a story. Very near Portobello Road in London--where one could spend the day drifting among antiques--a movie theatre played Once Upon in the West 24/7, no other movies and it was packed for most performances, day and night. This was in the mid-seventies.
I pondered about it then and I ponder about it now.
speaking of Ennio Morricone, I just finished watching The Hateful Eight. All I'll say is Morricone's score is great and there's some damn good acting in it, but Quentin Tarantino is one twisted SOB.
We did s spoof of spaghetti westerns in my youth; lots of fun. Also, lore has it that Clint got his first leading spag. role because he walked like a cat.
Why all those Londoners flocked to the movie still intrigues me, though that was a long time ago, Manifest Destiny, materialism or the desire to roam freely? I don't know.
