I am going.
