Fighting in the Street--Why did the police hold back?

Charlottesville and before it, Berkeley, were the scenes of bloody confrontation. In the former instance a premeditated murder (or manslaughter with reckless indifference) occurred. In the latter, one example was a demonstrator being hit in the head by a University Professor with a bicycle lock and chain.

This is the Summer of Hate, about which I wrote only a few days ago.

Two groups come together of angry young persons on the streets of a major city. One group wears black and helmets as a uniform. The other group wears hardly anything. There is no attempt made nor sought to reason with each other. The purpose is clear and simple: beat the crap out of the other side. The message believed by each group is to teach the other group a lesson, i.e., beat some sense into their heads--by beating their heads.

That quote is the obvious, overt, undisguised message of these clashes. But this is far deeper. A sinister covert meaning and intent.

One of the chief, if not the prime, provocateurs of this is George Soros and his purple revolution. George is used to buying his way to get what he wants. His personal wealth could probably equal the bottom 4 or 5% of the population's combined wealth. But, no matter what proportion of his money equals what, it is no secret that this Open Border Oligarch wants to promote obliteration of nations, all nations eventually. He is not the only one pulling strings in this affair but he certainly is the most prominent one.

In my opinion Soros is hedging his bet, by encouraging both sides to conflict. There are plenty of neoliberal Oligarchs (old term: robber barons) anxious to get in on the action. Some are from the "left" (there are no leftist Oligarchs) and some are from the right (Republicans, Neocons). Many in fact, being denizens of Wall Street are, like Soros, hedging their bets by backing both sides.

Then comes Charlottesville.

At Berkeley, police did not intervene until considerable, but relatively minor, bloodshed had occurred along with the ritual dumpster fires. My opinion then was the same as my opinion now.

Soros, along with his elitist posse, seeks to divide and conquer this country politically in order to weaken any backlash to their NWO dreams. The Berkeley police intervened only when the risk of significant property damage started to develop. Can't have that, can we?

In the meantime, between initiation and quelling, lots of people got hurt. The elites didn't care who or how many. Fomenting of mutual hatred by the clashing groups was the aim. In that aim it succeeded.

Now a few flare-ups of violence or near-violence had flared up after Berkeley but not enough to achieve divide and conquer, which I might abbreviate to D'nC, but such acronym might prove too confusing.

Ant then along comes the planned white supremacist rally in CV (Charlottesville). No surprise there. No sirree. None. Counter-protesters had plenty of time to arrange their counter-rallies before the actual demonstration--and they did not waste any time in so doing.

Many WS (white supremacists) were carrying assault rifles and wearing bullet proof vests. Ready for action! Bring it! The action came. Was the confrontation foreseeable? Absolutely. The CV police were already assembled near the focal point in full riot gear. They should have intervened at the first sign of violence but they were restrained by the mayor.

The restraint of the police was without a doubt politically motivated.

The sheer violence and extremism on display in Charlottesville shocked the nation, and politicians all over the spectrum issued strong condemnations of the rally.

Foremost among them were Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Democratic Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer.

McAuliffe issued a strong denunciation of the alt-right and the rally violence on Saturday, telling white nationalists there was “no place for you in America.”

Signer sought to place the blame for the alt-right rally on President Trump, declaring that the supposed empowerment of racism “goes right to the doorstep of the president and the people around him who chose to dance with the devil in their presidential campaign.”

Yes, you read that correctly. Terry McAuliffe, BFF's with the Clintons and briber of FBI's Andrew McCabe, speaking out against the entirely foreseeable violence which was also entirely capable of being nipped in the bud. So he declared a state of emergency, bringing in National Guard and the authority to disband even permitted demonstrations and counter-demonstrations. The Guard was there. The cops were there. But no action occurred until a white supremacist deliberately, with malice aforethought, smashed into the counter-protestors--not the WSs.

When the alt-right rally was mostly dispersed, police still seemed a missing presence in the city as the leftists kept demonstrating, some armed with aluminum bats and other weapons. This is the scene where the white nationalist drove his car through pedestrians, with police seemingly far away from the action.

Okay, that's going too far for even McAuliffe to stomach. So he kicked Signer in the ass, prompting Signer to unleash the protect-and-serve bunch on the lot of them.

This police lack of action was noticed by others at the scene:

“There was no police presence,” Brittany Caine-Conley, a minister-in-training who protested the alt-right rally, told The New York Times. “We were watching people punch each other; people were bleeding all the while police were inside of barricades at the park, watching.

At the “Battle of Berkeley” in April, Trump supporters and antifa were able to brawl for a whole Saturday with nary a cop in sight.

Here is what stooge mayor Signer had to say, in true HRC fashion, admitting no fault on his part for the violence his police were restrained from suppressing earlier (source).

Signer said that there’s two words that need to be said repeatedly, “domestic terrorism” and “white supremacy.”

He said he wasn’t seeing leadership out of the White House, but cities like Charlottesville would take the lead.

What the American people were seeing was not the invisible hand of Trump himself (though definitely some of his supporters). What the American people were seeing is precisely the lack of action on the local level--commencing with Signer himself.

Here's my take on this. By allowing the pre-determined bloodshed to occur, Stigner and perhaps McAuliffe were attempting to use this against Trump for purely political means. Like all neoliberal, they don't give a damn about the people on either side who get maimed or killed. They just want to take down Trump.

I don't like violence.
I don't like Trump.
But the cowards McAuliffe and Stigner who allowed the death(s) to occur, I hate. Note, two police observers died when their helicopter crashed.

These fiascos, pre-planned by the Soros gang, were allowed to progress precisely with the aim of overthrowing Trump. If they want to impeach Trump, then do it.

Stop putting our citizens at risk for your political gains!

Everybody hates them, so of course there will be violence.

In the WBC example, they sue anybody who attacks them, and live off the proceeds.

In the Nazi example, they get LOTS of attention, and the pigs get to swoop in and save them if the mob gets organized.

This is why people shouldn't allow themselves to hate, ever. It blinds you to what is really going on.

"Don't let the bastards turn you into one of them" - Umair Haque

Seems appropriate here. More like how MLK and SCLC and SNCC dealt with these bastards in the 60's.
Remember they were murdering people and bombing churches. You can study the movment's response to those.

Always give your best, never get discouraged, never be petty; always remember, others may hate you, but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them, and then you destroy yourself.

...... and one ranter outside the local Courthouse loudly blamed the city government, the local police (so far so good), and the radical left (??!!??) for the Charlottesville violence!

The radical left ??!!??

I'm sorry, but anything in George Soros' ilk hardly counts as "the radical left"! We aren't to blame because we weren't there!

And let's face it: there are some messages that simply should not be preached in public!

protests with right wing and Antifa and followed a couple links to a couple articles in a Berkeley local paper before the protest happened. There was a big comment section and people were naming names, talking about exactly what was going to happen, who was going to start the violence and how, etc., regarding Antifa and the right wingers, who I think included the same dude in Charlottesville, Richard Spencer. And that's exactly what happened. They knew it, the cops knew.
I think these same small "opposing" groups are going around the country and instigating this shit.
Anyway, can't do it justice and don't have the links, but suffice it to say, these are small groups with agendas and it plays well with the pigs and the media because they get to do their "thing".
Then it makes headlines and everyone is talking about it, saying there's going to be a CIVIL WAR OMG! and the police state tightens it's grip on our scrawny little necks.
Or something like that.

@Big Al Richard Spencer. He's bankrolled. Pardon my cynicism, or not, it's the smelly Nazi hand of George Soros filling pockets on both sides to foment the desired result--and it is working!

Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?

I said as much in a previous comment. TPTB knew damn well that the WS were coming and they not only let them come, they wanted them to come.
Every agencies in this country had been their eyes and were using their tools of surveillance on them.

The only way I can think of to not let TPTB get their wishes is to let the WS have their little rallies and the people who disagree with them should stay home.

This is the type same thing when we used to say, "what if they threw a war and no one fought in it?"

For two days now, no one is saying anything about how Russia interfered with the election. This deflating bullshit has been wiped off people's radar. This is just a little too convenient for me to think that this is random.

Great essay. For an alligator.

ETA: sorry, I didn't see the part where you said that both sides are being funded to fight each other.

Now the Dems have to go with Plan C: impeach Trump. And this is just not going to happen. After that the empty shell that DemonRATS have become will be obvious to all--including brain-washed HillBots. HillBopts are getting closer to their Little Big Horn--and I wish them all the good fortune that befell George Genocide Custer on that fateful day.

@Alligator Ed
what they are going to be focusing on now is Muller's fake investigation into Trump's ties to Russia. This is what many members of DK have been doing since he was assigned to the investigation.
They don't remember all of his sins that they used to call him and people like him in other agencies.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they started thinking that Cheney wasn't such a big dick after all.

I've seen repeatedly anti-Soros screeds here and elsewhere.
I get part of it. He's a fucking billionaire. And..he supports neoliberals.
OK. Fuck that guy.
But..he's also anti-fascist (maybe only on paper, I don't know, like I said excuse my ignorance).
Maybe if someone could provide a little bit of, I don't know, journalistic backup for why I should hate this guy and by how much?
Here, let me give you an example: Henry mother-fucking Kissinger. Evil. Quantifiable. Reported in depth. With examples.
I've not seen the same sort of stuff on Soros. But it seems to be a given that he's in the same league as HK. Links? Thanks in advance.

@peachcreek First of all he was Nazi collaborator as a teenager, who turned in fellow Jews to the Gestapo and SS. On a CBS interview he said he had no qualms about that.
In one day, Soros said something in the U.K., I don't know what, which caused the pound to lose lots of value, hurting many people but he walked away with a billion and smiles.
He bankrolled the Nazi takeover of Ukraine, ousting a democratically pro-Russian president and started a civil war in order to do that.

Those are just some of the highlights. Go to Google and you'll find literally thousands of posts about this Jewish Nazi. Sieg Heil, George.
