Hiatus
Got some stuff going on this month least of which is the big Thanksgiving Dinner E2 and I host.
Have a sick friend who has decided to give up on dialysis on her Birthday and just let go.
Washington State has a "Death With Dignity" law involving a single pill, but she has so far chosen to go out in hospice care on multiple drugs, which do the same thing really. No more suffering either way.
Hard decision to make. Don't know which one I would choose. But I remain free choice anyway.
So will be making a couple of trips up to Seattle area, but don't know exactly when.
And I have a number of commitments that involve being AFK (away from keyboard) including the dreaded colonoscopy again. It's not the procedure itself, it's the gallon of radiator flush I have to drink beforehand.
Anyway, have decided to take a break from hosting this OT for a short while, through the holiday at least.
I know my wit and mirth will be sorely missed, but I will lurk.
Hoping one of you guys can fill in for me in the meantime.
On the road today. Will check in intermittently.

Sorry your friend is on the way to the next phase.
I think this might make you feel a bit better. My first husband who died from cancer in 1998 had been in a horrific car crash at age 16. Rehab and hospitalization lasted almost a year. Then, when the cancer kicked in he was suffering from kidney and bladder infections. At one point he was given Zircyn which caused immediate kidney failure. It took weeks of hospitalization and dialysis to return kidney function. As he got discharged, he told me rather than dialysis, let him die, as it was the most horrid, painful, and stressful medical procedure he had ever done. This from a man that had innumerable surgeries, some leaving scars over a foot long. This might explain why your friend has had enough.
Your friend will feel no pain on the way out.

Alrighty e1, et. al. I won't be able to rigorously host
any of then, especially 11/11 when I'll be in Pismo Beach, but I have canned OTs for/from 11/11, 11/18, 11/25, and 12/02 and I can queue them all up by the end of today unless somebody else wants to jump in here. Also, is that enough? I may have some more od December, but I didn't check past 12/02.
Lemme know sometime today, y'all or yawl for the sailor amongst us.
