Bisbo's recent desert treatment spurred me to finally rouse myself from my typical lethargy.

I was just reading a thread there and a Hillary supporter was crowing about googling for Bernie and SEC investigation and getting over 170,000 hits. Thought it was interesting so I googled Hillary FBI and "got about 40,500,000" hits.
Bernie quote I just heard:
"This country has socialism for the rich and rugged independence for the poor." Might of been him quoting FDR...
I used to write stuff like this at the Dreaded Orange Shitcan..well, I'll be writing them here instead. My only regret is that my followers over there won't know about it. And I'm still on 30 day suspension there so I can't let them know. In any case, shall we begin?

This group piece is cross-posted from a special group collective piece begun and posted by the wonderful UnaSpenser, an Anti-Capitalist Meetup administrator at TOP. The introduction and first contributor portion are by UnaSpenser. After her leading portion are the contributions of other Anti-Capitalist Meetup group administrators who were able to participate. We hope you will join us if this is your cup of tea every Sunday night at 6 pm Eastern Time.
If you had asked me a year ago about geoengineering, I would not have known what it was. If you had asked me about chemtrails, I could've told you what they were but I would not have been convinced that they were really a thing. They seemed like one of those conspiracy theory subjects that were a vague cause for worry but not yet a proven problem.
This is an excellent column by William K. Black, found here: http://neweconomicperspectives.org/2016/05/stop-calling-deals-help-ceos-.... It's the second in his response to N. Gregory Mankiw's column in the New York Times, “The Economy Is Rigged, and Other Presidential Campaign Myths.”
Some highlights and hopefully, I'm not violating fair use rules here:
NC Gov. Pat McCrory was interviewed on NPR the other day and managed to express the idea that passage of Hate Bill 2 was the fault of transgender people.
If we had not pushed for equal rights and access to public accommodations, then conservative forces would not have been forced to take them away from us.
He and other conservatives were also vehemently upset over AG Loretta Lynch's comparison of the current state of affairs to Jim Crow.
I made a small contribution today (Sunday 15 May) at jill2016.com in honor of her 66th year. I wish her a success of 1 million votes in General Election this year, even as I'm not giving up on Bernie.
