Morning EL
Nice selection today.
Liked the ones at the top especially.
You could have gone with "Charlie Brown" by The Coasters as well.
The song I'll add relates to yesterdays George Winston comments.
Iconic Vince G as played by George.
As always...have a nice day all.
I want a Pony!
Good moring, Arrow. As I was doing the history, birtsh, etc.
part, I saw Schultx and immediately thought I'd include him and use Charlie Bown by the coasters, but when I went to do it, I realized that I've use the Coasters a lot (relatively speaking) and that "Peanuts" is rarely heard, little known, and more or less started the whole falsetto r&r thing, so I went that way instead.
Thanks for dropping in.

Good morning all
Another sunny day in my corner of the world. Usually we're getting our winter rain now, but it is dry! I plan to burn my lower field (about 10 acres) this week to promote next year's wildflowers. Otherwise the grasses dominate and trees come in...the forest is the normal ecosystem.
I wish I had seen the Chestnut dominated forest of 100 years ago. When I lived outside Boone NC, there were giant Chestnut trunks still laying on the ridge tops. I've heard that there is a large surviving Chestnut tree in nearby Walker Co. GA, but I've not seen it. We have a few Chestnut relatives on our place...the Chinquapin.

Wish you all the best...

Same here for the chestnuts
Rain overnight, slight snow dusting on the decks this morning. Heard a few gun pops at 7, deer hunting is going on, and I may have an unannounced hunter. Still trying to track that one down. Less deer hunting pressure than in years past here on the Hill.
Rumor has it it may improve to sunny, but chilly today. Another downward deflection in my health improvement. A good Sunday to those who get one.
Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Good morning, Lookout. That would indeed have been
spectaular. In a similar vein, I really regret never seeing the San Joaquin valley filled with the majectic Valley Oaks (quercus lobata). Thanks mucho for the Dylan.

Domo arigato, nice playlist for today. Domo.
Saturday news dump? MexicoNewsDaily: Agency invalidates Monsanto GM permit
Go MX, maybe they can revive their native corn industry too. Their headlines are full of horrible violence and corruption, just like here but more violent. US government is stupid to build a wall, we should be helping them not hurting them. Don't be stupid.

Tower Commission Report Excerpts
That reads like "figure out how to control all opposition", mostly. Goal achieved (except for a few dumb contractors like Booz-Allen, still on the job). NSA had 93,000 contractors under pay when Snowden left. Duh.

That is quite some page of EO's, look at the revocations. wow, now I'd like to compare how many the Ds undo like the Rs once they trade positions. 1993 page not found. lol
1994 ... (jeopardy music) ... Revocation (1). Yep, thought so. "Don't look back" (unless you're forwarding the war pig agenda)
Edited to add: about half of the EOs that Ronnie revoked, because jhfc he goes back to 1907!:
Yeah I stopped at the 40s, so it is only about one fourth of the revocations he signed in one swell foop. /jawfloor
The thought of Katherine Harris gives me a stomach ache. Good time for some calming tea and music. Happy Sunday.
PEACE
Good morning, eyo. It's good to see Mexico stepping up to the
plate, but the WTO will probably beat up on them for it. The WTO really needs to be eliminated or reined in.
Can't help but wonder how much the CIA hid from the Tower Commission.
