Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) has become my favorite political leader in the world. He's also one of the most popular politicians in the world, with an astounding 65% approval rating.

Some of these terms have made it into popular culture. Acapulco Gold, Michoacán Cream, Jarilla Sinaloa.
They've all gone away. These days it's Mexican custom agents that are making the drug seizures.

More than one Latin America leader has been overthrown and murdered for less than this.

On the same day that the U.S. imposed even more sanctions on Cuba, Mexico decided to send out ships full of food and medical supplies to the island.

Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) is no radical leftist by any definition. Personally I think he's a center-leftist at the most. But right-wing capitalists hate his guts just the same.

How things can change in just a couple weeks.
