Question: Dying - Alone or With Your Loved Ones Holding You?

When looking back at my life and looking at myself right now, I try to figure out what hurts me more and will stuck with me probably for the rest of my life:

A. if I couldn't be at the side of my son, if he were in danger to die due to the virus infection or vice versa for him, if he could not be with me, if I were going to die or

B. keeping distance as requested by the authorities.

Here why I think about that:

WE Don't Want Your Stinking Cold War!

If you're old enough to remember what this meant. And what it still means today. It's about We the People, man. It's about human beings, we're all the same, except the bastards at the top that want war. Fuck them, Sleep with one eye open.

Midnight Special

We don't have this anymore. It's not the same. Somehow, society changed from progressive racial acceptance and tolerance to apathetic ambivalence.

I think it was disco. I liked the Bee Gees, hell were they talented. But shit, they went too far. We all went too far and now look.

Maybe we'll have another chance.

This is what I liked, this is what I believed. This is what I still believe. It never left me. It never left many of us. It's waiting to be reborn.

Resistance and Solidarity

Election fever season seems to be heating up to a level unprecedented in recent cycles and the hype is getting pretty thick relative to the significance of the election.

Not that you asked for my opinion, but, this is probably the least important election of my lifetime. That is not to say that other events are not consequential, we live in precarious times with the sands of change shifting under our feet. The thing is, it's quite unlikely that this election will make any difference in addressing the urgent situations that humankind is facing.

We have gotten to the point in the cycle where we can say that (excluding the occurance of a miracle) the winner of the election will either be an unhinged, deeply corrupt, war-mongering, McCarthyite, racist, austerity and globalization-promoting, fracking queen - or it will be an unhinged, austerity-promoting, tax-chopping, racist, ego-driven, narcissistic, climate-change-denying, loose cannon, con-man.

In other words, the Democrat or the Republican will probably win.

In this primary Stalin's quote is true, "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

I did not not think they would lose their composure so quickly but they muist be willing to risk it. Nevada was the turning point I think.

The tactics used there foretell what is coming. Look for it to get much worse. They fear the massive turn out expected at the Philadelphia convention and will make it clear that you go there at your own risk.
