Last week Navy Lt. Blake Dremann became the first openly transgender service member promoted since the ban on transgender service was lifted.
Dremann gathered, along with his parents, friends, some admirals and other officers and representatives of some advocacy groups in the President's Room at the Navy Memorial.
So we have come to the anniversary of Occupy Wall Street. Big Al mentioned it in an essay already.
Have all those thousands who participated, not just here in the US, but around the world, gone underground and dropped out of any attempt at change? Nah.

The latest polls around Green Party candidate Jill Stein are all over the place lately.
The Good
The latest poll out of Missouri (Emerson) shows a spike in Stein's poll numbers to 6%, up from 1%-3% in all previous polls. For comparison, Libertarian candidate Johnson is only at 7% in Missouri in the same poll--so Stein has basically caught up to the Libertarians there.

Deep within the prison’s secretive recesses, over the years some of its prisoners met with death, most supposedly via suicide. But the circumstances of these deaths were shrouded in mystery and government censorship.
there are too much emotions displayed here that are hard to digest for my guts. So, I am going away for a while. May be I get back to have a date with my camera. I might just visit the kinder, nicer places here and lurk. There is a lot to love in here, but I can't take the rest.

While I disagree with his slant regarding Clinton, Trump is obviously deplorable.
For me the most deplorable thing about him is his science denialism, as our planet just can not afford to feed into all those crazy fuckers who want to replace science with Christian fundamentalism.
I haven't decided how I'll vote.
Looking at all that has happened and continues to happen this election cycle is deplorable.
