Having been an artist all my life I really enjoying putting together decorations. Living in an apartment can be challenging because of limited space so I decided the perfect things to decorate were my kitchen table and my plant.
A transgender man, identified in court documents only as John Doe, is challenging an Indiana state law requiring him to produce proof of citizenship in order to obtain a name change.
The suit, filed in US District Court for the Southern District of Indiana in Indianapolis claims the law
discriminates against him because of his noncitizen status and violates his freedom of speech and privacy to protect his gender identity.
The ACLU and Amnesty International have begun a "Pardon Snowden" campaign.
One of the many difficulties with being a natural person, as opposed to an institution or a corporation, is that conception is terminal. Sooner or later, we all die. And, it seems that every generation has to learn anew about politics and politicians. Yes, we have taken some received knowledge from our elders, but part of being human in the U.S.

I worked in radio a couple of decades ago, in a great big state with a tiny population, during the emergence of monolithic RW rage-ee-o. RWradio was clearly going to be a powerhouse, I could tell from the tension it awoke in my stomach. It was also clear that it was going to be overlooked by the young folks, my age and younger. I mean, who listens to talk radio? Who? Well, the listeners were people my parents' ages.
Deep democracy must be for all in equality or it is for no one. There is no room for the white supremacy that underlies not only much of U.S. past but also much of U.S. present.
