Hellraisers Journal: Eugene Debs for the Appeal to Reason on the Crime Against Patrick Quinlan

While there is a lower class, I am in it,
while there is a criminal element, I am of it,
and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free.

Go Michigan!

Whomever you support in the primary, it’s difficult to deny that there is a correlation between turnout and results thus far. Where turnout has been better than 2008, Sanders wins. Where turnout has dropped less than 20%, Sanders usually wins. When turnout has dropped more than 20% Clinton always wins. This table shows the relationship between turnout and results thus far:

I'm Here, I'm the Queen, and I Call It

So how lucky can you little bloggers be that I have arrived at your little blog?

And how can I proclaim myself Queen?

I call it.

I am bringing back the age-old most primal power play in the book.

I encountered it as a child and frankly haven't found anything more ubiquitous in our grand culture.

I shall give an example.

I was probably around 7 or so, and my brother was around 13. We were playing Monopoly and I was winning.

DeBlasio mandates that NYC stand by its values

Mayor Bill DeBlasio today signed an executive order declaring that all city-owned buildings that have single-sex facilities would allow transgender people to use the facility of the gender with which they identify. That order includes schools, city offices, gyms and recreation centers, public parks and some museums.

People will not be asked to show identification or otherwise prove their gender, the city said, and employees will receive training to assist them in meeting the requirements.

The city’s public hospitals and public housing buildings, which are not technically covered by the order because they are run as independent authorities, have also agreed to implement the rules.

Today, the executive order will make loud and clear that New York City is a city for us all: cisgender, transgender, non-binary.
