I am figuring out my hourly cost

Now being a Taker, a good citizen for 63 years. Now being in negotiation with people like attorneys who want over $300/hour. What is my existence worth?

On the upside, I was paid for over 30 years by you, taxpayers. I was an NIH-trained scientist and paid through the majority of my worklife by federal monies. A few charities thrown in. I paid that societal debt by being underpaid for my service. At most, I hovered close to $50/hour for a few months toward the end.

Feeling The Bern In Person!

I’m finally going to get to #FeelTheBern in person tonight in Bakersfield, CA! I know Bernie’s rallies are always YUUUUUGE, but I am selfishly hoping that this particular rally will be sorta small so I will have a chance to get up close and to meet the man himself and thank him for being such a fighter for the 99%!

#SheLied

To debate Bernie in New Hampshire Hillary promised to debate him in California, then backed out. #SheLied

Hillary claimed the Hillary Victory Fund supports State Democratic Parties but she & DNC kept 99% of the cash. #SheLied

Hillary's ad took all the credit for winning health care for 8 million kids, but Ted Kennedy was mostly responsible for that. #SheLied

About caucus99percent and issues

Good morning folks.

This is a response to a comment by TomP that was made in another essay last night. I tried to post it as a reply several times but would not post in the proper nesting so I gave up, but I think it is important so I'll post it now.

Here's Tom's comment (he's speaking about c99p):

I hope it will grow also.

The Federal Records Act, FOIA, and those pesky Email "Records"

Perhaps one of the harshest critiques hurled at presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, by the current State Dept Inspector General, was this:

"At a minimum, Secretary Clinton should have surrendered all emails dealing with Department business before leaving government service and, because she did not do so, she did not comply with the Department's policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act."

Any Government Employee knows (should know) that everything you do as a Government Employee IS, and one day will (presumptive) become 'a permanent' Public Record. That is what the National Archives is all about. This is because you are working on the public's dime, so the public "has a right to know" what you are actually doing. In theory anyways ... that is what the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is supposed to be all about -- the public's "right to know" ... holding our Government "accountable", ... Sunshine is the best disinfectant, etc. etc.
