Having Fun With Decorations: Street Prophets Thursday Coffee Hour
Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. Having been an artist all my life I really enjoying putting together decorations. Living in an apartment can be challenging because of limited space so I decided the perfect things to decorate were my kitchen table and my plant.
Reid really loves sock monkeys so I have several ones I made for special holidays. Rarely will the way I decorate be the same two years in a row. Since the leaves are falling I decided it was time for Autumn to be set up.
Autumn
I added silk leaves to my plant. All of the plants and flowers in my house are silk since Pixie eats the real ones.

Christmas
I wasn't able to get the tree up last Christmas and all of the decorations. Having moved a couple months earlier and having been ill much of the time I didn't have the strength to try and assemble the tree. This Christmas I hope to go all out.
Here is the table for last Christmas.

Reid wanted a tree so when I found this it became our Christmas tree.
Of course I decorated my plant.
Valentine's Day
I wrapped the plant in Valentine's ribbon.

St. Patrick's Day
Shamrocks were perfect for the plant.
I brought my collection of Irish dolls from the bedroom to put on the table. And of course we have Irish sock moneys.
Easter
I knew plastic Easter eggs would come in handy.
I have fun with the Easter table. I agree that the Darth Vader with bunny ears is wrong in so many ways which is why I love it so much.
Fourth of July
Lots of red, white, and blue stars decorate the plant.
Reid asked for an Uncle Sam sock monkey.
Summer
I thought a summer theme would be nice. I have collected see shells for many years.
Halloween
Come Halloween I'll add my vampire sock monkey to the Autumn collection.
In addition to a couple more stuffed animals.
Thanksgiving
This is Eagle my favorite sock monkey. Being part Cherokee I am aware of how much the Cherokee nation helped the white settlers to survive when they came to this country. Eagle becomes part of the Thanksgiving decorations that are added to the Autumn table.
I have just started to receive the first of the many bills from my July hospitalization for pneumonia. Needless to say I can't pay these. Any help you can provide by buying my art and jewelry and scarves would be greatly appreciated.
You can find prints of my artwork and photography on my Fine Arts America account.
You can find my jewelry for sale here.

I spent 8 days...
in the hospital in 2013 with acute pneumonia and septic shock, 3 days in ICU, and a liter of fluid drained from my lungs later, I got a wonderful bill for about 30K, after my wonderful health insurance insurance paid about 20K. They had the gall to ask me to "please pay within 30 days"...or else...

Sounds Like My Place
I was in for 5 days with pneumonia and severe complications from COPD. I only have Medicare so now need to try and come up with the rest of the money that Medicare won't pay.

I'm not going to waste my time
with "bad" debt. Even if one pay's it off, the credit report still reflects, even the pay off, as essentially bad, because paying off the bad debt, doesn't remove the bad debt "mark" from one's credit report. The note that the bad debt is paid off doesn't really help, because it still skew's the "credit score" unfairly.
