HRC throws Wasserman Schultz under the bus

Hear the rumors about the incredible Debbie Wasserman Shultz (DWS--aka Down With Sanders) is about to be deposed from chairing the DNC, where she has done such a fantastic job of turning the Senate, Congress, innumerable state legislatures from Blue to Red? Some say that this idea is being floated as a trial balloon to see if this will mollify the Sanders campaign into prostrating themselves as the Queen approaches her Philadelphia Coronation and provide "unity" to the Democratic Party.

Certain phrases immediately come to mind about this move:
locking the barn after the cows get out
too little, too late
penny wise, pound foolish

If this is a trial balloon, it is one that is already leaking and will not fly. Does the DNC (which really means the HRC machine) really believe that having a bus roll over one of DWS's legs (not both, because this is only a trial) will mollify the Sandernistas? Ha ha ha.

Let us count the ways HRC has recently been courting the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party:
1. Inventing the false story of chair throwing and violence at the recent NV convention
2. Continuing calls for Bernie to drop out of the race because his campaign is "hurting" precious Hillary
3. The extremely like probability of election fraud in KY, where with 98% of polls reporting, having Bernie leading by 1000+ votes, suddenly to have HRC win by more than 2000 votes, all from just 2% of KY precincts.
4. Having her stooges go on at least 3 MSM talk shows, talking about Bernie being a "zombie" candidate because he's already lost but is still campaigning
5. Reneging a California pre-primary debate, a promise which she made in order to secure a pre-primary NH debate months ago.

This proposed sacrifice of DWS on the altar of party unity is just another example of Hillary's loyalty to someone who has outlived her usefulness. The parting conversation will be: "Sorry, Debbie, you've been a good soldier, but get the hell outta here--and don't let the door smack you on the ass".

To paraphrase Dorothy Parker, who paraphrased Shakespeare: Duplicity is duplicity is Hillary.

So whose boss is she? Obama is titular head of the Party, but walked away from that. Hillary seems to fill vacuums.

In a Parliamentary system, the Prime Minister is the leader of the majority (say Liberal) party; the Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition leads the Official Opposition, and and the Leader of the third, fourth, ... etc Parties leads, well, those Parties.

Mind you, in a Parliamentary system it is assumed that Party leaders also have their own House seats. Only very infrequently is it the case that a Party leader has no seat in the House.

So: Who is the "Leader" of the Democratic or Republican Parties? How is that defined?

When the other party holds the White House, it's the chair of the DNC or RNC.
For instance, right now Priebus, the chair of the RNC, is head of the Republican party.
When you yourself hold the White House, it's supposed to be the President.
Right now, Obama is supposed to be the head of the Democratic party.

That's my understanding, but I don't think these rules are written down anywhere.
And I'm not advocating for this set of customs. Just stating.

She' did what was planned - what she was supposed to do. Coming in now and firing her is just more theater. Criticizing her now is as well.

They probably think that firing her/openly criticizing her shows how 'on top of things' they are and makes a good gesture to the masses. This is a meaningless gesture. They used her and now they can discard her. The fact that they get to say things about her now and put on a show is just icing on the cake.

It would be like the Clinton's hiring a goon to rough up someone, and then walking over after it was done. They stand there, looking down on you, and pay this person for services rendered, and that person walks away.

They're not even going to help you get up. They are smirking to one another. And in an attempt to supposedly make you feel better, they say they are going to fire this person and talk about how it's bad what that person did.

DWS has been expendable for some time now. They got what they needed form her. They can easily discard this person and pretend that they are now 'doing the right thing'.

The sideshow they stage in getting rid of her and openly criticizing her now is/will be just another indicator of how stupid they think most people are in comparison themselves. It shows a complete disdain for the electorate. And somehow, we're supposed to idolize them, believe in them, trust in them, and have faith in their intentions and goals for disrespecting us.

I totally agree this is theater. The only thing I would add to this comment is that DWS will not be totally discarded. She will be rewarded in some way for playing the bad cop.

....yesterday, I heard a radio interview with former House Administration Comm. Chair (the "Mayor Of Capitol Hill" in D.C. slang) Bob Ney (R-San Quentin Prison) who went to the Big House in the Jack Abramoff bribery case. Ney feels that the Rethugs threw him under the bus (which they did, although he was guilty as sin, and readily admitted it again in the interview).

Interestingly, he also lit into Payday Wasserman Schultz. Ney said that the "real" DWS is even worse than her onscreen persona. He said that she is an uncompromising bully. She's vicious and arrogant. But on a bipartisan note, he said that she's equally disliked on both sides of the aisle. I guess that makes her the Dem version of Ted Cruz, doesn't it.

Anyone else notice the unleashing of all sorts of trial balloons in recent days? If they'd cared enough to listen before now, things would be verrrry different. They're not. Trial balloons signify fear that they're losing control. They are. The intel community, Obama, or whoever is orchestrating this drip, drip, drip to disqualify Clinton is taking the decision out of their hands.

The idea that Obama might be screwing with Hillary had, in all honesty, NOT entered my mind. One of the many reasons I would SUCK at being a politician is I don't see scheming behind every smile; But when confornted with this suggestion all I could think of was "Huh, would this be Obama's revenge?" Proof positive that either she:

  1. Loses; "See, I was always more electable."
  2. Wins, but is even more crippled than Obama ever was thanks to the CDS afflicting republicans as a whole (mostly due to HRC's neo-republican leanings. "See? It wasn't just that I was a black president."

Note that I really don't see a third option (Wins, but somehow is a decent president) -- the fact that there is ALREADY talk of a Clinton impeachment BEFORE SHE'S EVEN BEEN NOMINATED OFFICIALLY makes the edict to stall and obstruct Obama almost reasonable by comparison. Blum 3

(at a fundraiser, not open to the public), so I'm not sure that the dismissal of DWS--if it happens--is meant to diss, or disqualify FSC.

From what I've read, the Dem Party Leadership/Elites hope that throwing DWS under the bus will mollify Bernie supporters, so that FSC can get their support, and win the election.

Dunno. Guess time will tell.

Between the email server investigations and the coronation, looks like the DNCs rush to push out progressives is well explained, useful fools are cheap and easy to replace for a quick bump (read DWS), but it is the trail of disaster left in the wake of the Clintons that is difficult to erase. The winds must have shifted ... somewhere: triangulation antennas are spinning; possibly, wall street asked for some updated poll results for all their investment.

'What we are left with is an agency mandated to ensure transparency and disclosure that is actually working to keep the public in the dark' - Ann M. Ravel, former FEC member

The last data dump came from Louisville, so that would explain the Hillary votes. The ended up splitting the pledged delegates equally after all, so a half percent squeaker for Hillary means exactly the same thing as a half point squeaker for Bernie, except for bragging rights.

And Bernie did exceptionally well in KY, a closed primary border state that Hillary romped in against Obama.

If all I wanted was schadenfreude I could get my biggest bang for the buck voting for Trump. That would power the entire planet if you convert schadenfreude into electricity.

And outside of a quick hit of schadenfreude I couldn't care less about whether DWS stays in her position or fails up.

It doesn't look good for DWS to go straight from the current position to Hill's Cabinet, so she takes a few months off. Then will be appointed to the Cabinet.

They're all assuming Hill will win, of course. If she loses, the joke's on DWS.

It was only a matter of time that she would outlive her usefulness, even though that time came and went more than four years ago.

However, it was only a matter of time before the DNC would get rid of DWS as a show of good faith to progressives. When you have Kos calling for her ouster, you can get a feeling that the party can no longer take the heat from liberals by continuing to have her on as chairman. It's purely symbolic, and the machine will replace her w/ another party stooge.
