Hey, C99ers. I hate to ask, but I need your help.

I hope this does not violate the terms of use here, but I face a serious dilemma.

Yesterday, I received an email that shocked me to my core. Honestly, I cannot recall another episode in my 58 revolutions of the flat earth that has affected me so greatly. Being a rather smug, sarcastic, even arrogant person, it was and is my habit to recognize a challenge or serious issue, to rise up, to face it, and to confront it and to deal with it head on, but always on my own.

Unfortunately, I am ham-strung on this one. I really do not know how to respond. It pains me to say so, but I am simply incapable of dealing with this issue, at least on my own. So, with hat in hand, meekly, and with great respect to both olde and new acquaintances here, I simply ask that you hear me out, and if you find some fountain of empathy, morality, concern for your fellow human, that you help me out on this problem. You cannot imagine just how important your support and suggestions will be on this issue. And I doubt that you can fully comprehend how hard it is to ask for help, especially on such a sensitive and mind-blowing topic.

Just writing this plea for help gives me more stability, more hope, and dare I say it, merely publishing my request here seems to be an answer to my prayers. To those who have read my works on religion, organized or not, here and at TOS, I would guess that the image of me praying simply reflects how desperate my situation truly is.

You see, this email I got contained very, very shocking news. I simply do not know how to respond. So, the best thing would be for me to just reprint the email, and let you kind and dear folks decide if you want to or if you even can help. Here it is. The most troubling words will be in bold. Oh, and please, no nasty or cutting remarks. This email disturbed my sense of reality so much, that honestly, I could not handle the additional stress, so please be kind, and please help me. Please.

Friend --
I will be honest.

Did you see that last week, Bernie’s campaign manager said they will “100 percent, absolutely” push for a contested convention in July -- even if Hillary holds onto her big lead in the popular vote?

There’s only one way to stop that from happening: build an insurmountable delegate lead. To do that, we need a strong result in New York one week from today -- but this is an expensive place to compete, and we were outraised by $14 million last month.

I'll be honest: This is one primary I really want to win.

Thanks,

Robby

Robby Mook
Campaign Manager
Hillary for America

She even said it twice. Imagine Hillary or Robby Mook actually being honest. Frankly I am at a loss. Please, folks, please help me deal with the trauma those words caused me and help figure out an appropriate response,

I thank each and every one of you in advance, and cordially and with high hopes that you can help, I remain,

Very truly yours,

Pastor Agnostic.

I think they are honestly afraid that Hillary is not so loved in her 'home' state and they are behind in funds.

If you feel (in your heart) that you want to give them peace and love, sure, send them a $14M challenge grant. Or $27, or an i.o.u.

By your choice of tags, I finally got the point of the essay. Yea, you had me going. Thought you were having some sort of life crisis. Fucker. Smile

Off the top of my head...

Thanks for reminding me to send Bernie Sanders another $100."

"Dear Robby,
Sorry you didn't email me sooner, I just sent Bernie another $100, and I'm tapped out until July. Can't talk now. Busy phone-banking for Bernie Sanders. Good luck anyway."

"Dear Robby,
If there's anything I can do other than contributing, phone-banking, or canvassing, count me it.
You see, I'm already very busy contributing ($$$$), phone-banking, and canvassing for Bernie Sanders for President.
Best of luck,
PA

"Dear Robby,
You slimy motherfucker. How can you work for that war criminal? How do you go home at night and tell your kids you're working for a candidate whose sole purpose in life is to enrich herself at the expense of anyone who isn't a millionaire or billionaire? Have you no decency, man? Have you no self-respect?

Respectfully Yours,

That should be enough to work with for now, PA. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.

There is a drive-by sighting on Interstate81, southbound, somewhere after the first US exits off to Clayton and Alexandria Bay and the next one to nothing, of three enormous (6 feet high) steel crows, in varying crow positions, in a field. They are so realistic that there is an altered perception of size and space. I have never gotten a good picture, but know who the steel sculptor is. Holy moly.

PA, I recommend chocolate, and large doses of it. It worked against the Dementors in Harry Potter and I think it will work in this case. The parallels are very similar.

So sorry you had to go through that.

What I do with ongoing solicitations from the DNC is put “ZERO” in the donation blank and include a note such as: “We are on to you! I'm donating to Tim Canova and Bernie now!” I add “Ha ha!”to the little plea on their return envelope, begging that I save them postage by putting a stamp on it, and send it back to them. Petty, puerile, and extremely satisfying

But, I just could not do it.

What gets you the nomination - the popular vote or delegates?

gets you the nomination?
1. Owning the DNC and having your pet puppy running it.
2. Have the corporate media make sure they don't cover the Democratic Socialist. At all.
3. Have the state parties rig the system so that even if you lose you win.
4. Have your owners stuff millions in your campaign war chest.
I'm sorry, popular vote or delegates? Depends on which one will deliver the goods...

Then joo get the delegates
Then joo get the POWER.

I'm pretty sure that's how Hillary "Scarface" Rodham Clinton thought it was supposed to work.

Hillary Rodham determined that she would be POTUS, first female, back in college. From that perspective all of her good deeds were resume stuffing, including marrying a power-hungry Arkansan and then step, step, stuff, stuff to get to be "most qualified".

Like most of us, I can't imagine wanting that position. It takes a special sort to claw the way through, unless one is (un)lucky enough to be dragged into second and then have something bad happen at the top.

Sanders is different, he sees us beside him, and is almost a reluctant figure, a self-sacrifice.

All the people who should have the position run away from it like the wise individuals they are. All the power-hungry selfish people who should never be allowed near the presidency run toward it because "POWER - FOR MEEEEEE!" Its an extremely rare bird who is morally qualified for the presidency and also willing to sacrifice their sanity and peace of mind to try to be elected. That bird is Bernie right now - but they don't come around very often.

I'm sure he or she would love Hillary to win, otherwise this guy wouldn't be a member of the campaign.

Or maybe Mook is lying, and couldn't careless who wins the presidency, so long as it isn't Bernie. I suppose that much of the professional class doesn't care who's in the White House in 2017.

Hillary wants to be president for her own sake.
