Astronomy: Street Prophets Sunday All Day Brunch (Art)

Welcome to Sunday Brunch. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a while and let us know what is new with you. Yesterday was Astronomy Day. I have been interested in outer space all my life. I remember as a child Dad would take to the San Francisco Planetarium every time there was a new show. We watched all the moon landings. It was a special bond Dad and I had looking at the stars. As an artist I started out my graphic art career doing space pictures. I still do a lot of them to this day. I use the moon in a lot of my pictures. Here are a few of my space art pictures.

Are those paintings or photoshop creations? They look like they might be SF book illustrations. Anyway, nice work.

When I taught I loved using NASA images. Here's one site:

And today's featured photo from that site:

I use Bryce 3D for putting pictures together and DAZ for the figures.

I'm no techie, but I appreciate your work. In my part of the world so called outsider art (what I would call folk art) is the thing. Located a few miles away is Howard Finster's Paradise Garden and his Folk Art Church. It is fun too

I've got his book 200 light years into space It is a trip!

I can only think that it comes from the perfection of each individual in the image. Not bad unsettling, just an alarm buzz, can't articulate it. Maybe it reminds me of looking at Viewmaster reels (?) which was a sickbed treat, where fever dreams also played out. Nothing like warm Coke, dry toast and Viewmaster to make it through the day. In my parents' bed.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
