The Chicago Tribune's Steve Chapman explains the problem with jokes about being transgender.
When I was a lad, I often heard jokes about blacks, Latinos and gays, who were regarded as amusing because of their supposed inferiority and defectiveness. Today most people would be embarrassed and offended by such humor. But, at least in some places, there is one group that is still a safe source of yuks: transgender people.

Report from Boise: Third of Five Part Series by Jacob Waldeck
Oh the wisdom I that have gleaned from the so called liberal blogs recently.
Scorched earth! He keeps this up and Hillary loses!
Ye gods, it's almost as if they had a popular and trusted candidate.
You must not talk about her negatives! You'll ruin the party!
I can almost feel the spittle wash over me as they type!
But, but you just hate Dems! Sexist! Misogynist!
She only did what Colin Powell did with his emails!
Hear the rumors about the incredible Debbie Wasserman Shultz (DWS--aka Down With Sanders) is about to be deposed from chairing the DNC, where she has done such a fantastic job of turning the Senate, Congress, innumerable state legislatures from Blue to Red?

Well, we'll see if Trump backs up his talk, but he says he would debate Bernie for charity BEFORE the California Primary:
First of all, it's a pathetic defense. It ranks up there with "He started it" and "It seemed like a good idea at the time."
Secondly, it just adds to an already weighty impression of arrogance and privilege.
Thirdly, and most importantly, it isn't true.
I just watched Hardball and my UAW president, Dennis Williams, endorsed Clinton. He said there were focus groups and surveys done and of course they all favored clinton. Not true. They did a survey a couple of months ago in all the work sites. Supposedly out of these surveys clinton was the winner. I don't believe that for an instant but I can't prove it other than what I was told by several locals presidents.
