Trump

American Politics is like Syria minus Assad

Has US politics begun to sound to you like a South Front report on the war in Syria? [NOTE] Not sure what your party stands for anymore, or who is behind the IP poster child of the month? Not sure who is about to stab you in the back? Well, that means the Empire of Chaos's US operation is going according to plan.

Trump is not an idiot

Heresy! Gator--go back to the swamp. Well, communitarians, I have been exploring the swamp much of my life, and I can tell you is that you got your assessment mostly incorrect. Yes, Herr Drumpf's domestic policies are ruinous, callous, and environmentally destructive. Yes, his scheme for national privatization will fill the coffers of the 1%. This makes him a nogoodnik, not an idiot.

Clear and Present Danger

There's been a lot of talk from the farther left that Trump is a symptom and not the disease. That he is simply the next step in this unfortunate reality we face, an in your face representation of what this country has devolved into and that we should not focus on him like the democratic party is doing but on the bigger picture.

Is There Really a Gerasimov Doctrine?

A friend recently recommended that I take a look at an article by Molly McKew, "an expert on information warfare" entitled The Gerasimov Doctrine that was published by Politico last fall. The ominous subtitle of the piece is "It's Russia's new chaos theory of political warfare and it's probably being used on you." In the first paragraph McKew writes:

Some Very Smart, Shrewd Geniuses Agree, Trump is "a very stable genius”

Donald Trump has never been accused of over-modesty. His recent Tweet that he’s a “very stable genius,” however, seems over-the-top — batshit crazy, even for him.

Strangely, and for once, he’s actually right. Some very smart, shrewd people — Nobel Prize-winners, certified geniuses — agree with him. Read on, and here’s why they may be right.
