Hoping this is good news, I find it important to contemplate that elections themselves, especially in countries where women can vote, are such a contrast to Saudi Arabia's total dictatorship. Even if Iran is not a democracy, it has moved in the direction of becoming one, or so it seems.
Thanks for posting this! Hopefully, there will be no interference and imposition of fundamentalist/'strong-man' rulers and Trump/the Psychopaths That Be will also be prevented from attacking them or any more countries/legitimate elected governments and their people.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.
A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
With some one reasonable in nominal charge of Iran, the American government must clearly squash him (hint, hint, to CIA) as only in the imposition of a more war-like leader, can we hope to get Iran to strike first during military displays of US force around Iran's seacoast.
