I think Graham Platner is interesting as all hell
I like the fact that when I read people bad mouthing him I can't tell if they are partisan Republicans or Hillary DLC types.
I certainly have plenty to disagree with him, but I'd vote for him.
My gut tells me he is authentic. No one can fake that kind of crazy. I realize his dad went to Dartmouth and became somewhat of a lawyer, and his mom had relatives that went to Northfield/Mount Hermon. Platner himself went to that prep school out on the boonies of Connecticut, I forget the name, on a scholarship, but at least his mom knew to apply for him, and that it would get him on the Prep/Ivy/respectable job path. He purposefully flunked out and ended up commuting to a private and not very prestigious school in Maine.
None of that is disqualifying to being called working class. He really did fight as an enlisted man and an NCO, and he liked it. He was too messed up in the head to complete college. Returning to Maine helped him get his stuff together a little. Nothing like being very bored amongst ungodly beautiful nature to allow oneself to shake out the demons and steady up.
Hated by many in both parties and loved by the crowds in Maine. I'm especially amused at the Dems who loath that kind of hard drinking, gun owning, womanizer, yet they support him because of, well, the senate.
Maine's a funny state to poll too. Buncha people live way out in nowhere. A lot more rural than places out west here that people call rural.

Haven't read anything on here. Wonder why.
