So let me get this straight. Maybe there will be a nuclear exchange some time before the elections in 2024. If it happens, everyone's cancer risks will go way up. The results will be blamed on Biden, whether the corporate media approve of such a message or not -- just as the public will blame inflation on Biden and the Democrats in two weeks when the midterms happen. And this is supposed to be a strategy for something or other.

It seems that the anti war left dissolved the minute Obama started continuing Bush’s war of terror and increased troops in Afghanistan and decided that Gaddaffi needed to go in Libya and that drones saved American troops lives. They bitched about Trump trying to bring the troops home from Syria and Afghanistan because he was Orange man bad, but then cheered when Biden butchered the job. I got whiplash from how fast they pivoted from Covid Covid and anti vaxxers deserve to die to rah rah rah Ukraine and whitewashing our support of the Ukraine Nazis.

Nuclear war should not be a political football, or a prop in our absurd Kabuki existence. The fact that it *is* being treated so is an abomination. If a nuclear exchange occurs in the current environment, none of us will live long enough to worry about developing cancers.
The situation that developed last week, in which a Russian fighter "dropped a missile" while in range of a British Rivet Joint signals intelligence aircraft (which is actually on loan from the USAF), is a great example of the risks we face. The claim is that it was a "mechanical failure", and apparently the missile either didn't have lock or the solid rocket motor failed to ignite. In any case, the crew of the Rivet Joint knew that a) they'd been painted, and b) that missile separation had occurred from that aircraft that had painted them. There would have been a lot of new buttonholes bitten in the underwear onboard that aircraft... If there had been lock and the motor had fired, that would be splash one Rivet Joint and crew- and then how do you just sweep that under the rug? There's only 17 of them in the inventory.
There as a great example of a situation in which a conflict could easily have been started by human error or mechanical/electrical failure.
There will be no limited nuclear conflict. As Tom Lehrer said, "We'll all fry together when we fry". We absolutely need to BACK THE FUCK AWAY from the brink, if you don't mind me saying so. There are far too many moving parts, partially-trained fallible humans, and opportunities for mischief to be here just to try to score cheap political points in a completely meaningless election.

So a new money pipeline had to be designed. This particular money pipeline, however, angers a nuclear power. But remember that Hunter Biden had his fingers in Ukraine, so that had to be "forgotten."

What I find sad about the shitlibs supporting Ukraine because Russia crossed into their country is that most people aren’t aware of the history behind the conflict or our role in instigating it. Plus they have no idea how Ukraine has been killing people in the Donbas for 8 years and that they were sending even more bombs and troops in just before Russia did.

The original cold war was comprehensible
as an ideological conflict between communism and capitalism. It was overwrought and hypocritical in many ways, but it was in actual fact based on a dispute over how society should be organized. The soviets had the audacity to surrender and give up on the idea of International Communism -- leaving our war economy without a reason for being.
We replaced communism with "terrorism" as of 2001. Since no enemy state openly celebrated terrorism as a way of life, our government had no actual enemy and had to hoke them up with mainly personality based hostility against evil doers like Saddam and Assad. Today's "left" with its identity politics has come up with a substitute for Marxist ideology as the Enemy -- calling it Fascism, but really just globalizing Identity Politics.
They are rewarded with respectability by the folks who run the war machine -- something that prior generations of left wingers never asked for. Of course, there is really nothing "leftist" about this new Party Line, but today's "conservatives" make sure to call these people "leftists" loudly and often. Good times for the war machine, much better than the original Cold War.
