Corruption, the Model of Free Market Capitalism

CORRUPTION

The fraud, corruption and wasteful mismanagement is so deeply ingrained in the present capitalist system that it can make a person "insane" trying to follow up the politicians of both parties, the large corporate charities, the bankers, transnational corporations and media cronies as their corruption poisons the world.

Its easy enough to find case after case after case of illegal donations, pay to play, waste and/or disappearance of funds, racketeering, connections to International drug trafficking and crime, and see the same hundreds (maybe thousands) of names pop up time and again. Its just this complexity of criminal connections which is crazy to follow and summarize.

I have tried to pay particular attention to the relief efforts for Haiti which resulted in the waste of 10 billion dollars which could have greatly improved the lives of Haitian families, and instead disappeared down the rabbit hole.

See for example: Confidential Documents: Red Cross Itself May Not Know How Millions Donated for Haiti Were Spent. The documents also raise questions about the accuracy of the Red Cross’ count of how many Haitians it helped, concluding the figures on one project were “fairly meaningless.”

To the point where stupidity reigns where hand washing and cleaning latrines is promoted to children who have no water available (see the Propublica document). See the photo of the "housing" the American Red Cross provided and wonder how these stood up to Hurricane Matthew.

"At one camp for Haitians displaced by the earthquake, latrines provided by the Red Cross were dirty or did not work, and community members reported an "'ARC flood' of waste from a latrine when it rained."

And, if you look at the financial aspect of organizations like ARC and Clinton Foundation, one often finds that most of the relief funds donated by well-meaning empathetic donors actually goes to inflated salaries and bonuses, luxurious travel expenses, new Toyotas, laptops, and military operations... often to the same people who pop-into NGOs, then into government, then into high level corporate structures and law firms, back into government, a revolving door. Ask yourself where Chelsea Clinton managed to pick up 15 million dollars of net worth in the past few years and Senator Mitch McConnell became one of the richest Senators? Ask yourself why when these corrupt people are caught red handed they pay a token fine and go free.

Follow the money as it makes its rounds between this class of big racketeers... how they essentially steal it from everyone the world over through everything from taxes, to charitable donations, confiscation (privatization)... nefarious schemes such as destroying a countries political structure, economy, and/or infrastructure (not to mention the killing of millions of civilians) and circulate the profits amongst themselves. Over dead bodies and maimed children. Its not so much a conspiracy (I doubt if the Rotschilds or the Clintons or whoever are controlling a conspiracy) as it is the norm of doing business under the model of neoliberal free market economics.

Nothing more racist than U.S. imperialism and those in charge of it. And Haiti has been brought up by Clinton as a success story. The American people, some of them, are going to elect her as President. It's absolutely amazing.

the people need the right to sue when propaganda hurts them. Yeah, like that's going to happen or some law requiring truth-telling is going to happen.

To me, it all looks like the beginning of a huge toilet flush.

as President, Corruotion is King of America.
Look, I understand "power corruption" go hand in hand. That's the nature of human politics. But, from time to time you get a ruling class that says "let's better the peasants condition, even though it'll cost us." What's wrong today is that this isn't even in the back of the mind, an echo of thought, in rulership today.

Orwell: Where's the omelette?

Song of the lark's picture

One Plan to rule them all, One Grift to find them,
One Ponzi to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Stars and strips where the Shadows lie.
