There's concern about the food supply due to the war we've declared on Russia. Make no mistake, the US egged on this war, and with the sanctions, essentially declared war. Now we're going around the world threatening other countries to sanction Russia and provide arms to promote this war in Ukraine as long as possible. Perhaps this will be the death knell of this evil empire as country after country defies our demands. When you hear 'the world is on our side', they're talking about one third of the world. The other two thirds are supporting Russia or at least being neutral.
Afternoon folks!
I've got a bunch of albums for you this week. Blues albums from Buddy Guy, Big Mama Thornton and Albert Collins and some blues-rock from Blues Image, Captain Beefheart and a British band, Vinegar Joe.
I will have to upload the last track of Buddy Guy's album Saturday night, since Youtube thinks I should wait 24 hours before uploading it.
Enjoy!

Life sometimes feels as if one is living in a fairy tale or other work of fiction. Maybe because some of our favorite stories growing up were actually more complex than simply skipping down the yellow brick road.
A few articles of interest.
Effective Monday, April 11, The Dose will be suspended. It will be taken under consideration to reinstate if the pandemic flares up again.
If something happens that is covid/pandemic news worthy then folks can write an essay about it. We'll use the same parameters as The Dose, no covid/pandemic essays will be on the front page. The Dose was created in concert with our open discussion policy and as an effort to protect c99 from censorship or outright banning of the site, at least that's what the hope was in keeping it from the front page. I can't prove that the move worked but we (c99) are still standing, so there's that.
We also ask that members not discuss pandemic news in the open threads so as not to penalize the hard work our OT authors put into their essays. If you have something important to say please say it in an essay.
A huge thank you to our open thread authors for stepping up and publishing The Dose whether in agreement with it's content or not. All open thread authors were given the option to post or not to post The Dose and all, in accordance with our policy of tolerance for all sides of an issue, accepted the responsibility.
Thank you.
An open thread for gentle discussions of all things Covid.
Post All the Covid Things in this Thread!
